Agree with Barn about us being in a good position with our players coming back. The problem is i also agree that we hav'nt had any leadership off the pitch and think AG does'nt know what to do with all the players now they are back. Still it should be interesting

I dont think any off the players are worth the silly money the are paid. The club have made a rod for their own back though by bringing people in on huge contracts. Lampard probably looks at Shevchenko and thinks 'how can he be earning more than me'?

Sheeraz: 17 goals again this season from midfield, and he's been out with injuries too. Works his socks of for the team. Loves the club and the fans which is something money cant buy. Lets not pay him anywhere near what others are on who have done nothing for the club but moan and cause problems off the pitch. No lets have him shot

MH lower were, not everybody but enough. If we did'nt have a chance of the Prem or CL or was'nt thrashing Derby then it would probably have been everybody. (certainly everybody i spoke to in bars and around the stadium etc,including those who did'nt agree with the booing. They were all of the opinion that AG had to go) They all seemed happy to sing Stevie Clarkes blue and white army though. AG, if you like him or not whether its right or wrong just wont be excepted. Is it fair i hear Qaz and Chippy ask, probably not. Is it right... well considering nobody would have put his name forward as a replacement when JM left and he has no qualifications or experience at the highest level of the game then probably yes. Will it continue, yes. Untill the day he leaves. Which leaves me in no doubt that the sooner that happens the better for everybody.

I would'nt boo while we have a chance of winning a match let alone trophy but some do and what other way do they make the club realise they have made an almighty clanger by hiring AG??? Some have clearly decided to vote with their feet, hence last nights attendence, others have decided to voice their feelings. If AG wins the CL and Prem(still cant see us winning either) he might keep his job. Otherwise i cant see any option other than replacing him in the summer. I doubt even his biggest fans could argue this situation is anything other than bad for the clubs future. I still think the clubs only option is a new manager.

Dead man walking, would'nt be a problem if the club said he was a caretaker. Never thought i'd see a manager with a chance of winning the league be booed at CFC, it was quite sureal. Never underestermate fan power. People who say its RA's club, he can do what he wants are sadly mistaken. Without the fans there is no club. The sooner this is realised in the boardroom the better.,

You'se boys are 3-0 up last night and sections of the crowd singing JM's booing AG everytime his face appeared on the big screen. Dont agree with it but thats what is happening and will continue to happen untill he has left the club. Ask yourselves whether this is productive for the clubs future??????????

Qaz i do think you make some good points. If i'm being 'honest' maybe i'd be willing to cut another man some slack. Maybe AG is seen by many fans as aiding JM's departure. But i do think that you seem a little confused about fans 'bias' towards AG, or at least where that 'bias' if thats what we are calling it comes from. As Callista said its not a personal thing against AG. I think things between RA and JM had become so strained that JM's departure was on the cards whether AG was at the club or not.(I think most fans do too) The question i and many have asked is, is AG the best possible replacement. And if you are being honest then the answer would be no. This 'bias' or opinion people have are of AG the football manager not AG the man,husband,father etc. People can only judge him on his past acheivements in the game. When hiring anybody to do anything in life you take a look at their CV and ask are the the right person for the job. Thats the reason i'd be willing to give somebody else a little more time because i'd look at there CV/acheivements and say: 'This man needs time, history has proven that he's a winner,this is a season of transition and i'll judge him next season. He has done it time and time again at other clubs accross Europe' That is where the problem lies, people cant refer to history or past acheivements when it comes to AG because they are'nt worth mentioning, they certainly dont qualify him for one of the top jobs in the game. Its not an anti AG bias that have given fans their opinions but more a cold hard look at the facts. And they have concluded that things need to change and have no reason to believe AG is the man to do it. You can talk all you like about how many games AG has lost, and we can throw back at you the quality of opposition etc. We can keep going round and round like we have since AG's appointment. I am all for giving people a chance and feel i have said this a hundred times but most people earn that chance. We are 6months into AG 'reign' and what has happend. We have blown 2 great opportunities to retain our cups. The play is slowly getting worse not better. There is disharmony in the dressing room and the only thing thats stopping that disharmony from reaching the terracing is the fact we still have a chance to win something this season. Once those chances have gone(and let me stress i hope they dont) i think AG will be in for a tough time from many CFC fans. If this is a situation you or anybody else would like to see run into next season then keep championing AG cause, i'd rather the club addmit they made a mistake move AG upstairs and get someone else in.

Read up to about page 8, some good posts but whats the debate, there is'nt one. Grant should never have been given the job and he wont be doing it next season The players dont like him, the fans dont like him. I know some fellow fans who are hoping we win nothing this season in order to make sure AG goes. (personally i'd take the league by default. They say whoever wins the league has proven themselves the best team in the country but we have been far from that so it would be by default IMO) He has blown 2 excellent opportunities to win 2 cups against opposition we should wipe the floor with. I have said from the off that the longer AG stays in charge the longer our transition from JM drags out. It cannot run into next season he must be gone in the summer. I respect other peoples opinions even though i am struggling to understand where they are coming from on this issue. As i said earlier for me there is no debate. Getting rid of JM was a big mistake, apparently RA has admitted as much but thats all done and dusted now. We have to move on, i was going to say move forward but thats not going to happen untill we get rid of this twat.

At the moment i'm just keen to get AG away from the managers job. Moving him upstairs is a start but then you have the problem of the directoer of football undermining the manager.(like that Harry Enfield character, 'you dont want to do it like that,you want to do it like this') I suppose the difference would be that any new manager appointed would be aware of AG presence before accepting the job where JM had Arneson and Grant putting their 2bobs worth in after he had accepted the job.(Why???) I think it could be a job finding a quality manager who could work with all the outside interference that goes on at cfc. Managers seem to deal with this type of thing in Spain so perhaps Rijkaard could be the man. Players would certainly respect a man who has played and managed succesfully at the highest level like Rijkaard.

Good points about JM turning us into winners, he breathed confidence into the players. I remember under CR when we were playing Arsenal and he was asked how we would stop Henry, and CR said something like 'its impossible to stop him, perhaps we need a gun'. (we lost that game) The same question put to JM the following season and he confidently replies, 'thats easy, we have JT' (we won that game with Henry in JT's pocket). Its silly little things like that that can make the difference to the players mentality. He made us all believe, fans included. I go in hope more than anything now, and even with our record against spurs i and many,many other fans felt the same on the day of the CC final. This is why some players may want to leave, but more improtantly this is why many fans want rid of Grant.

I know i said we should'nt keep going back to JM but how can you say AG cant be sacked because of his 'record' when JM's record breaking trophy winning 3 yrs were not good enough and it was time for a change of direction .

Cech always seems to go a bit early when facing a penalty taker, which with his size he does'nt need to do. Perhaps he should stand up for a few instead of making up the players mind for him about where to put it by diving early. Just a fault.

I'm not likely to burn my season tkt, i've seen a lot worse than i'm watching now over the years. Although i doubt i have ever felt as detatched from the club as i do at the moment. My biggest fear is the point Bluebeard made about no manager worth his salt wanting to work at the club with the board room interference that seems to go on at CFC, and that we may be stuck with AG the puppet/muppet

I know what my best 11 is yes, and it does'nt involve playing people out of position or keeping the worlds best holding midfield player in the stands. People my not agree with my decisions but i'd still have the balls to make them, and i'm not paid £3.5m a year to do it If FL and JT were'nt fit they would'nt be playing. A strong manager would'nt allow his players to dictate to him,and would'nt worry about keeping people happy. I'm all for people having opinions and everybody is entitled to their own, most of the time i can see some logic behind peoples thinking i just cant see why you have all this faith in AG. If Grant lost his job tomorrow how many clubs would look to employ him? none. He would'nt even be on the wanted list of a 3rd division team. Yet you seem happy for him to continue fu*king up at Chelsea. All i want is whats best for the team,and thats not AG. In fact i could name 100 managers that would be better qualified for the role as CFC manager. It seems to me that you did'nt like JM and was just glad to see him go, that is fine if thats your opinion but is AG the answer?? AG is certainly taking us in a new direction, its called backwards. As for me trying to be optomistic with regards to the season, thats all it was optomism. The other option is to burn my season tkt, and i just dont have the money. I have given AG all the time and benefit of the doubt i can as that previous post proves its not a personal witch hunt. But enough is enough.

Once again when disscussing AG we harp back to JM. He is gone and not coming back the thing most of us are debating is whether AG is a worthy replacement. The answer is quite simple NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. The only thing AG has on his cv is experience.( of losing 5 out of 6 cup finals in the footballing mecca that is Isreal). Chippy you must open your eyes, you are . Yes a few players may move on and need moving on but AG has a world class squad of players at his dispossel and he does'nt have a clue what to do with them, he does'nt even know his best formation let alone his starting 11. If you swapped this squad of world class players for another and gave him all the time in the world would that change anything????? The players have no respect for him, the fans have no respect for him and the longer he stays in charge the longer our 'transition' drags out. Avi,Avi,Avi OUT,OUT,OUT.

Considering i spend about £2000-£3000 a year following the club i do consider the money spent on Sheva a waste of my money.

I agree that Drogba does or certainly has in the past been a great team player and worked his socks of. Its not only about his goals. He should be kept IF his heart is in it because he's probably the best centre forward in the world at the minute. Although i agree with most of what you said wicksey i think you have played into Just's hands a bit by saying you started supporting CFC just before Zola arrived. These last 10yrs have been our glory yrs, it was the 26yrs before that that were tough. And although its hard to accept results or more importantly performances like sunday i think what Just is trying to say is some dont seem to realise how lucky they are. I dont think the playing staff needs any major surgery, just a new manager.

I agree its not just sundays result thats the problem, we have been poor for a while now. JM has gone and not coming back, we have to live with that mistake. If after JM's departure you drew up a shortlist of replacemants, or even a very,very,very long list of possible candidates nobody, and i mean nobody would have suggested the man who's last job was handing out the bibs at Pompey. We need a manager that the players AND fans respect. Grant is not that man, and the sooner he goes the better for everyone. P.S. does'nt mean i'd ever stop supporting the team though.
