  1. 100% - There were a couple of total bell-ends on TalkSport - One "supporter," "Lawrence" said he was happy we got beat. He can just f**k off right back to the pram he jumped out of. Proper fans don't do the dirty in public. If you want to complain do it on forums etc, but never, ever say your happy your team lost anywhere, never mind on national radio you twat, If anyone recognized him - give him a slap and remind him what it is to support a team.
  2. We completely battered them for the first 3 minutes. If only Felix had found the corner.... Tbh Frank picked pretty much the team & formation I would have. I can't complain - i thought we'd lose 3-0 before the kick off. Simply isn't SFL's fault we have no quality striker in our squad. Another ragingly obvious difference was the keepers. Kepa always looks likely to concede, Thibaut was a colossus in their goal. Kepa was no replacement for him, not even half the keeper. We badly need a top class goalie, that second goal would have been saved by Courtois, no doubt. And on the sending off, that effectively ended the game - f**king CUCARELLA again! The man is a walking disaster, pushes to far forward, gets caught out and Chillers gets dealt a sh*t hand. FFS please never, ever let him near a shirt again. The worst signing (value for money) ever in my 50 years. 2-0 wouldn't be too bad normally, but where the hell are we going to find 3 goals at the moment.
  3. I have no idea why I carry any hope into these 2 legs. Nearly everything I've seen this year suggests we will get slammed. But... I just can't help myself. I can only be a masochist, just believing it's possible, when all the facts suggest otherwise. The only way we get a goal is playing on fast breaks, so please NO HAVERTZ, in the starting 11. Thats all. TTFN.
  4. How many of the players would you KEEP for next season.
  5. You forgot Sterling, easily done, apparently he played 68mins today, though i'd be f**ked if I saw him...
  6. Frank picked a Potter team and formation and expected different results, I truly hope he has learned from that awful, awful 90 mins. We need to play 3 at the back Fofana, Koulibaly (until God returns) & Badiashile. Then our most potent attacking weapons, Reece & Chillers, can have license to do their stuff. Its not bloody rocket science. I'd hope that Frank has watched enough of this Chelsea team to know that Cucarella & Sterling are simply awful options. Havertz plays only as we have no choice, although i'd be tempted to give the other Fofana some more minutes. He looked handy. Kante & Enzo need minutes together too. I only hope that someone from above is not "guiding" Frank into his selections ("if you don't play so and so he will lose value"), or it will only end in tears for him as his reputation crashes. Tbh this is probably the worst CFC team since the early 80's and the most disappointing in my many years of support (in the early 80's we just had a very average team).
  7. And nothing changed with TT or GP - maybe SFL was dealt a bum hand after all. Either way I've yet to find anyone that could come up with a better name to solve the interim issue. Nothing to lose, everything to gain with Frankie.
  8. Why is public perception a problem? I don't give a flying f what the gen pub/media think whats right for CFC. SFL makes a lot of sense right now, espec if we have locked in a replacement for the start of next season. He'll defo raise a smile or two in the dressing room and Mounty will be chuffed to have his mentor back in house. There should be no expectation that we will win the CL or even qualify for Europe at this late stage so its a free pass. Get behind this appointment and the decision, it does make sense.
  9. I have already stamped my ticket Nagelsmann - but the best of the rest, and he has no love here so it seems is, Ange Postecoglou. The guy is a serial winner wherever he goes. He has never failed to bring success to a team he manages. Look at Celtic this season, 28 wins from 30 games!! He has done this pretty much everywhere he goes. Granted Chelsea would be a step up, but I have no doubt that he will manage in the PL at some stage and he will punch well above his weight in terms of results. I live in Australia now and saw his rise, and it was phenomenal, he went to Man Utd to learn from Fergie whilst he managed here. I honestly think he is a top grade manager waiting in the wings, tho I doubt Celtic would let him go anyway..
  10. Bagel Man - no buy out - this sh*t has cost too much already..
  11. Liverpool are playing hoof ball at the moment - exactly the way Villa scored their first. Not a good sign.
  12. And thats why I said it was hard to type - numbnuts. "Even came back after we won one game in ages to try and rub it in," - exactly where? I have been through my activity and have never made such a post... Please prove it or stfu... I wanted to give my support for as long as it felt right to do so. Potter now has all the main players, bar Silva, available to him, if you can recall my support hinged on the fact we had such a depleted squad. That excuse no longer seems fit and the results remain poor. Well done you - complete guru - calling for Potters head earlier. I can live with a failed season, I could live with poor performances. I am sure that most of our issues are not of Potters making, not signing a striker is a real cock up, but not one made by him. Potter is a victim of circumstance, I'm sure he is not enjoying life right now, just look at his face and demeanor. What I find hard to forgive is the continued inability to stick with a team plan/ first eleven. Reece James playing CB is a really, really bad decision. Playing Cucarella & RLC when they're simply awful, equally bad. So yeah I have changed my mind somewhat. Just because i don't jump to quick and impulsive decisions like a 5 year old makes me a target. Wouldn't want you next to me in the trenches. TTFN
  13. I've stood by Potter before, so typing this is not easy, but I think for his health and our teams future it is time to say goodbye. You have to question his understanding of the game when he plays Reece as a CB, denying one of the most potent attacking wing backs his preferred role, when we have a "proper" CB sat on the bench. The message that sends is that he doesn't understand the strength's of his squad, or worse, he goes into games just trying not to lose. Potter looked visibly broken at times today, so he needs to leave, the sooner the better. I throw my two bob on to that Jules Bagelman to take over, no contract buy out, young and proven.
  14. Hope all the "Potter Out" monkeys here watched "Poundland". I wonder who they would have supported when Chelsea couldn't win a one ticket raffle. Great memories of a more turbulant, but imho, far more enjoyable time.
  15. Alright it wasn't great but it could have been far worse.. Positives: Badiashile - Looks solid with Silva, give him a couple of seasons he'll be a star. Enzo - Sprayed the ball well - and not just the easy, sideways pass that Jorg only seemed capable of. Unlucky strike went just wide. Fofana - Got to be worth starting a "proper" striker. Immediately looked menacing. Ziyech - Played like nothing had happened - though God knows how. He must have been steaming but still played as well as last 2 games - which has been pretty damned good. Reece & Chillers are back!!! Negatives: Havertz - Is killing me. Seriously looks like someone gave him a good slap before kick off and he sulked for 90 mins. Plays the ball and feels no need to make space to take it back again in a 1-2. Missed our golden chance. Time is running out for this boy fast. The HT sub of Mudryk - Made no sense. I'm not a Potter out'ist (far, far from) but this seemed a bit odd. Ok it wasn't a great 45 from him, but a HT drag is no good for a new player who will already be feeling the weight of responsibility of his price tag. Sorry GP you leave him on until at least 60 and bring him off with another player or two, citing "he was tiring and getting used to the pace of the PL, like all new players". A bad call. 90 minutes and all the press and rival fans are already sticking the knives in - they all just want us to fail, more now than ever before.., idiots. Don't be a part of the problem, support Chelsea, the team and Potter. I'm sure it will happen soon.
  16. Time to bring him back - and your wad to the match...
  17. Look, it was better. Still has a feel of two points dropped as Liverpool were awful for 70 odd minutes. Again the lack of a proven predator upfront killed us. Kai, god bless him for that goal, isn't a lone striker. He's not even a striker. I'm still trying to work out where he fits, and the longer it takes me the more inclined I am to just say he doesn't.... He makes Kerry Dixon look industrious (for those that remember), but unlike King Kerry he has no hope of a solid 20+ goals a season. Maybe time to move him back to Germany and cut our losses. He'd still command some kind of fee as a young German international, money which we could spend on a proper poacher. I'm seriously still wondering how water tight Toney's contract is. Worth testing. Anyway Muddy looked the business and am looking forward to seeing more, has a bit of Eden about him. Ziyech played pretty well too, but Silva remains PL royalty. What a player! Can we not spend the next 100mil on a cloning machine Todd? TTFN.
  18. Not at all Jack, but just because I haven't been a longstanding member of the forum, doesn't mean I haven't put my time in at the Bridge or supporting the club. The two are totally separate things. I go back to the early 80's, my all time favourite player is Pat Nevin, and I can assure you I saw things you can only have watched on youtube. However, my point of just supporting the club, and yes to me that does mean I support the manager (the only one I was deadset against was Benitez but weren't we all) , I stand by. No disrespect to a member with 1.1k posts, honestly..
  19. Really? Maybe the squad, but the current team? If we had the 3 missing defenders available, I guarantee we'd be much higher, though maybe not top 3. The competition is only going to get harder, Newcastle, Spurs (with the poss new PSG investment) & Man Ure regaining form. There is no God given right to success Jack, if you can't handle the bad times with the good, supporting Chelsea may not be for you. But you are a funny man, and I appreciate that...
  20. Yeah.. I don't get it, but I haven't for so many of the transfers we have made in the last two windows. Just how the hell are we going to stay under the FIFA fair play cap? Would much rather have put the money towards getting Dec Rice back or, and here's one from outside the box, bringing in Ivan Toney. He's a proven goal scorer in PL now. Only 25 and an excellent penalty taker. OK he has the gambling issue to resolve, but even if he is wiped for a few month's he's got years in him. Imagine a CFC where we have Chillers and Reece rampaging down the wings, Conor, Mason & Dec in midfield, with Toney upfront. England FC!
  21. Physically - err yes! Defensively? hell no!
  22. Much better, though we have to start turning dominance into goals. Conor was outstanding in his work rate, Kepa made some good saves and the new guy, Badiashile, had a promising debut. If only we had a striker.. At least should keep the Potter boo-boys quiet for a week.
  23. 1) Gallagher 2) Ziyech 3) Kepa - Honorable mention Badiashile on debut, did nothing wrong.
  24. No, none of us can do that, but, those of us who do remember times before Matthew Harding know where we came from. It wasn't all roses and trophies, but it was character building. Look at Liverpool & Leeds, when I was a young 'un they dominated football, much like Man C do today. They both went into huge decline for years, it's just a part of football. Until Ferguson, Manchester Utd were just also rans really, the odd cup or so, but nothing that hinted at what was to come. You just have to accept (and learn to enjoy) the good with the bad and not expect CFC to be winning trophies every year. We had some great times and fun following in the 80's, we'd win when we least expected and lose horribly against some cloggers, but it was, nearly, always the best day of the week. Nothing lasts forever, so try and find enjoyment in just supporting your team through thick and thin, you'll live longer and happier.
  25. The 90 minutes left me angry, depressed and empty, in that order. Felix would have been a huge positive, if he hadn't stretched himself into that lunge. He looked like he wanted to beat his man and be direct. Huge disappointment that he will now sit out the next three, but not Potters fault. Their first goal, a deflection that took Willians shot away from Kepa, who would easily have saved otherwise (maybe - it was straight at him, but.. more later) was just bad luck, not Potters fault. Shortly after we had a shot deflected that took it towards Leno, bad luck again. We bossed large amounts of the game and got a deserved equalizer, only for Felix to make a tackle he should have never gone for, bad call on his behalf, but hardly Potters fault. Finally another Kepa clanger (what was he thinking?) gifted Vinicius (Snr I presume) an opportunity my grandad could have found the net with, but not Potters fault. Now I have to listen to idiots attack Potter as the reason we are, where we are, again. Watching so called "experts" clamor for his head and stoke the sh*t. I wasn't at the game myself but according to ESPN fans were singing Thomas Tuchel's name, if true they need taking outside and having a word with. TT's transfer choices are the main reason we are in the sh*t now. They weren't working for him, so he was fired, remember? He brought in duffers like Aubamayang, Cucarella, Sterling, Koulibaly, none are anywhere near worth what we paid. We need a class keeper (Mendy? don't make me laugh, he's got two left feet) and a proper finisher (no idea who, but i don't get paid thousands to watch football around the globe and find him.) Face facts - we are not going to finish top 4 - will be lucky(?) to even get Europa. Time to stop expecting this team to win every time they walk out. It ain't happening, so get off the team & Potters backs and bloody support the club. There are are enough opposition fans who hate us, already fanning the fires our own idiot's are starting. If the footy gods are reading this - please find some other team to have your sh*ts and giggles with.
