In hindsight it may have been better to keep Essugo but I don't see how loaning Gittens helps anybody. Loaning a player you have spent big money on is basically broadcasting the player has failed and his value drops immediately. What if the loan fails? He's worth nothing. Let him play in cup games and/or put him on the bench and sell when you can.
I could be wrong but I can't think of one player that has been bought for £50-60m and is loaned out after one season.

People may not like to hear this but James is a big reason why our midfield is non existent.
Maybe he just has zero chemistry with Lavia but he just doesnt track any runs whatsoever and we rarely get to benefit from his passing when hes in CM so its pointless him being there.

I know we haven’t beaten them in many years, but I don’t recall us ever being under the cosh like this against them, ever. It’s almost like an attackers v defenders training session.

Daaaamn. What a waste of 90mins. Arsenal are nothing special at all, just functional and bully boys. Its so annoying how they restrict teams and thats credit to them.

Next week against Arsenal will be fun but I just don't see how we win. Our attack can cause problems but their defence will make it difficult.
They outnumber us in midfield with power and dynamism.
Our system enables us to have half a dozen defensive units but they don't feel cohesive which leads us to getting opened up. Hope Xabi has a masterplan.

I will repeat, I think he is extremely underrated. If a big offer comes in then I guess yes I would understand why but other than that he is no way near as bad as people make him out on here. He will put in a shift and actually makes decent returns and as we can see can play in different positions. He needs to cut out the selfish acts though. He skipped past their fullback with ease second half and could have passed it but he shot it and went out wide. Really pissed me off but other than for that for a player who we are possibly looking to move on, he played very well.

Gusto is a mix of John Terry and Eden Hazard. Crosses like JT and defends like Hazard.

I like to point out negatives so ill raise my concern that I hope we address in the future.
25% possession......now I hated having 80% possession and doing nothing with it but if our possession stats are going to be this low, I want to see more structure and solidarity when defending. We look like we can concede so easily and are at the mercy of so many dangerous attacking chances.
