Would Zola be Butchs replacement
I wonder if Michael Ballack is aware of that.

Robben injury a blow for Louis van Gaal (Telegraph) Looks like the Mancs have got it a little bit easier against Bayern now, as surprise, surprise, Robben is a doubt after injuring his calf. Fingers crossed that Bayern do us a favour and nobble a few Manure players.

What attacking players would you like...
I'd certainly like to see us get Aguero and I'm a massive fan of Milner so would love to see him play for us, plus imagine him playing alongside Essien, talk about a midfield full of energy. Also I'd love it if we could get Villa and David Silva as a pair, that would be fantastic but the chances of that happening would be slim to none. Good shout on Rodwell BB, he looks like a cracking prospect but we'd have to pay through the nose to get him, as we would with Milner too I suspect.

Chelsea vs Blackburn (Prem) 21/03/10 16:00 KO GMT
Truly a pathetic performance. Only 7 points from the last 15 available speaks volumes about our desire to win the league.

MOTM vs Inter (Home)
Malouda gets my vote although he did fade in the second half. Worst player was Lampard, totally anonymous, especially when compared to Sneijder.

Chelsea vs Inter Milan (CL) 16/03/10 1945 KO
I admire your optimism but if we continue to play like we did tonight (especially against Man Utd) we'll end the season with nothing.

Chelsea vs Inter Milan (CL) 16/03/10 1945 KO
As you said Loz, forget the penalties and Drogba's dubious red, we weren't good enough and got what we deserved tonight, f*ck all. Too many players didn't turn up and I think it's shameful that we went out tonight not with a roar but with a whimper.

Chelsea vs Inter Milan (CL) 16/03/10 1945 KO
I wouldn't go that far but he is looking pretty nervous out there. I reckon our worst player has been Lampard, he's more or less anonymous. The ref is either blind or is under instruction not give us any penalties.

D'oh! What a mistake and I apologise. Ruud would never do anything so disgusting.

Becks out of the world cup
I subscribe to the view that all players in the squad should if required be able to play for a full 90 minutes and I'm sorry but Beckham just didn't fit into that category anymore. So for me his potential inclusion in the squad would have been an ill affordable luxury and to some extent a token gesture. Not something that should be considered if we are serious about winning the Would Cup.

Becks out of the world cup
I wouldn't have had him in the squad anyway.

Haha yeah I saw that very embarrassing. He should give Ruud a call, he could give him some training.

Got to say it was a very well taken goal by Adam Johnson.

Yeah me to. It feels like the Liverpool luck from last season has transferred itself to Arsenal, hopefully it will run out soon.

Fame for ES?
Yes I recall that, but that was an anomaly on Glendenning's part. I've listened to every Football Weekly podcast this season and the majority of the ones from last season and he hardly ever has a good word to say about JT, and when he does it seems to be a back handed comment said through gritted teeth. To be fair to him though, take away Glendenning's apparent contempt for JT and he's actually a sound journalist who does have a lot of good things to say.

This film has got it all.

Fame for ES?
Here you go matey: Guardian Football Weekly Extra Ethical gets mentioned at the around the 30 minute mark.

Fame for ES?
JT would have to find a cure for cancer before he'd catch a break on that podcast, if it's not Rob Smyth putting the boot in, it's Barry Glendenning trotting out the some old nonsense that JT can't pass a ball or other such tripe. Other than that though I do enjoy the show and AC Jimbo is a class act.

I've got a further positive; we didn't concede from a set piece.

The Wage Structure
I might be wrong but I think that Ballack's wages are down to the fact that as a major face of Adidas he plays a large part in our clubs "international branding" therefore he's seen not only as a player but as a marketing asset.

But still not as good as iPods though.
