Crazy situation, most dramatic deadline day since Torres id say. Football doesn’t seem to operate on normal laws but surely a full written agreement constitutes a contract in the normal world. Unfortunately the midfield options are looking a bit precarious,a defender(s), a relative novice, a player who seemed washed up 3-4 years and Lavia who hasn’t managed 20 league games in a season.

?? We have Caicedo, Lavia, James and Barco who can all play in midfield. Henderson, who is a perfectly valid player, is our 5th choice.midfielder for two slots. Henderson will not need to start a single game.

Who knows? Clearly nothing that was concrete enough to be enforced.

Got to get 3-4 months out of Henderson now, probably playing every week. Can it be done?

Good fee for him no doubt about that. Rogers should be able to replace his goals. I don’t really mind he’s gone to be honest, but we are light in midfield now. Can’t understand why we left it to the 11th hr and then this Monaco deal falling through.

The deal was contingent on Balogun to Everton not going through. Everton decided they weren't happy with something in the medical and tried to get Zirkzee and Tammy to sign on loan but neither player was interested. So they managed to negotiate a lower fee for Balogun last minute apparently.

Blame our useless directors for trying to bring in a midfielder at the absolute last minute. Sack them.

Leave everything to the last minute you have to expect problems. Should have been sorted weeks ago.

We should never deal with Monaco again, and Stewart should be sacked too.
