Poch needs to pick a team that can attack. That means.

1. No Silva he's too slow if we play attacking full backs but might mean him if Baddy not ready/up for for it.

2. Chilwell at left back

3 Mudryck on the left, Sterling on the right and a No 10 that can attack. If I thought Carney was up for it would start him. In fact with Carney the false 9 is a more realistic option but still

Petro

Gusto Axel Silva (reluctantly)  Chilwell

Enzo Caicedo Chukwumeka

Sterling Palmer Mudryck

Think you are asking a lot of Carney to be a starter. Hopefully Nkunkus hip injury clears up for this.

Millwall scored against them today though lost 1-3, goal came from clever movement down the right and a cross.

Perhaps we need to prioritise crosses from the flanks.

True dat. Wont happen

I don’t want it, but Broja doesn’t look up to it right now. 10 days till this game. Should be a half decent squad available. Chilwell, carney, badiashile will be fitter. Caicedo gets a decent break.

Could always start our latest youth signing, Whisper Richard's  :)

Whomever makes the team for this now more than ever MASSIVE SECOND SEMI it will definitely not maybe these unlucky and sickly players listed below. I’d rather see Broja up top w Sterling on left Maduke on right. Then put on Chilly and mudrick 2nd half. Palmer has to fit in somewhere.

Wesley Fofana Knee Injury Jul 18: 'Wesley has undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. He will now begin his recovery and work with the club's medical department at Cobham during his rehab phase.' 03/06/2024 Currently Being Assessed Ruled Out
Reece James Thigh Injury Dec 22: 'My wish for the new year is that it will be weeks not months, but we cannot say the period, because always it is going to be about how his body is going to react and heal the damage.' 30/03/2024 Currently Being Assessed Ruled Out
Marc Cucurella Saseta Ankle/Foot Injury Dec 10: 'That is the same for Marc, who twisted his ankle. We hope that these issues are not big.' 02/03/2024 Currently Being Assessed Ruled Out
Romeo Lavia Thigh Injury Jan 05: 'Romeo is recovering after his injury. We still don't know when he's going to be available again because of the problem in his quad during the game against Palace.' 31/01/2024 Currently Being Assessed Ruled Out
Christopher Nkunku Groin/Hip/Pelvic Injury Jan 12: 'We thought it was a small issue, but now it looks more complicated. Now it is ten days without him training. We are a little bit worried because we want him to be back involved again as soon as possible.' 31/01/2024 Currently Being Assessed Ruled Out
Robert Sanchez Knee Injury Jan 12: 'We are so happy because the specialist said his evolution is really good, and today he was running on the pitch. In the next few days, he will do more running to try to see how his knee reacts.' 31/01/2024 Currently Being Assessed Ruled Out
Trevoh Chalobah Thigh Injury Jan 12: 'Trevoh has rejoined the team and started to work with the group. Now, we need to assess him day by day and see when he can help us. He is doing well, and it’s a good sign.' 23/01/2024 Currently Being Assessed 25%

I read earlier in the week that Nkunku was returning to first team training this week. So there was some hope he would be available for the game against Boro. We shall see. At best he will probably be on the bench.

Need to be on the attack, need more options going forward and I don't feel we need our 3 man middle.

Caicedo

Enzo

Sterling

Richards

Broja

More of a 244 idea. Gusto and Chili push on and Sterling and Palmer move up to link with the front 2 and go for their throats.

I read on Friday he hadn’t yet been sighted at team training. I think this is a game to play Caicedo and Enzo at 6 and give Palmer, Sterling , chukwumeka mudryck and madueke 45 minutes to go at borough.

I hadn't seen any updates since early in the week. But generally with our injury updates, no news seems to be bad news. If he hasn't been seen in training then I'd say he is almost certain to be unavailable for the Boro game. Probably Villa too.

We can talk about the team all we want. Player A, player B. Yada, yada. Tactics X, tactics Y. Makes no difference. Its all bollox.

This game is all about "want" and passion. Effort and sweat. Blood and snot. And that includes the fans in the ground as well as the players. In fact probably more on the fans on this occasion. Are you up for it? Yes you.

Edited by just

I expect us to overturn this one in the return leg, anything less than that is an abject failure. We have better players, and if players can't stand up in a knock out semi final game, they shouldn't be playing for the club.
