This game is made for Mykky Mudryk's redemption.

3-0 Chels - Tricky Mykky hat trick.

I'll be very surprised if he starts based on what we saw last night.

Though I suppose he'll be fresher than everyone who played 90....

Potentially the pressure is off a little bit after last night. Still would have the expectation to win a home cup tie and I definitley prefer the FA to the Carabao but if last night went wrong, Friday would have been a real pressure game.

Wouldn't be against Chilwell being benched to give him a full week recovery before Liverpool.

Not a lot of rest for this one, thought we would beat Boro this is harder to predict.

Line ups will be important.

Villa have had some  good form recently though Everton held them to a draw, maybe they have peaked.........

I don't think fitness should be an issue here. Boys just had a good break. Injuries still keep us from being the best possible side this season and will probably be till the end.

But Villa is beatable. They are not firing on all cylinders of late and we should cause them trouble.

Hopefully we turn up and Palmer can find the net again.

That's my predicted Poch line up.

I don't think he would start Gilchrist to restore his 4 CBS playing, so the only other possibles I see is Badiashile for Chilwell, and maybe Madueke for Caicedo if he is injured since he came off early against Boro.

Some speculation out there that Chilwell cannot start 2 games in 3 days.

So CB back 4 it is then...

Is Gusto injured too? It’s hard to keep up with all the sick notes.

This'll be a tough match. Make no mistake this will be a very well drilled Aston Villa - very organised and riding the crest of a wave this season. Level on points with Man City and Arsenal and 12 points ahead of us in the league.

We've got some quality in our squad but we're also suffering badly with injuries.

Looking forward to the match. All depend which Chelsea turn up.

Definitely tough opposition. But we should approach the game with some renewed confidence after scoring a few midweek, and making it to Wembley in the Carabao Cup.

Gusto and Nkunku were in training but Poch ruled them out.

I think he needs to gamble here as we need this.

Petrovic

Disasi

Silva

Colwill

Chilwell

Caicedo

Enzo

Palmer

Nkunku

Sterling

Broja

Gusto on for Chilwell at around 60 minutes, Gallagher for Nkunku about the same time if we are winning, Madueke if we are not.

Predicted Poch line up:

He says Nkunku and Gusto are out, and thar Chilwell and Broja cannot start 2 games in 3 days. Therefore I think he goes with:

Petrovic

Disasi

Silva

Badiashile

Colwill

Caicedo

Enzo

Sterling

Gallagher

Mudryk

Palmer

Our good (of late) home record is in danger today. Very very good side Villa have. Experienced and brilliantly managed.

Hopefully our lads have a great performance today. Our midfield -trio needs to be at their best and we need clinical finishing.

I actually think this is a tougher game for us than Liverpool.
