Crunchie was the reason i started following Chelsea aswell as Falkirk. Alway's (in my totally non biased opinion) had more ability than Nevin but maybe was a bit overawed playing for a big club in a big city. Best memory was him single handedly tearing Hearts to bits in a Scottish cup semi. Also met him at my work when he was labouring for a pipe fitting company and turned up in his brechin city car everyday.

Must have been a kick in the stones when Grant took over considering everything Clarkes done and achieved at the club.If anyone was deserving of a chance to make the job theres it was him.On a side note i remember he used to do alot of the post match interviews when jose was in charge.I dont think he's done 1 since he left.

The only 2 players I've seen as talented as him over the last 20 years are Maradona and Ronaldo before he done his knees in.Forget his wages or fee(we can afford it)This would be a brilliant signing.

Cech Carvalho terry Alex Bridge Swp essien lampard malouda cole (in the hole) Drogba Carvalho at rb as he's quick.would stop teams lumping the ball out to the wings knowing they're going to win every header and he's bloody devestating any time he goes forward!

Still a little sceptical about the appointmentment being long term but to be honest i quite like him.The players seem to like him and i hope it goes well for him(because that means chelsea are doing well).If he is long term i think he'll need time because i don't think we've been playing well for about 18 months now and it would be unfair to judge him on a couple of games.ps 3-1 tomorrow sheva first goal!

Already had a moan before i read this.Puts the result into perspective.I'll get over the result after about 4 cans but i will raise 1 of them to boulderbollocks(struggled to write that without laughing)and wish his family all the best.

To be honest we've been playing like that for about 3 years now but somehow or another digging a result out.I watched the footage of Abramovich storming out when the 2nd goal went in and it completely summed up how i feel right now.We never seem to get out of first gear until we're losing and then (as bawbag andy gray would say)the opponents got something to hang onto.I just think with the talent we have in our squad we should be alot better than what we are.

Sorry to see Glen go.Most people seem to have forgot how good he looked in his first season.Not the cleverest of players but had every attribute needed to be moulded into a top class player.I know criticism of Mourinho isn't that fashionable on this forum(and usually rightly so)but this is probably the laziest piece of management i've seen.We've sold potentially the best fullback in the country for a 31 year old reserve who as far as i can see has only been signed to spite sevilla.That said i hope i'm wrong and Belleti goes on to nail the rb spot down as his own over the season!

Thought we played quite well until we got near manu's box.Everything we do going forward seems to be so predictable and one paced.SWP looked the one player who could create something but lacked support. I know Glen Johnson made a few mistakes at the start but i felt he ended up having a good game.All he needs is a run in the team because he's got every attribute needed to be a top player. On a side note.For a team who often play not to lose rather than win you'd think we'd maybe practise taking penalties

Feel sorry for boula.He looked a great signing until the barca away game.If this is linked to us getting Alves then great.If not it confirms our place as the most generous club in the world!

I think i remember earlier in the season mourinho saying that sheva shouldn't have problems adapting to our system because it was similiar to milans.I can't quite see it myself.

Thought we were brilliant tonight apart from 5 min in 1st half.Just a bit concerned that despite dominating so much we struggled to create much.Aslong as we sort out our slow start i can't see us losing to liverpool.

Kevin Mcallisters a legend here in Falkirk(also why i started following chelsea).He still looks absolute quality at the soccer masters that sky show every year.

When Joe coles fit he's the perfect player to play at the top of the diamond.Hes creative ,willing to run with the ball and more than comfortable moving out wide if things get congested in the middle.Only problem is Mourinho would have to decide between Lampard and Ballack to get joe in the team and i can't see that happening at this stage of the season.
