Not sure if announcing it now is a good idea or not.

He didn’t actually say couldn’t start 2games in 3 days. Rather it was very difficult and depended on chillers recovery.

Yeah I read similar and with his injuries he’s fit right in.

Chelsea (0) vs (1) Teeside-Boro (League Cup) Tue 23rd Jan 24 20:00 GMT
That is 100%. Statistically Disasi scored and had an assist and might have had a second and was pretty solid defensively. Don’t get me wrong. Fantastic having Chiller back, a proper full back who would have thought it, but Disasi attacked just as much, just a very different style.

It’s a good spot. He does lose the ball sometimes and in dangerous areas.

I can’t see us doing much first team biz this window unless it was to loan a striker. And Benzema is the only loanee of football quality even remotely close to available. Benzema no doubt has some black marks on him but they have been examined by courts and associations and I don’t think it’s for us to be turning our noses up when he was selected for France after a long period in the wilderness. the real question is whether he is fit enough for a very tough h2 in the premier league. Can he push Jackson out and add enough to make the cost worth it? Very hard call.

Same team but chuwumeka for mudryck. However my bet is it will be Gallagher for mudryck.

Axel Disasi *Official*
He’s made some mistakes but so have they all including Silva. Available every game. I like Colwill but Diasi has done better overall so far. Much better.

He did get a lot right thus time. I am just about the only mudryck fan on this forum but even I think that he is not the best choice for that advanced 8 /inside left role. Chukwumeka would have been perfect in that role. That aside Poch di well enough. Of course no in game management really needed but no quibbling, well done on to Villa

MOTM vs Middlesbrough (H) (LC)
I went for Diasi, but could have gone for Raheem. Diasi scored had an assist.

Chelsea (0) vs (1) Teeside-Boro (League Cup) Tue 23rd Jan 24 20:00 GMT
He has clearly been told to play inside and shallower. He is under instructions.

Chelsea (0) vs (1) Teeside-Boro (League Cup) Tue 23rd Jan 24 20:00 GMT
My only, comment is if you want someone playing that attacking 8 role like Mudryck is then Chukwumeka is a better choice. Bravo Diasi and Raheem.

That’s the attack I was looking for. Muddy starts

Chelsea (0) vs (1) Teeside-Boro (League Cup) Tue 23rd Jan 24 20:00 GMT
I read on Friday he hadn’t yet been sighted at team training. I think this is a game to play Caicedo and Enzo at 6 and give Palmer, Sterling , chukwumeka mudryck and madueke 45 minutes to go at borough.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Mourinho is utterly the wrong manger at this time for this team and this management. He won’t get the job no matter how badly Poch does.
-
Cesare Casadei
Casadei is good in the air. But he faces a ton of completion for an 8 or 10 spot. Palmer, Enzo chukwumeka, Gallagher all fit now plus nkunku maybe.

Victor Gyokeres
"Our analysis has also shown that over 50% of strikers signed by Big Five leagues in January fail to score in the league between January and the end of the season. " Not only don't they not make a difference half of them don't score at all. Mind you neither do the strikers we sign at the end of the season so maybe it doesn't matter when you sign them.

Ian Maatsen
The point about this is there are plenty of short fullback. Mourinho used to complain his full backs were short. One reason you get to be a full back is because you are short and therefore unsuitable to play in the centre. But you are fast, skilful and have a big engine that lets you run all game. In the end good attacking teams will find ways to reach their wingers high up the pitch whether it's down the line, through ball or over the top. The mark of a good full back defensively is not whether they can head the ball, even at corners, its whether they can be in the right position and show the winger inside or out and in general manage the game out there. Who give a rats whether Maatsen is going to be Ashley Cole, Baresi (who of course played centrally) or Roberto Carlos. Those guys were truly exceptional. The question is (i) if Maatsen was taller would he be playing for Chelsea and (ii) is he good enough? And the answer is that left to Poch we will never find out because he just never played him at left back. From memory not even in pre season. If he had played him and he had done poorly this thread wouldn't be happening. The complaint is he wasn't given a chance and that is bad not only for Maatsen, but also for Colwill and as a result its bad for Chelsea.

Prefer Davies to walker peters

Welcome to Chelsea Ben Chilwell
Putting extra defenders on and trying to play safer is a poor tactic at the best of times. Attack is the best form of defence. Take Silva off put Colwill in the centre and chilwell at left back. Make sure the midfielders use the ball well. Put mudryck at left wing and sterling on the right. Play with confidence not like nervous Nellies. Good chance we score a second or at least have them looking over their shoulder.
