The Villains vs The Villans
Liverpool haven't lost at home in the league this season, fingers crossed that now is the time for that to change. Please please please Villa, do us all a favour and beat the Scum.

Champions League Quarter/Semi Final Draw
Not surprised by the draw and I feel quite confident we can go through, like many others have said the second leg at home is a massive advantage as I doubt Benitez will go all guns blazing in the first leg and with a bit of luck Torres may get nobbled. Here's a thought though, Lamps, Drogba and especially Essien aught to be careful in the first leg as I wouldn't put it past the scum using dirty tactics in order to get them sent off. I just hope it's on SBS over here in Australia as I'll be gutted if I don't see the matches.

Who watches the Watchmen?
I did last night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It does help if you've read the graphic novel though.

Best/Favourite live album
For me there's only one option and it's Haarp by Muse, I was there and it was the best concert I've been too so the album just resurrects memories every time I listen to it.

Mancs vs. Scum
I'm glad I'm in Australia so I won't have to suffer all the rhubarb that Liverpool will be no doubt be spouting after this result.

stupid tactics question
I'm sure Reading man marked Ronaldo out of the game a couple of seasons ago at Old Trafford and came away with a draw.

SCOLARI SACKED
I find it hard to believe that Grant is in with a shout, he's just getting mentioned because he's available.
-
SCOLARI SACKED
I wouldn't be adverse to Sven coming in, surely he couldn't be any worse than Scolari was.

SCOLARI SACKED
Hardly a surprise as I think the writings been on the wall ever since the humilation at Old Trafford, and I think the board are seriously concerned that had Scolari remained we may well have missed out on the Champions League next season. I just hope we've got somebody lined up to take over. Ruud's available.

New Laptop, advice please.
Congratulations on your purchase and the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Also if you don't like the Safari browser, I'm not a big fan, allow me to recommend Camino it's like Firefox (it's made by the same people) but it's Mac centric and it's the business.

Big announcement?
I don't think Roman will sell. Don't quote me on this, but I recall hearing that the reason Roman hasn't flashed the cash recently is due to the current economic climate in Russia, apparently the country has been severely affected by the credit crunch but is doing it's best to keep the true extent of it from the Western media, as such the oligarchs have been instructed by the Russian government to keep their spending to a minimum during the crisis in an attempt to stop any potential civil unrest.

New Laptop, advice please.
Memory wise the MacBook I'm getting has got 2GB RAM and is upgradeable to 4GB, my 20" iMac which is more or less a glorified laptop has got 2GB RAM and that has served me well, I use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, Football Manager and it has coped fine. So unless you're going to be running multiple programs at once 2GB should be sufficient. Regarding storage, the hard drive capacities range from 120GB all the way up to 320GB, which I reckon is plenty big enough, it would be worth investing in an external hard drive though for backing up. The build quality and stability of the operating system means that Apple laptops tend to last for a long time, I'm still using a iBook which is getting on for 4 years old, the only thing that's gone is the battery life but I think that's the same with all laptops and replacement batteries are available on eBay. The MacBook Air is a nice bit of kit, but you are paying a premium for the design. You also have to purchase the disc drive separately which is a bit of a draw back and it's got a lack of connectivity. You could use a program like iPod Rip to transfer your music files off your iPhone, I don't imagine there'd be a problem going Windows to Mac unless you've got some DRM'd music on there. Also the entire Microsoft Office suite is available for Mac, they also have their own versions in iWork '09.

Our next manager - who would you want?
Zola gets my vote, I'd also not be adverse to the return of Gullit. It would be nice if Scolari did the decent thing and handed in his notice, at least that way Roman wouldn't have to open up his wallet.

New Laptop, advice please.
I used to be PC, but once you go Mac you never go back. ;) As it happens I'm upgrading my old iBook this week to one of these beauties: Apple Macbook White If all you're doing is browsing the web and downloading music I'd say a Mac would be perfect as you'd have the piece of mind of not being a target for viruses. Of course you can get a more powerful Windows laptop for the money but for me the reliability, design and ease of use of Macs is what it's all about. If you've got an iPod here's how to transfer your music: Transfer PC to Mac

PL, Chelsea vs Hull, 07/02/09, 1500 GMT
Sadly, I'm not at all surprised by todays result and that speaks volumes of the current malaise that has enveloped Chelsea.

Your nomination for greatest career slide
My nomination is Stan 'The Man' Collymore, one time British transfer record holder (£8.5million Forest to Liverpool in 1995), he had talent in abundance and in my opinion the potential to be one of the best strikers in the world.

Quaresma ?
I'm sure there will be some clause in the contract that dictates the price if we wanted to sign him on a permanent basis. I'm pleased with this move, just a shame we didn't sort it out last week as we could've done with him yesterday.

PL, Bin Dippers vs Chelsea, 01/02/09, 1600 GMT
Yet another totally inept display. Lampard's red was unbelievable but can't disguise the fact that we were out played today and sadly we got what we deserved, f*ck all.

Dani Alves
Sid Lowe of the Guardian Football Weekly podcast has been raving about Alves all season and just this week he said that he's the second best player in the world behind Messi. Sid Lowe on Dani Alves

Kaka open to move?
Man City saying that Milan "bottled it", I reckon it's nonsense and just a smoke screen to cover up the fact that they offered sh*tloads of cash and the player said no, it probably feels like a slap in the face to them at the moment. Just seen on Sky Sports News that Bayern have placed a £140m price on Ribery, obviously they're expecting City to go sniffing round there soon.

Kaka open to move?
Don't forget Deco.
