Lukaku or Morata
I'm sure Lukaku would bang in goals for us, but my enjoyment of watching Chelsea would lower. Still, if it gets us a title, I'll opt for Lukaku.

MOTM vs Southampton (H) (PL)
I haven't given one 10 all year I don't think. Have there been many?

MOTM vs Southampton (H) (PL)
Dave for me, didn't lose one challenge and played a lot of useful forward passes.

César 'Dave' Azpilicueta
I wasn't talking about how good he was. I could think of many CB combinations in the world that would out him of his position. Playing captain* if you want to get specific, but the point still stands. He is currently first picked and will be next season largely down to the fact he is English.

Chelsea Vs Southampton (PL) Tue 25/04 2017 KO 19:45 GMT
We struggle against teams with a duo of strong, powerful midfielders. Thankfully, I think Southampton lack in that area. They have Romeu back, which will help them, but they don't have a pair. Some talent in the attacking areas, but not as talented as us. We should win comfortably. If Cahill is fit, I'm not sure Ake can squeeze in. Very hard to change any in the back three regardless of his strong showing on Saturday. Hope the pitch holds up for the big game tomorrow

César 'Dave' Azpilicueta
English. Captain of country. Captain of club. He's first picked every week.

César 'Dave' Azpilicueta
I remember when he scored that volley against Leicester and a friend of mine asked who he was. He's literally been the most consistent defender in the league for four years.. But I don't mind the fact he goes somewhat unnoticed. I think Gary will be full time captain next year, but he'll only have two years in the job and then it will be Cesar.

Matic
Absolute shadow of his former self. May well be down to other teams figuring him out, but we need a better presence in midfield. Terrific goal, thought his one against Everton was just as good though. In terms of goals at Wembley, didn't Drogba score a ripper against Everton, some swiveling volley ? Also, I know it was community shield, but I loved Lampard's pass to Shevchenko and that goal.

Ake for me. Same level of contribution from he and Luiz, though I think Ake charged out and fouled less then Luiz.

Kante is pfa player of the year
Congrats Kante! A seriously welcome addition to our midfield this year and an eternally gracious individual. Couldn't ask for a better person to win it.

Cahill likely to miss

Alvaro Morata
Why no to Belotti? Looks decent

Alvaro Morata
In my mind, signing someone like Morata or Griezman, who I both love, would not be an adequate acquisition should we lose our primary striker. They spend too much time not in the box, in pockets around the edges. In my mind, they would complement a proper striker. Though it does seem like Simeone get's a lot of goals out of Griezmann

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
The definition of a legend. Thanks JT, you've left a legacy and I'm quite sure you haven't left that dressing room with any holes in the leadership. Such an empowering leader. Thanks

MOTM vs Man Utd (A) (PL)
Kante's best game on the ball for us, but was nowhere in terms of interceptions and tackles though, which is his thing. Matic was horrendous and Luiz not far behind. That game was an example of what happens when everyone is below their best and the opposition is at their best.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
What do you think your post is doing if not winding someone up?

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
I'm aware they're different, I've obviously factored that in when I mentioned the role Hazard is asked to play. A lot of people, not you at all, but a lot of people I've sat near and watched with have froffed over Kante making an amazing challenge... which he had to because he lost it not 4 seconds before. Don't get me wrong, fantastic player, but his season has been well below his last one. i think he's been antonymous in some games and poor in some games as well as being fantastic in a lot.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Consistency wise I'd agree, but his best games would be Hazard on a medium day for me. Hazards turned up 75% of the year which is more than fair considering the type of role he is asked to play and the treatment he get's from other teams, so I think this justifies it easily over kante. Opposition teams don't go out to kick Kante off the park.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Pretty simple mate, it's from your own sentence. "but because of this view people have of Luiz as an error prone defender he rarely gets the praise he deserves for his consistency" Anywayyyyyyyyyyy, watch the games. Kante no where near Hazards level this year.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Call it what you want, most of my football watching is after a few whiskeys. You don't know anything about my view of Luiz, so that's just pulling something out of thin air because you've seen other say it. I don't really know what else to say, seems you've already made your judgement. I think you should watch them again.
-
Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
I take it none of you have watched the last 6-10 games? @dkw @Chelsbear @RMCM I implore you to watch them again. This is not a witch hunt either, for half of the season he was phenomenal, better than he was previously here and could well be in that group of nominees. I think reckless is the perfect word really.
-
Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
My thought's exactly. Was in the first half off the season, has been reckless at best since the new year. Hazard should walk this in.
