None. Stoari doesn't really count, unless he can somehow topple who is, when on form, the best goalkeeper in the world.

Well, he does count. Goalkeepers are not simply signed to become the no. 1 at a club. Cudicini has left a big hole in the squad and thus the replacement we sign has to be a significant signing. However, to be honest, I had never really heard of him before and don't how he is rated.

My Dad believs that we are playing our cards close to our chest but I completely disagree. Maybe that Stoari but he'll be a vetran that won't play like Mineiro. But Robinho would be good despite what has been said in the papers.

I thought, for a while, that we might actually be being a bit canny, and doing our business quietly, a la Bosingwa, but I've just given up on that one to be honest.

I am hoping we have remained silent in the market as we have a good, well thought out transfer strategy and know who we want to bring in, but they are not available at the moment. I fear that actually we haven't got a clue what we are doing, and so have just further weakened a squad that was not in great shape to begin with, just to make/save a few quid.

No signings I reckon. And personally I don't count this keeper coming in as a 'signing,' although I know that's wrong.

We need to sign players who will actually challenge for a first team spot, and he will never do that.

The running of our club now is shambolic. Will be hard trying to keep hold of the likes of Cech, Essien & Mikel in the Summer if there is no signs of any ambition in the form of team investment.

it's difficult to sign players with the quality to play in the first 11 in january, so no, I don't think we will, and I'm okay with that.

storari or whoever is needed I suppose, and it would be nice to loan a leftback for 6 months, other than that it's difficult to see who we could sign that would have long term use.

How is it we've never been able to avail of the loan market. We could bring the likes o f Drenthe and Van der Vaart who are out of favour at madrid. If madrid were reluctant to loan them out we could do some sort of deal possibly involving malouda as they are desparately looking for wingers.

In-demand Hoffenheim striker Chinedu Ogbuke has spoken of his ambition to play in the Premier League one day.

The 22-year-old hot-shot is reportedly being tracked by Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.

He is much-coveted after scoring 18 times in 39 games for Hoffenheim since his switch from FC Lyn-Oslo in August 2007, with six of those goals coming this season.

And the Nigerian - who has previously had trials with Chelsea and Portsmouth - has told skysports.com that he would love to play in the English top-flight, although he is happy at his current club for now.

He said: "To play in the Premier League is one of my ambitions - I had a trial at Chelsea before going to Lyn-Oslo.

I love the Premier League, but at the moment I am fine at my club in Germany, but you never know, one day I might go.

"My friend (John Obi) Mikel told me about the Premier League, it is the best league at the moment, stadiums are always packed and strikers, offensive players, enjoy themselves."

While the striker admitted Chelsea were one of the biggest clubs "however there are so many big clubs, even in Germany," he said.

"My ambition is to play in the World Cup - I need to impress to be part of this famous tournament, it is a dream of any African player."

Sounds a bit like this guy would jump at the chance to join us. Flog drogba and get young blood like this guy in on half the wages and twice the desire

Won't happen bcarrol. Any youngster we apparently go after is just mere speculation.

I for one have given up caring if we sign anyone this January. As long as we strengthen the squad in the Summer, I'll be happy. January signing never really hit the heights as much as Summer ones anyway.

youre right, but something about the prospect of taking their scraps (who imo would have been amazing had we managed to sign them) which in the end does them a favor pisses me off to no end.

Its like being on hard times, and having a rich asshole pay you to wax his Mercedes Benz that he bought off you when the going got tough. Id rather beg for whatever Steven Appiahs and Midos people can spare than go cap-in-hand to that club for any of their 50 billion players.

I cannot believe we won't dip into the market, even those "Hotspuds" have got more cash than to spend than us,if the powers that be don't believe our squad need "Freshening"...well what do i know, take a punt on Arshavin and Zhirkov, thought RA might use his Russian influences,Man u are now clear of us and could streak off, what we going to do about it ;)

Arshavin at 15M seems like a good piece of business. The wayne bridge money would go along way in bringing him in plus the sale of the likes of malouda in the summer. Plus with abramovichs links to CSKA we should be able to get Zhirkov on loan with the option to buy in the summer. What about Pogrebniak of zenit aswell whose been linked with Blackburn. He's a good target man and could prove useful if drogba decides to leave. The addition of even one of these could give us the spark we so desparately crave at times when teams park the bus

No we will not sign anyone. This is a mistake. We definitely need a wide player with some pace.....even though he is a spurs player Lennon is the type we need. Should have done an exchange for Carlo.....my wife is devastated that she will no longer be able to watch his warm up!!

Mike

I don't agree that Lennon is the solution for us. He would be a short term solution to a longer term problem. He is massively inconsistent and too often wasteful in possession.

I want us to get some quality back on the flanks as much as the next person however I don't want us to waste money on a player fans will want rid of in 6 months time.

We arent signing anyone this month. I just pray this is not the beginning of the end, and we will buy comes end of the season. In truth, there aren't that many suitable targets out there. Last winter we bought a defender who never looked like getting a game, so save that money into a term deposit until summer :D Arshwin would be a good buy, however I have the feeling he will play for Ipswich Town just for getting out of Russia.

Loan for Arshavin would have been great but apparently Zenit want him sold. I feel he could have given that little extra bit of individual quality upfront that we're missing. Very underwhelmed by our lack of activity in January.

Kenyon said we won't, Scolari said that Kenyon is the boss. So we will not sign anyone. Perhaps we will keep any money we make, and spend in the summer. The squad we have now, when performing, are good enought. Plus, the sales will give us the ability to bring in some of the youngsters. I think, therefore, we will be signing no-one and relying on Scolari on getting the best out of what we have.

I also believe that we need to possibly lower our standards this season

I don't think we are going to buy anyone, maybe that goalie but I think we shouldn't.

Kenyon said no one will come and I think he talks the truth. We have lost Bridge, Carlo and Joey during the window so you can't be 100% sure but as long as we are winning I think we are not going to buy anyone.

I think we are collecting money for the summer to make couple of moves in the transfer market. I think it is a good policy since you have lot more choices out there although we feel we need someone right now..

Unless something crazy happens in the next 7 mins we've got no-one in........and even more suprising we've let 3 go, if you include Mancienne's loan to Wolves.

A sh*te transfer window all round then!
