Ive been following Aston Villa for well over 50 years - Martinez is by some distance the best keeper Ive ever seen. Youve signed an absolute baller - Honestly you are going to love him. He has an eye for spectacular saves - sure. But equally on crosses he is so incredibly assured - you just wont even be worried - He nearly always gets his angles right - and organizes the defense for corners & high pressure situations .
Mentally strong (and a bit mental) - If he does have a poor game - He tends to bounce back to his superhuman best in the next game.
Im gutted hes gone - But think Chelsea is the ideal move for him - I think he will get you an extra 6-10 points next season - he is that good.

I’m liking this idea of player’s ’running costs’. Given the fitness issues many of our players have and the dire state of our medical department, I think the largest overheads are probably bags of frozen peas, Deep Heat and ibuprofen tablets. Lavia costing the most in said items and maybe extra on tubigrip.

Hopefully for Rosenior there's a substantial pay off fee in his contract. He's an inept coach, it may be a while before he finds a new club, probably in a lower league with lower wages.
All in all I don't envy him. Practically bullied into accepting the Chelsea offer, only to show himself completely inadequate for the eyes of the footballing community. Try to recover from that. And please don't splutter about his high wages, even people on high wages have feelings.

I was out of my depth in a job once, it's a horrible feeling. Thankfully I was sacked let go after a frank discussion, with 3 months salary plus I got my sleep and normal adrenaline level back. Despite the waffle, probably despair-induced, Rosenior appears to be nice guy, I don't wish him ill, but FFS he should get himself "let go" as well. He'll find a new job at a lower level, stable club next season.
