He didn’t actually say couldn’t start 2games in 3 days. Rather it was very difficult and depended on chillers recovery.

Have to forget Boro result...this one is a very tough one to call...I have my thoughts....but.....if we do win this, and I don't feel we will, we ll defo end up in a European spot end of season

I`d much rather they didnt say anything in the build up, I hate when managers moan about how tired their players are before a game, just gives the players an excuse.

We kinda lucked out with Liverpool though. They play Sunday and our match is Wednesday.

Realistically Colwill probably picks up the shift at LB to rest Chilwell and Gallagher probably starts too.

Hopefully Chilwell has 45-60 in him again without it being a huge risk. We all saw how much he helps us going forward on Tuesday, if we can utilize that to get a lead I've got no issue with us taking him off in the 2nd half and moving Colwill over to LB to see out the game.


I'd like to see the same side as against Boro with one change, Mudryk out for either Madueke or Gallagher.

Anyway it is nice to play a cup game. Prem games are sort of meh when you don't have anything to play for essentially.

Maybe a path forward for player conditioning and injury reduction is a minimum rest time for clubs after a match - say 3 game days off following a match.  TV companies won't like it, but it could create more balance.

Villa are a very good side. But we have a far greater chance to win today than we do vs a motivated Pool wanting to make sure Klopps possible last final is a win.
