Look at what happened to PSG with Neymar against Marseille ... Fingers crossed, but I don't even want to imagine anything like that happening to Hazard!!!!!

Frankly I don't give a **** about this game. Top 4 is important etc... But when you have to play barça 4 days later and have a chance of going to UCL QF, well you'd better fckuing show up and go for it !!! I'd rather take a draw (loss will be revolting !!!) or a so so win against these cnuts and make it big vs barça in the hope of making a great upset rather than the other way around. Don't want to risk anything (injuries). and UCL should prevail over the PL when there's a clash in dates like that !!!Plus, PL is not anymore worth of anything for us unless tiring ourselves to hypothetical 4th place (blame the bournemouth and Watford games for that !!!) ! Whereas a 1-0 result against barça will get us through and make this season a 1000 times more exciting than it's been so far ... And even if we go out, we'd better only go out after having done a great match and fight so there would be no shame !! For that, I believe we need to rest our main men then against cp...
I am not saying PL should be discarded, but for that particular game, I'd rather see the kids in order to preserve everyone for the big one !!
ps : even a draw will be revolting against dross like cp!!! But a so so win without risking or playing to full potential, I don't really mind as long as we can go the distance in spain on tuesday.

Said it before and I'll say it again. Don't care about the result in this game, because I think top 4 is unlikely at this point. I just want the players to go out there and give us a f**king good performance! Go out there like we are the current Champions and punish those South London pretenders like the second rate club that they are! Put in a performance anything like we did against City and I'll be fuming!

This is going to be tough
Tibo
Azpi AC Rudi
Zappa Kante DD Palmeiri
Willian Giroud Hazard
This would be my starting 11 for the game. Somehow Conte will find a way to shaft in cesc and pedro

fiel got a reaction from Old Shaggy in Worst in 35 yearsRe: Liverpool. They're better than us, but they're not better than us. It's like we're the pure-bred stallion who everyone should be betting on to win the race, but the Liverpool horse continues to be neck and neck despite living in a poo-covered barn, while ours lives in a mansion.
Now; why is it that a horse in rag can compete with a horse in jewels? Simple.
Repetition.
Take a great horse/great team (Chelsea) - fine, quality to start with. Take a decent horse/team (Liverpool) - eh, we'll see what happens.
Now - have the great horse change running routines, running partners, and running courses consistently. Then also, have the not-so-good horse actually running consistent routines, with the same partners, running the same courses until he knows every blade.
That's us summed up quickly.
We're ill-prepared and 'entitled' as some would put it, compared to a team that's put in grit and determination for 5+ seasons now; and in those 5 seasons regardless of manager, maintained similar drills, pairings, philosophies and such. We don't have that consistency; our team grows in all sorts of directions, but Liverpool grow in a focused direction, maximising traits of their choice, not just leaving the universe to decide what their team will look like in 3 years. They have a plan. And that long term plan - the faith in that plan - can be used as fuel in the short term vs. the likes of City.
It's like, who's the more talented striker - Robinho or Defoe? But, if you could only choose one to lead your team for a Premier League campaign, who would you pick? - Probably the vastly shorter, technically inferior Defoe - simply because he's practiced more, and thus, makes a lot more use of the little he has, vs. the 'more talented' option who squanders massive amount of potential, because it's so easy to get complacent when you have it all.
Liverpool are simply a unit. We aren't.
A small platoon of 50 men will take down 100 men if they're organised correctly and going to war with the right mindset. It doesn't matter if those other 100 have been in training twice as long, with twice as expensive guns.

fiel reacted to Old Shaggy in Worst in 35 yearsBIB. I'm confused by this bit, not because of your opinion, but because I'm still trying to place our team among the rest of our rivals. I was under the impression that we had better players than Liverpool. But, Liverpool have played City twice, beat them comfortably once, and probably had got a result the first time, if not for the red card. How come they can do that and we can't? Have Liverpool got better players than us? Are they a better team? Have they got a better Manager?

fiel reacted to Scott Harris in Worst in 35 yearsI think the main reason some people think it's worse now than 2 years ago is because of the possible ramifications to come from this season. 2 years ago, the only real damage that was done was us missing out on a season of Champions League. The squad was still pretty good, there was a lot to work with to get us back on track, we didn't lose our top players to other teams, and we managed to sign one of the best players in the league (Kante). I can't help but feel that if we end up missing out on the top 4 again, we won't recover anywhere near as well as we did last time. The squad isn't healthier than it was 2 years ago, it's mentally weak, it's lacking character and leadership and from what i can see, a lack of quality in certain areas as well. I also think if we finish outside of the top 4, Hazard and Courtois will definitely leave. There is a reason why they are both stalling on signing a new contract. If they really wanted to be here regardless of what will be happening next season, then they would have signed by now. Courtois is replaceable, i don't think he is as good as some people make him out to be, but losing Hazard isn't something we will recover well from. We are already overly reliant on him as it is, much more than 2 years ago (seeing as he was poor that season) If he goes, who comes in to get us back competing for top 4 again? with how slow we react in the summer transfer market, the type of players we go for and no Champions League football, i wouldn't exactly have much hope for us becoming competitive again.

Has to be 1988. The talk was already ongoing about a new premiership league, just three season before the EPL started, and we were going in the wrong direction.

Without constant web hits and traffics from visitors, this place would be a dry zone and probably with no funds raised to run it and it’d die a natural death.
Spare me that ‘privilege’ bull crap.

Firstly hello all and I hope this is ok with the moderators to post.
My name is Tony Munday, I am a 49 year old unfit Millwall supporter (someone has to be) who is heading for the knackers yard. On Sunday March 18th I am running the Brentwood half marathon on behalf of a 3 year old little girl called Isla Caton who is suffering from the same horrible disease that took Bradley Lowery the boy who captured the nations hearts.
The disease is Neuroblastoma and the treatment for this is only available in America.
On Tuesday young Isla had an operation to move a tumour from her brain and now goes back to chemo treatment to clear the cancer.
Through the Bradley Lowery foundation the family need to raise £400,000.
Here’s the catch.
Isla Caton is born into a staunch West Ham family and as a Millwall supporter I am using this as leverage to raise as much money for her as possible.
The rivalry between the two clubs is huge and I pray they lose every week.
I set my original target at £1000 and declared I would run in a West Ham shirt if reached. Due to having many West Ham friends who I have wound up over the years I reached the £1000 in 24 hours.
I added targets
£2000 to run in full kit
£3500 to do crossed hammers at finish line
£7000 to run with dyed claret and blue hair
I’m currently at approx £4,100.
Normally I wouldn’t even look at a West Ham kit let alone wear one but I’m prepared for the stick I’ll get for the rest of my life so this amazing little girl gets what she needs. My pain will be nothing compared to what she is going through.
It’s a very small sacrifice for me to make.
I am joining forums of all 92 league clubs to post this message and hoping the football family come together to help smash this target and help send this incredibly brave little girl to America to save her life by donating to my just giving page.
In my eyes cancer has no colours especially in children.
Isla’s twitter address is @islasfight, feel free to look and see what she’s going through
Here is my just giving page below, hopefully you will find it in your hearts to donate to the cause through my run.
Forget the £7,000 target lets smash it to as much as possible, this angel deserves a chance at life
I thank you all so much in advance

fiel got a reaction from Scott Harris in Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2017/2018Watching this Arsenal game and my main take away so far - American commentators totally outshine the current English & Scottish. We get redundant facts and non stories throughout games - but the Americans far more often offer genuine insight or fresh perspective. They feel like real people as opposed to robots.

fiel reacted to Famous CFC in Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2017/2018Seria A is poor. Arsenal always have this type of performance in them, especially with the attacking players they have.

fiel reacted to coco in Enough is enough.Go back 20-50 years and Chelsea was considered a club with a bit of flair on the pitch, we liked to try and pass the ball about rather than the direct option. Even when Roman arrived this was still the case. And still is now, if we can get hold of the ball.
-
fiel got a reaction from GarnachoCheese in Enough is enough. It doesn't cost megabucks to play a high-pressing, possession-dominating game at all. I'll list teams who've employed exactly that with barely any money to throw around compared to their rivals -
Napoli; Dortmund; Monaco; Liverpool; Sampdoria; Valencia; and more. All have less money than their rivals; all play aggressive, fast, attacking, effective football - against their richer rivals too.
And if it did cost megabucks to play such a way, well, we have megabucks.

fiel reacted to theone in Next Chelsea Manager^^ there are similar videos of Conte and how he set up Juventus and won two in a row , i am not saying Sarri is a bad manager , every manger struggles when he is at Chelsea sooner or later. its time to acknowledge there something else that need fixing first

fiel reacted to strider6004 in Next Chelsea ManagerPersonally don't think he will come to the UK. I like the sound if what he has done though and his philosophy.

fiel reacted to strider6004 in Next Chelsea ManagerAs a long shot I could see Roberto Mancini coming back though have seen nothing mentioned in the press.
I think with the exception of Enrique and Jody M a lot of the previous mentioned managers just won't want to come to the UK, IMO.
