  1. Great away win, huge three points. What Else Matters?
  2. Yes I certainly felt it, had this awful feeling that we would start losing as usual, but 2006 came along & because you knew Jose & his methods no worries. Now my feeling from the turn of the year is not so much squeaky bum time more apprehension, feel more secure with Matic & Zouma in the team. Still one game at a time is Jose prefered method. They could, but will they? naaaaaaaaaaaaa
  3. Time for Chelsea to start handing out retrospective bans for reporters of papers who persist in writing absolute rubbish and inflamatory articles, Prehaps see a different perspective angle from journalists then. One can always live in hope.
  4. Have little chance if R Hodgson still in charge, he has the technical savvy of a bull elephant.
  5. JT speed has always been very deceptive, he is slower than he looks.
  6. I always read the DM, they are not always complimentary, so it is good to see editorial change, another good article BD
  7. What a lad, what a lad, what a mighty big lad, what a lad, what a lad, what a mighty big lad, Thats Zoumaaaa, Zoumaaaa. Will make a nice song, will try to get it into our repertoire
  8. What sells more papers? as long as the Chelsea family understand our messiah, why worry about the media muppets.
  9. When the police took their dog they also took the TV.
  10. Just reading about him in the Daily Mail what a man & footballer, I never had the pleasure to see him play, more is the pity reading about his legendary accomplisments, broke his leg, returning to play again, after being told he has broken it again after playing just another 4 game, did not believe he had, so got up stamped his leg on ground only then did he believe it when it pieced the skin & sock. Like I said what a man. RIP big man, I might have missed seeing you play, but I will not now miss reading all that I can of you & your career. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2978133/Dave-Mackay-hated-picture-no-bully-giant-game.html
  11. JT is Chelsea would be unthinkable without our Captain Leader Legend, someone else who agrees. And while we're at it In football terms, ‘world-class’ is an imprecise definition. Technically, it could refer to any player worthy of involvement in international football, yet representing the national team does not in itself make a player world class. It is more rarefied than that. World-class has lately come to mean any player of exceptional ability, so that Raheem Sterling or Wayne Rooney would qualify, by comparison to their contemporaries. Yet that is unsatisfactory, too. Would either player be included in the strongest national teams in the world: Germany, Argentina, Spain? So how is this? To be world-class, a player must be at such a level that he would get into any team, anywhere. Germany or Barcelona; Real Madrid or Argentina; Bayern Munich or Italy. Using that criteria, one would argue England has just one genuinely world-class footballer, and he no longer plays for his country. John Terry is world-class He would make Germany’s team, he would make Real Madrid’s team. Even at 34 he is among the select few who would walk into any starting XI on the planet. Jose Mourinho told Kurt Zouma he would be starting in central midfield against Tottenham Hotspur just two days before the Capital One Cup final. It was exceptionally brave management, but Mourinho also knew he had back-up. Zouma would be playing in front of Terry, the master stopper and outstanding captain of his generation. It was a nuanced risk. Zouma deserves enormous credit for the way he filled Nemanja Matic’s shoes but Terry’s influence would have been vital. Just as England missed him hugely in Brazil — Luis Suarez has never scored a goal with Terry on the field — Chelsea have a mammoth job when it is finally his year to retire. Zouma is 20 and has time to become a major influence at Stamford Bridge. Becoming the next Terry is another matter entirely. Taken from. Martin Samuel www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football
  12. Think the trouble with Bruce is that he thought they would push on from last season, when they didn't he just could not handle it.
  13. Well he has enough experience of sitting on his arse all season.
  14. If Roman is leaving us, can I have his private box then, OK, I wont hold my breathe.
  15. Great result Sunday, hope it gives us that little psychological imputus that we carry us onwards & upwards. my team for (I will call him big Sam for now) is, Courtois Branna Zorma JT Dave Ramires Fabregas Willian Oscar Hazard Costa would love to say there in for a good hiding, but as I have vivid imagination so 0 - 2 it is then.
  16. so you complain in the friendlies thread about your presumed insult in the Cavani thread yes that makes sense.
  17. Suarez ban upheld so is still banned from playing for 4 months, but can train at Barca's ground.
  18. Suarez is still banned from playing for 4 months, but can train at Barca's ground.
  19. I hope Jose does not pick 2 RB to play the full back positions, when we have 1 V V good LB & 1 very good LB who would be better suited to play on the left & would have more attacking flair down the left side, better than Dave does when played out of position. Courtois rather than Cech, & with Fabregas alongside Matic to form a 4 - 3- 3 formation then I would agree with the rest of your selections djerkfred.
  20. It helps if you firstly write what you want it to mean. Which you are frequently doing.
  21. That is not what you said & is entirely different from your first post.
  22. I personally feel only sorrow for him, it must be heart breaking for him to think of what he had & could produce on the pitch, now no matter how hard he tries or works at, he no longer can reach those heights again, it must be so frustrating for him but he never hides just keeps trying in his own way to become a useful member of the team, for that he has my respect.
  23. What effort is there in loaning out players? there is no pressure on our coaching or academy staff, just a little paper work.
  24. At last we have a striker that will in all probability have the same energy & skill set against the lower teams as the top sides, which we have missed for a couple of seasons.
