What a performance from 10 heroes, shame about the players who will miss the final, should be an amnesty for that. When JT got sent off no way did I think we would still get through, this is what supporting CHELSEA is all about, still can't believe it. Love to see robben back, but he's very injury prone. Oh to see a return to something like the Robben/Duff partnership. The players to be released I really have no idea, as someone else said, it really depends on who the new manager will be. Not sure that we will spend big in the summer, but need to ensure enough quality is brought in to replace those that will leave, Revolution or evolution ?, we will have to wait and see. I think we all know that the inevitable clear out has begun, but there are ways and means to achieve this. The proper way was to get the players onside with the manager, especially the senior pros, to call them in and listen to their ideas and then to explain your own. Not ride rough shod over them, and disrespect their experience. Everyone's favourite word "transition" could then have been implemented , but with far less fuss and acrimony. JT, Lamps, Didier etc should be offered coaching roles here if they want them and allowed to play out what is left of their careers, or at least be given the courtesy of being told they had no future here and allowed to leave with their heads held high. Jose Mourinho cemented this core of players into a unit, and maybe the mentality he instilled in them still survives. Funny thing is, the only managers of recent times who got the best out of this group were the ones who put an arm around them and stood up for them, although, if reports are to be believed, even they, were undone by these same players
