  1. well disappointed with performance at Wigan. We looked tired and disorganised at times within the game. Does Frank deserve his place on present form? He seems to give the ball away every other touch. Is Ballack more mportant than I realise? Am I wrong to be feeling a little concerned that this season panning out like last...great start, lots of optimism and then...... I hope not. Come on Chels
  2. They could not organise a p*** up in a brewery. Instead of looking at our club they should be looking at their own organisation. Who agreed to appoint such a ref in the first place..he was clearly not up to the task!? Then if players are not allowed to show ther emotions and say what they think, how come members of Uefa are allowed to say what they think about English football and how it is run!!!? God, this subject and thinking about that night still make my blood boil...so UEFA is it not understandable how the players felt? They hate English football because everybody else loves it. Do we need them? Why dont the FA organise a european event.. far fetched yea but think about it.... would the Champions League really be as valuable without the English involvement?
  3. Could not agree more. The special one was special..Guus is without doubt in the same category.....let us hope the next one is too!!!
  4. Showing respect is I am sure not a problem for most fans but why is so much emphasis given to Liverpool? I get so sick of hearing how fantastic the Liverpool fans are, true supporters and all that. I have been attending football matches now for over 20 years and the last few years with my son. When he was around 9 I took him to the Liverpool semi final at old trafford and the verbal abuse and language directed at him was nothing short of disgraceful...the fear he felt that day has only being repeated once since, when we went to a game in Liverpool last season. All over the country I have never experienced anything like it..banter yes but not the vicious verbal assault as that day. Whilst I feel nothing but sympathy for any families that lost a loved one that dreadful day, is it really appropriate to have a round of applause? I feel not, especially given my personal experience of their supporters. As a matter of interest the best supporters for banter are in the north east but given the team they follow perhaps that is not a surprise!!! Mike
  5. Hiddink to stay would be great and I would not rule it out....failing that Jose is the man. Indeed recent performances remind me very much of the Jose era!!
  6. jose please...he is not happy at inter and when you have had the best it is difficult to think of anyone else. Zola would be the other choice but this would be a huge risk I believe...doing well at west ham is not the same as managing chelsea!! Mike
  7. Spot on....we do need to back the team for the full 90 minutes. There can be little argument that some players (but not the majority) are not giving 100%. It is so frustrating when they... and we know who they are...lose the ball and dont attempt to get it back but..it is our chelsea and always will be and I say that as a northener who has loved this club for over 37 years and travels great distances for home games alone! Perhaps the commitment and expense of many supporters is lost on some of the players...they can join me on the return journey after Saturdays game and I will leave them up north!! Interestingly I live in near Hull and am even bringing a Hull fan with me on Saturday although obviously he will not be sitting with me...will leave him with the 'others' in the corner!! The talk here about chelsea is of a first class team, great manager, fantastic work rate, great pace etc etc They all still refer to the game earlier in the season when we absolutley destroyed them (although they do still laugh about the Malouda miss!!) and all Hull fans I know still believe we are by far the best team they have seen this season (and they have played all the top teams home or away). What am I trying to say? Well lets not forget where we have been, lets get behind the team and yes voice our thoughts at the end..... I certainly want to drive back North this Saturday with a huge smile on my face!!! :o
  8. All very depressing stuff but let us not forget that we are still more than capable of doing something..... well the thought at least keeps me going!! We just need a spark to get us going again..optimist I know. Why are we not attacking teams...we could not even muster a shot until after 70 minutes at Liverpool. Surely we have got to give Drogba a run in the team, it might be just the tonic to get us going again...I know I am on that optimistic trail again!!!
  9. After yesterday we need someone but does this interest not smack of desperation? Is it not time to let some of our young talent have a go? Malouda was an embarrassment yesterday...no desire, no effort, no skill...am I missing something!!!? The young lads would surely offer more than he did yesterday. :D
  10. No we will not sign anyone. This is a mistake. We definitely need a wide player with some pace.....even though he is a spurs player Lennon is the type we need. Should have done an exchange for Carlo.....my wife is devastated that she will no longer be able to watch his warm up!! Mike
  11. I agree...if he does not want to stay then he should clear off. However if he does want to stay and shows the commitment and desire we expect then he needs to work really hard to get the fans back onside. Could this making an example of him be a master stroke by the manager? :D
  12. Frank's goal without question. Not only did he hit the shot on target but his overall performance deserved the goal. My understanding is that the club decide who the goal goes to and not the dubious com. because it was not an own goal...I am sure the club will do the right thing and give it to Frank. Hope this annoys Andy Gray....good shout about not taking any notice of what Sutton says because he can't know much about scoring goals at the Bridge....fantastic!!! :D
  13. I think the key thing I would like to see is players who really, really want to play for the club, the manager and their teammates....not forgetting the fans of course!! One of our major strengths under Mourinho and, to some extent up to our current 'problems', was the never say die attitude which ensured I would always be confident of getting the right result in every game. We need this attitude back. At the moment I am going to games wondering not if we will win, but if we have a chance. This is a massive mental change and I am sure our opponents will now have a similar mind set which means they now feel they can beat us. Indeed, I am not even confident about the Southend game at the mo!!! The team need to take the lead but i feel we also need more from ourselves, the supporters. Let's keep our heads up and keep the faith.....if you look through our squad we remain more than capable of capturing something his season. Yes, of course we would love some additions but you cant get away from the fact that we have some real quality here. Come on you blues!! Mike
  14. Come on everyone...keep the faith!!! I am a new member and thought after yesterday I needed to join fellow sufferers and share the pain but am feeling worse now!!! Actually the found note did allow me to smile for the first time since that game....where has our desire gone!!? Even Jt seemed to lack any sort of spark yesterday and there just seemed an acceptance that it was a bridge too far. Cant or wont believe it mind. Lets hope the next couple of fixtures this week give us something to smile about. Come on u blues!! Mike...
