Most of the time you are told as a keeper to come and take the pressure of the defense when ever possible, it seemed to happen after the injury, did look to be getting back to it this season, but in his first year and ateltico he was all conquering. With regards to the distribution, we shouldn't underestimate, the ballance Alonso offers us, wins most of his flick on's and gives TBO to flanks to aim for. I don't think his distiribution was ever bad, just limited in his options.

I'm not sure I have ever seen anything like this guy, Maka was great but one of his big strengths was positional awareness which I think was second to none, kante just seems everywhere, wins every loose ball and seems to be able to nick an all of a players toes when I would think he should just be standing of them.

The save down to his right was actually the better of the two major saves he made for me.... if i have one, just one little moan its that he still not collecting as many crosses as he did when he first came along.,, where anything in and arroudn the 6 yard box was swallowed up by him

2005- 2009 it was basically, The big 4 in the prem and the Spanish two and the last legs of the great Milan team and there wasn't much in it at the time.. Our domestic league is now much deeper in terms of strength, and it shows that we realistically have 6 teams for 4 spots CL wise and teams like Everton and Southampton are also alot stronger, but i think this combined with the emergence of PSG and recent rejuvination of bayarn have made it a bit harder to condence all the top tallent in the top 4 teams. As for Hazard being the only truly world class player in the prem? Aguero? Sanchez? Coutinio? Kane(Name 5 strikers right now you would have ahead of him) to name a few

I think that is a bit dismissive of the first 18 months of Matic (who yesterday was awfull) I think kante is eclipsing that first 1st 18 months and neither are frankly as good a Maka, but a great thing does not make a good thing bad

Honeslty, I think people expect us to just steam roll every team we play, like liverpool don't have a say in the matter. This was almost a full strength Liverpool side who love to turn up for the big games.. People need to stop looking at teams on there performance against so called smaller teams in the league, the game plan, the attitude, the desire is on another level when they play us. And liverpool are a decent outfit. Would have been great if costa had converted the penalty but the results around us made it easier to stomach. From a performance point of view, Kante was on another level, absolutely ridiculous shift Matic was a bit poor, has been much better this season Hazard likewise, couldn't really get in to his stride and hasn't for a month or so, if he's carrying somthing lets give him a rest. I think we have to find a way to get Fabregas in the team, the guy is another level and we have no one else close to him in terms of seeing and executing a killer ball. I'd love to see, Costa push Hazard or pedro up top as a support striker and play Fabregas in a midfield 3

He's being gratuitous, Hazard on from is our best player, but I think cole in his pomp was a better player for us. Maybe not as talented but more effective in both directions. Talent is only half the battle and while Eden has it in spades I think he lacks some fundamentals to take him up that level, not consistent enough. Robbed is a whole other level for example

Every time i go in to this thread it feels like people still expect him to act as though he is chelsea manager. To show up and press conf's and say, its ok here but you know, Chelsea was better. Imaging if you where contantly telling you're wife/GF about you're ex and how good she was... wouldn't go down all that well. he's united manager and i expect him to do that job as well as he possibly can.
