  1. there is nothing wrong with trying to imitate the Barcelona style as it is definitely the most attractive way to play football. But if that is Roman's intention, then he really will have to dig very deeply into his pockets to achieve it. Arnesen has done most of what he was brought in for, and should be applauded and thanked for all his efforts. One of the differences between his and Ray Wilkins departures is their respective position with regards to Roman's inner sanctum.
  2. The sooner Frank and the Bison are back the better, we are lacking their drive from midfield. Bison should be back for the Everton game, and I think Frank will play some part against Rottenham.
  3. some of the media are now citing a problem between wilkins and arnesen as the cause, think it was said on a bbc podcast
  4. yeah I know mate, after I posted the dates, had a check on the website, old age creeping on steadily
  5. Here is a reality check for some, we have lost 9 of our last 50 league games. On the other side of the coin wet spam have only won 9 of their last 50 !
  6. Make these muppets watch how we struggled between 1975 and 84, then maybe, just maybe, the booboys will shut the f**k up.
  7. Supposition on everyones part here, nobody knows the truth behind Wilkins dismissal, so we are all just pissing in the wind on the subject.
  8. my thoughts entirely mate
  9. the sky tv commentators said we took up our full allocation of 3500
  10. or on footytube.com theres an 11 minute bit on there.

more likely they are trying to push us to pay his buyout clause value.
  12. BBC Sport now saying he will have medical tomorrow. My link
  13. There is still plenty of time to go in this transfer window. Add to that the fact that Real and Man City are spending high on players, maybe we are waiting till nearer the end of silly season to put in our bids. By then others squads will be full to bursting, and we will be able to buy at more realistic prices.
  14. Come on guys, Hodgson is the new incumbent at scouseville, he's hardly going to come out and say that Torres is leaving, is he. Mascherano on the way out, stevie boy says he's staying , but who knows, no way is he going to say anything too negative about Torres. Personally speaking, I'm not sure how I feel about him coming here. The price quoted is what worries me, not whether its going to upset DD. Torres is proven in the EPL, and talk of his legs being gone are premature. A severely disrupted last season, being rushed back from injury etc, marred his performances, on form, he is as good as anyone in England, if not world football.
  15. I'm just happy that we are being linked to younger players.
  16. mods may be busy for a while
  17. I can't understand all the negativity towards Joe either, but hey, different opinions. Think he may well have gotten some assurances from their new manager with regards to more starts. But why the bloody dippers Joe ? Thanks for the memories Joe, but I can't wish you well for the future, not up there.

Maybe Joey could have backed down a bit on the wage demand, but Michael Ballack was apparently willing to sign a one year deal for half what he was on, and only heard he wasn't getting a new contract when his agent told him he'd been released. I personally think the decision had been made months ago to release all the players who have gone.
  19. ColeMan replied to mad_mac's topic in General Chelsea FC
Agree that we should be looking to sign the likes of Schweinsteiger or Ozil, but if anyone believes they will sign for the kind of money Benayoun is getting, theres no bloody chance. That will mean high transfer fees and high wages, but thats the only way to improve our first team. I'm not overjoyed by this signing, but as others have said, he's a Chelsea player now and will eventually get our full support if he turns in good performances.

looks like the quota is going to be withdrawn, seems its against european free trading laws !
  21. Finally we get some praise from the bbc.
  22. You know they will mate, the day we get some genuine praise, not tainted with with some monetary slur, is unlikely to be seen in the near future.
  23. Robbens better value than Ribery by a mile
