either an efficient 1-0 to germany, or penalties. though it depends on how the german defence plays. theyve looked pretty shaky so far, and if villa and torres can get at them then spain will win.

Got to go for Germany purely for Ballack.

I don't know how many goals will be scored but this one is certainly going to extra-time.

And if it goes to penalties, I'll go for Spain (I know the Germans are good at shoot-outs but then, its Lehmann v/s Casillas).

1-0 to Spain at HT and that score flatters Germany who haven't showed up at all. Unless Low gets them sorted this could be an embarrassing final score.

I was going to put a tenner of Spain to win the tournament before It began, I'm kicking myself atm :P

I wouldn't say it was bias - I just think they were recognising the fact that Spain showed up whereas Germany were atrocious. After a great tournament it is a shame o have such a disappointing final. Not so much disappointing in terms of the overall quality of the football because Spain did play some good stuff but disappointing in that Germany didn't come close t making a game of it.

i agree Germany were crap in the final and it was a very good tournament, just a shame spain won it

Congrats to Spain they deserved to win it really.

You have to feel sorry for Ballack, he has come so close to winning a number of trophies and has just come up short. 2 Champions League Finals, The World Cup Final, missing out on the treble/quadruple in Germanyv and now the Euro 2008 Final.

Glad Spain won - their football was deserving of it. As the match went into the 5 minutes or so, I was praying Germany would not snatch a lucky equaliser and go on to win on penalties. Would have been one of the biggest injustices of all time.

If Germany had equalised it would have been Spain's own fault. They did an Arsenal and ponced around without killing the game. Luckily for them Germany weren't good enough to take advantage of it.

Glad Spain won, although despite some flashes of good football, Germany I felt did not really turn up.

Did Casillas actually have one save to make the entire game?

So forty odd years of hurt are over for Spain and Ballack must be wondering what the hell he has to do to win a final!

Thought Lahm should have done better for the goal, Torres shrugged him off too easily but a well taken goal. i wanted Germany to win just so Ballack claim a major medal, But Spain were the better side, could have won by more and looked comfortable all through the game. Deserved winners.

A bit unfair to focus on two performances but I would say that the last two games has probably battered Lahm's reputation. I thought he was shockingly poor in the semi final and only marginally better than that in the first half today. Having said that the same could be said for Ballack and also the centre half pairing of Mertesacker and Metzelder. In fairness to Metzelder he has not played much football for Real in the last season due to injury but overall the pair of them were an accident waiting to happen!

Spain made a joke of that German defence, some of that play by Spain was pure brilliance!

Spain could have won that three nil easily. Good final, thank goodness it didn't go to penalties.

I thought Spain's football was great, some of the passing moves and nice to see them do something finally, I think the future looks great as well with such a young team.

Although, hasn't done much for the kick racism out of football campaign
