Koke linked with Chelsea switch
Now this is a player that would take our team to the next level. Couldn't think of a more perfect midfielder for a Mourinho team Hardworking, versatile, defensively good, loves to get stuck in and has the flair, technique and skill that most Spanish midfielders are known for A midfield 3 of Matic, Cesc and Koke would potentially be the best in the world. I do wonder if the reason we haven't bought a new CM this Summer is because Jose wants this guy and is willing to wait another season to sign him. If that is the case then I'm happy to wait. He's only 23 and will just get better

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
The negativity on here is absolutely ridiculous! People comparing this to the 2011 season need to take a look at our team then compared to now Cech Ivanovic alex terry Cole Lampard essien Ramires Anelka drogba malouda Essien was crocked, lampard was 32, drogba was 33, anelka was 32 and malouda was 30 Courtois Ivanovic Cahill terry azpi Fabregas matic Willian Oscar hazard Costa Huge difference in quality between the two sides. We still have by far the best team in the league. Yes I would like us to bring in a star player to improve the team but sometimes those players are not always available.

Willian
Iv'e always wanted to see Willian play the role Di Maria played at Madrid under Ancelotti. That was easily Di Maria's best season in his career and Willian would be perfect for it IMO

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Lothar Matthaus: "Pep is not the best coach in the world. I prefer Mourinho. He is the Number 1" Lothar Matthaus: "Mourinho is more transparent and more direct than Guardiola. I’ve been told that from the players he has coached:" Lothar Matthaus: "Mourinho tells you everything to your face [unlike Guardiola]" Matthaus: I have a German favourite to succeed Pep: Klopp. There are 2 foreign candidates: Mourinho, but he will not leave CFC, & Ancelotti

Kenedy aka 'The New Hulk'
Jose Mourinho "We bought Kenedy because we believe in him. He's a very young kid that we believe a lot in, hopefully. We have conditions to get him a work permit because we want him. We don't want him to go out on loan. I think we have what the rules demand to get him a permit." "He was in pre-season with us without the documents so he couldn't play the first two matches for us. Against Barcelona he had the chance to do it and even if it was a friendly I think it was the best debut for a kid, to play against the best team. It was a great night for the kid and a great experience." Seems Mourinho really rates the kid

Radamel "the project" Falcao
Mourinho: "Falcao is ready, ready. I like him, I like him a lot as a player. I think the team plays very well with a striker of his quality" Mourinho: "Falcao is not just a guy who can score a goal, he is always a threat & is a guy who contributes a lot to the quality of the game" Mourinho: "I like Falcao a lot. I’m very happy with his first week, it’s only been a week but I am very happy with this week."

Is it too early to be depressed that we won't sign a starter?
Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets weren't exactly the fastest midfield and they dominated every team in world football
-
Kenedy aka 'The New Hulk'
Think Mourinho would have been impressed with his work rate, strength and willingness to get stuck in
-
John Stones
Shaw went for 30 million at the age of 19, Mangala went for 32 million, Marquinos went for 30 million at the age of 19 and had only played in Europe for one season I don't know if you rate Stones but from I've seen he looks the real deal and the fact that Mourinho is willing to pay up to 30 million for a 21 year old shows how highly he rates him
-
John Stones
Confident of getting him. The fact we have already made two bids and are preparing a 3rd shows Jose and Chelsea are also confident of getting him as well. We wouldn't be wasting our time with all these bids if we knew there wasn't a chance of signing him. Everton have always been stubborn and difficult to buy players from but Everton aren't super rich and 30 million is big money especially for a player they signed for 3 million only two seasons ago Been quite a few reports that John Stones is very interested in joining us...While he doesn't come across as a player to force a move it's always difficult to keep a player who's head has been turned

John Stones
Chelsea to go back in for John Stones with £30m bid. (Mail)

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
In the summer of 2013, the Reds submitted a £21.8million bid to Atletico Madrid for Costa, triggering his release clause. The Reds, however, were left disappointed as the La Liga man signed a new contract at Atletico that summer before moving to Stamford Bridge 12 months later in a £32m deal. In Fran Gillen’s biography of the Spanish international, entitled ‘Diego Costa: The Art of War’, it emerges why Costa turned down Liverpool for Chelsea. It reads: “Jose Mourinho, recently returned to Chelsea, had also identified Costa as a primary target, a Didier Drogba-style centre-forward around whom he could forge a new winning machine. “However, Mourinho had yet to persuade the owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, to accelerate his rebuilding plans. In both acquiring new players and moving others on, the process would be gradual. “If Costa could not be signed [for Chelsea] now, a strategy was needed to ensure he was delayed, and not diverted. “Chelsea and Mourinho made their case to Costa and Atletico: turn down Liverpool now and we will sign you – for more money – in 12 months.”

Is it too early to be depressed that we won't sign a starter?
Still think there will be a surprise signing made by us by the end of the window

The John Obi Mikel Goal Scoring Thread
Don't see why people have a problem with Mikel staying. He loves the club, is our 2nd longest serving player, has loads of experience and is happy being a backup player He's not sh*te, he's actually a decent player and a great option to bring on when we want to close up a game and defend a Lead. Give the guy a break...Bloke gets so much undeserved hate from some fans I'm glad he's staying

Baba Rahman
Di Marzio is normally very reliable to be fair Hopefully this will be completed in the next week. Looks like a very good player
-
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Are people actually writing off one of the most talented players that's come through our youth system in recent years based on 4 first team appearances and a couple of friendly games? That is just utterly ridiculous
-
Kevin De Bruyne
Did anyone know that he's already wrote a book about himself? Also remember there was that falling out with Courtois about Courtois going off with his girlfriend? De Bruyne used the book as a way to slag her and Courtois off...He kind of missed out that he cheated on her with her best friend and threatened her with legal action if she told anyone about it

Squad composition heading into 2015/2016 - good enough?
I'm just seriously worried about Hazard becoming injured as we don't have anyone even close to be able to replace him One of the reasons I wanted Griezmann or Pedro so much...Not only would they improve our first 11, they would also offer us a decent replacement
-
The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' Rodgers
I just find it absolutely hilarious how the Liverpool board keep backing him with big money even though he just seems to waste it on sh*te Think only Coutinho and Sturridge have been the only big successes. Absolutely shocking at building a team And Benteke just tops it off...32 million and 140k a week
-
Baba Rahman
Can't see us being happy with selling Luis without having a replacement lined up. Confident this will go through in the next few weeks
-
Radamel "the project" Falcao
He was easily one of the most lethal forwards in the world a few years ago...If he could even get to half of that level he would still be one of the best strikers in the League Porto - 87 games 72 goals Atletico - 91 games 70 goals Absolutely lethal

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Crazy to think he's only 52 yet has already won 8 League titles in 4 different countries I really do hope we keep him for over 10 years as I can see him creating a dynasty with us in a similar way Fergie did with Utd
-
Pedro
There could be another option for us if we fail to land Pedro....Jese from Real Madrid. Not a chance he's getting ahead of the likes of Bale, Ronaldo, James and Isco Very talented and only 22. Iv'e said it before but there's no way Jose thinks Cuadrado and Moses are Chelsea quality...Jose is a winner, he won't settle for 2nd rate players

Is it too early to be depressed that we won't sign a starter?
People are worried about Utds spending and it's understandable but just look at Real Madrid and the amount they have spent in the last 7 years and how many League titles have they won? One! Money does not guarantee success Does anyone actually believe that Utds first 11 is better than ours? Even with the amount of cash they have spent in the last few years our first 11 is still easily better They still have major holes in their team. Average CBs and a past his best Rooney as their main forward who has failed to score 20 or more goals in each of the last 3 seasons Not forgetting we have the best manager in world football

Baba Rahman
Courtois - 23 Azpi - 25 Stones - 21 Baba Rahman - 21 Zouma - 20 Our defense would effectively be sorted for the next 10 years
