Thought I made myself clear, when and until we can match the achievements of Utd we can not claim to be any where near the best Squad/ team in England let alone the world. It is not now we decide if they are as strong as they where at the end of the season, but at the end of the season, if they win the league again then there is no argument, but like I said, football is played on grass not on paper or a bloody computer screen, so speculating that because they have sold X and only brought Y & Z they are weaker, may be to you or I they are weaker, but come next May and they are holding the league champion trophy aloft, then all our speculating is not worth diddly squat.

If you win you league title three times on the trot, like Utd have, then they in my opinion are the strongest in the country, as we only could reach 2nd or 3rd to them, we can not possible say we have the strongest squad/team in the world, we are not even the strongest in our own country, so winning the league championship regulary is a priority, until we do, 2nd is nowhere, and hard luck stories, dodgy managers, missed penalties and prattish refs are no excuse. and saying we have the strongest squad/team on paper is bunkum. football's played on grass, not paper.

Bloody hell! :o there's me thinking football was a simple game, reading some of these posts makes me think I was studying papers for a moon shot, all you have to do is get it from A to B then to C and finally Drogs or who ever blasts in into the net, now you stop them scoring, easy ain't it. :P

Very pleased with the pre-season games, was good to see the youngsters get there chance and take it as well, not one let the side down, four games four wins with plenty of plus points, am looking forward to new season and the community shield game, to test our new playing system and manager against the old war horse Fergie, Drogba looks a real hand full in this new system. Only Pizarro has failed to impress, and poor Joe Cole's non appearance through injury again.

I was most impressed by the youngsters they came in and were not overawed, am really pleased they were given plenty of game time, Deco seems to have discovered ability, even if a few do not appear convinced, Sturridge looks a fine prospect, can see him getting plenty of playing time, but the one to stand out from this tour is Drogba, on his day he is awesome, but he appears couple of levels above that and it was only friendlies being played.

Until it comes out that he is in discussion about a new contract & bigger salary , we are just speculating, and lo and behold isn't that what we have been moaning about the media for, printing rubbish and trying to make it look like the truth.
