I would do this in a heartbeat! I am cheering for Fernando but there are still bridges to cross for this young man before we can rely on him to carry us to Europe and the top of the league. I think this might be a bit of an ask at this point.

If Romeu performs well today I wonder if a formation like this might offer some different ideas Romeu and Mikel could be better holding midfiedlers and Lampard could offer a more lethal goal scoring option up front than a very rusty Essien could and the inconsistent Kalou. Defensively Bos and Kalou should work together well with Romeu and Mikel holding up the mid. Romeu is probably a little too green for this type of game and Lampard might be a little too old to play in that attacking form vs his Schweinsteger type of role he's been playing. But this formation might give me less defensive jitters and more goal scoring threat as a whole

I cannot simply believe anything about Hazard anymore and will be happy once he ends up somewhere and the endless unreferenced rumours cease.

I am pretty sure the common thoughts will be that this young guy needs to go on loan to get the chances he needs. I think we have to be careful where we loan him in the EPL as others have said some like Lukaku and McEachran have failed to get the opportunities they need where they received those elsewhere. I wonder if he won't get guaranteed 20+ starts if it might not even be better for him to go somewhere like the Championship? I dunno just a thought, regardless he needs somewhere he can get the consistent playing time now. I think its a great move by our organization to get him now at this price as that could quintuple in ten years.

Will have to see if the Podolski experiment works out and helps them. Losing Nasri hurt them, if Podolski doesn't help Van Persie could well be on the move

On a vaguely related note I love how the Rangers third kits are a spitting image of the new Canadian kits worn by Canada's national teams, most recently the Women's football team.

The estimate I read was somewhere around 2016 for a stadium to be ready. Wasn't sure if that meant if started getting constructed now as an estimate or if it was part of the actual bid presented.

Might be a bit much but clubs always seem to pull Chelsea for an extra few million quid. Certainly striker is going to be a position that will need to be backed up this summer. If we put all our eggs into one basket with Torres that could spell trouble if he doesn't provide consistency.
