Breezy reacted to Backbiter in Mateo KovačićHopefully they'll be competing at the bottom of the English pyramid when their financial shenanigans get punished, so the only things he'll win will be lower league titles and promotion bonuses.

Breezy reacted to Valerie in Harry Kane. Will he stay or will he go?Sheesh, that Emerson Royal is really outspoken, isn't he.

Breezy reacted to dansubrosa in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone! For the first time in years we actually get a manager in at a very good time. He has the whole summer and pre season to get the squad to how he wants it.
Next season can’t be any worse but I am optimistic. I think we’ll push for top 4 at the very least.
-
Excited and buzzing about things for the first time since last summer! Lots of work to do this summer but cant help but feel optimistic!
-
Breezy reacted to Mod in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!It feels like just being sold a car and you can't drive it for a few months to see if it drives like a dream or she's an old banger!
The apprehension!
Welcome on P0ch!
Don't tell Liam....

Breezy reacted to ozboy in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!I think the club have done the required due diligence on this. It may not work out but its a reasonable and sensible appointment. Two years is the right length of time for a manager contract.

Breezy reacted to enigma in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!I can't say I'm not optimistic about Pochettino. I would have liked Enrique as my first choice, but i am interested in Pochettino and his coaching. We need a good preseason more than anything. I think a lot of this season has stemmed from a poor preparation.
Not to mention key injuries throughout the season which isn't spoken about enough by the media. They speak about how poor we've been and rightly so, but much of that is also down to a inconsistent first 11 that needed rotation constantly due to injuries.
Anyone saying we can't challenge for at least top four next season is dismissing the talent of the team and it's potential. Newcastle have a bang average team on paper and finished 4th ffs. Nobody gave them a chnace at top four before last season.

Breezy got a reaction from goose in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone! Can't disagree really with what you have said at all really we could play Fofana instead of Silva as well and your probably right on Kane but I was just thinking of the Pochettino factor or instead of Lukaku you could go for Oshiemen or Watkins or Toney although he is banned until January they are proven Premier league players now and I think either of them would do well.
-
Breezy reacted to axman2526 in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!Apparently part of the reason it took so long for Pochettino to commit is he wanted assurances the squad clear out would happen, that he would be given a proper number 9 and that Mount would be kept.

Breezy reacted to Sconnie Blue in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!Could potentially get both Lavia and Ugarte for the price of Rice.
-
Breezy reacted to Victor90 in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!I'm happy with this appointment.
Given the circumstances, I do think he's a good fit right now. I don't expect him to get this team up and running right away but I do believe he's the man who can get them on the right track and start us into a new exciting era.
-
Breezy reacted to Sconnie Blue in Manual UgarteCaicedo is still a name being mentioned by Romano.
I wonder if the club do intend on getting both Ugarte and Caicedo.
-
Breezy reacted to axman2526 in Manual UgarteDepends how many players we can clear out and how much we get for them.
Those 2 midfielders are.probably 140moll or so combined, maybe more. How much does a new keeper cost us? Who is the striker? Are we really looking at 120mill to Napoli for Big Vic now their coach has resigned?

Breezy reacted to Boyne in WSL Champions 22/23I bet Basil is bouncing. What a great way for Pernille and Magda to end their time at Chelsea.
-
Breezy reacted to Boyne in WSL Champions 22/23Will do. Wish I'd gone to the game but had other things planned.
-
Breezy reacted to Mod in WSL Champions 22/234 times in a row!
Feel free to spam some pics @Boyne

Breezy reacted to Dr. Socrates in Manual UgarteQuite a coup if we’ve pulled this one off as there are a lot of clubs reportedly interested in him.

Breezy reacted to petre ispirescu in Mason MountWe must balance the FFP books and he is our biggest asset on that matter.
Around 60M for a player with a year left on his contract is a pretty good deal.
He is a Chelsea boy, but unfortunately desperate times call for desperate decisions. I'm sure he'd have already signed a new contract by now if it wasn't for FFP and our need to sell homegrown talent to balance the books.
Some have to die in order for others to live and for Chelsea, as a football club, this is a pivotal summer. We either judge it sentimentally or we do the right things and balance the books as fast as we can, bring the new manager (Pochettino?!) a few players that he specifically asks for and get the Boehly & Eghbali project finally going.
We simply cannot afford another f**k up next season and top four is a must.
I like Mount, but IMHO he will never be a Lampard or a Terry in the Chelsea history no matter how much he'd stay at the club.
He is a good player, but unfortunately too much of a system player and when you have to think hard to define a player's position on the pitch, then you know 60M is a good deal.
He is not good enough for a number 10, not a winger and too lightweight to play in the pivot. As for a number 8 in a 4-3-3, similar to Ten Hag at United, it would mean a midfield of Casemiro, Mount and Fernandes which IMHO is suicidal as there is not enough steel in that area and judging by their current season, they are not really that much of a scoring machine and a possession based team to not care about being run over by any decent midfield.

This used to be an important fixture.
