why did the Alonso story begin

I think it's based on the fact that we wanted Pirlo, but certain sections (of supporters) were worried that he couldn't hack the pace in the Premiership, so they picked a want-away player who performs the same role in the Premiership.

There is logic involved, I don't think it'll happen though.

But the story that we wanted Pirlo was based on nothing more than Carlo being here and Milan being ready to sell players. Its not like we have lost any midfielders this summer, and it wasnt a problem area last year at all.

sh*t wall hope stick, thats all the "football press" does

but its what geezer says too. Just a way to keep us in the headlines so Alonso can SNUB a move to us and City for Madrid

I could only imagine the look on Lamp's face if we signed this t*sser!

Exactly Lamps and he clearly hate each other. Personally i despise him more than any other Liverpool player, the way he rolled around and carried on at Anfield which led to Lamps send off was a disgrace. That incident in itself says that this rumour is ridiculous.

f**k, 30m? I hope not

Ideal scenario is:

-this saga drags on all summer

-last few days of the window, alonso puts in a transfer request

-rafa makes his usual c**tish statements about loyalty

-Hicks and Gillet take the money and run on the last day of the window

-a last minute play for targets like Villa is ingored

-Liverpool go into the season without their midfield engine and are in the bottom five by xmas

-Rafa gets a manager's job at Nandos

Rafa could be in trouble if most of his midfield leaves him this summer, Alonso and Mascherano linked with Real and Barca. No matter how much you don't like the bloke Alonso is a quality player at what he does and it would be a huge loss for Liverpool.

Alonso is ten times the player Barry is, I couldn't understand why they went for him last season. Maybe Stevens, in his usual sophisticated manner, threatened Tubby to go for him? We all know how persuasive that little c*nt-rat muncher is.

maybe he hired his legal team to convince tubby.

"This ess ah credible trahnsfer, no?"

On the bright side gem, if Rafa the Gaffa were working at your favorite restaurant, you could order some tostadas, knock him over as he is bringing the order, and then tell him that the customer is always right.
