Agree with you completely on the youtube thing, I see them more as interesting tribute videos than some form of scouting, but that won't stop people. As for the fees, the problem I see is that they are always increasing and depend on the players available that year. I think a player like Hulk has more cost is because of his buyout clause and his worth to Porto. Though he may not be better than a Mata (or maybe he is) he certainly has the potential to be an electrifying player which certainly adds into his fee as well.

It would be stupid if there wasn't an Olympics being staged, but since there is I don't see the problem with it.

I have to say from a player perspective, there are not too many likeable players on that team. There are the ones that immediate fans would like, but from a different perspective their likeability is not that high.

That's a pretty cool stat line, the thing I hate about these commonalities is that you know at some point it has to break. Hopefully that can happen after us though.

So far we have a Llama (not the Lama) and a prophet backing us, things are looking good! Haha

Ya I'm not the biggest Torres booster, but I like his capabilities in this game. It would seem odd for us to sit one of our better players considering the massive amount of missing players on our part.

It is kind of amazing that Liverpool aren't considered a rival, I guess it is a little older anyways. On the other hand I think Liverpool needs to actually win and be competitive to be considered a rival, otherwise they are just another Fulham or QPR.

Shaping up to be a great week, going on a little fishing trip tomorrow and CL final on Saturday. Will prolly need a little luck on both days!

Even if he wouldn't be a top player for us, we are missing someone who can break open those games for us day-to-day in the Prem, its one of the reasons I believe we missed out on qualification that route is that against teams like Arsenal and Tottenham we didn't break open, more importantly he could be a play that unlocks the Norwich's, Swansea's and Wigan's in away matches. It is missed points like these that have really turned into the difference and play like him MIGHT put us back in that threshold. I am certainly wary about his defensive aspects, with players like Mata and Hulk who aren't known for their defence my fear is that we might turn into an Arsenal where we have an amazing offence and beat all the small teams but would be unable to be those top teams, as you have mentioned. I think this will require the addition of another player or two to really put us back in title contention in England. The problem is it won't be just one addition that sets this club right.

I guess I could see that meeting somewhere in the middle eventually. 30 sounds about right though for our part.
