  1. From what I've been told or read a pull is usually three weeks and a tear is about six weeks. So it depends on the diagnosis.
  2. Looks like the Cahill Luiz partnership will have to happen in big games sooner than we might like, that's assuming he's healthy. If he's out for the CL final we are really in a pickel
  3. I think we really need to focus on rebuilding our midfield if we want to compete. An example would be the play against Barcelona, players like Mata are neutralized if they never have possession of the ball, we need a midfield that can run, complete passes, hold the ball and get the ball forward to our wingers and centre forward. Until we do that we can buy all the forwards in the world but it will likely not help us all that much in regaining our former dominance in my opinion.
  4. At the end of the day money talks, if you find the right players for the right amount of dollars there is still quality we can attract. It means being a little smarter or a little more aggressive with our money. I still think that flopping that cash for Torres instead of Aguero will be a mistake we will rue for quite some time.
  5. Let's hope for that at least, seems to be our one inside track we could take, not sure if Lukaku will be talking us up all that much right now, but there's still hope!
  6. I wish I could argue this but I've said the same thing myself. Even compared to Tottenham *shudders* are midfield does not quite compare. This is a serious weakspot for our club right now.
  7. As per usual it seems there are a sh*t ton of rumours, this time with seemingly half of Newcastles team being signed by us. One that catches my interest is Demba Ba, he would certainly be a great short term striker fill in while we wait for others such as Studge and Lukaku to develop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94mEW7oEfq0 http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2012/03/22/2984064/chelsea-want-ba-to-replace-drogba-report\ Cheikh Tiote is another rumoured to be interested in our part, he would be a more physical presence that I think has been missing for us these last 2 years, but nothing I would get too excited about. I'd certainly lobby more for Ba.
  8. As much as I like Ramires and Lampard our midfield is in dire straits and really requires some investment to make them competitive again.
  9. Oh well we surely haven't deserved the full points but it would of nice to have stolen some or any at all.
  10. Been pretty impressed with Luiz this game thus far
  11. I am also quite optimistic on this one
  12. If I was a chick i'd totally have his babies
  13. Great to see Lukaku is still getting some practice in. I really think he will do well and will eventually find first-team action on a regular basis for the Chels. Just questions as to how much he will contribute, whether its as a pure goal scorer as Studge has done this year (who else did well in reserves) or whether he truly can fill Drog's shoes a few years down the road. A good loan move will seem him undoubtedly get first-team regular time against top flight prem teams. Good to see Chalobah perform admirably as well, he's another one I am a little more confident in though not quite to the degree of Lukaku as of yet. Beyond the Lukaku rant great result from the lads as well.
  14. It really seems all those injuries have taken their toll
  15. It would be nice if we could finally have a "franchise" manager, Mourinho would qualify as the most likely candidate for that role.
  16. That is one of the clubs adminstrations current arguments. They would have to find somewhere else to play for 3 years. Wembley? Unlikely, Olympic Stadium won't work either.
  17. Nottingham Forest most likely
  18. This is one of the most clear votes for MOTM I've seen
  19. I don't think I'm content with any of the teams above us winning the league so I'll just put that part out of mind. I could really care less one way or the other. I would like to see us do well at least in some of the other competitions but as for this, I am just as content playing spoiler in the Prem right now. Momentum is certainly on our side at the moment, can we carry that away? I believe!
  20. I'd agree, I think all of our first choices would be to rebuild on the original site with the history and heart of the team there. But city council needs to flex some serious muscle if they are truly committed to keeping the team there. CFC management can't hold them hostage over this though and it does seem unlikely for this to occur. Of course a bunch of hooligan fans might one day accidentally move everything out of those peoples homes and level them for them, of course I cannot substantiate or condone that.
  21. Unless the council is gonna kick in the big bucks to reno or stay on the current site or contribute millions upon millions of pounds in order to complete such a vast project or purchase of local buildings I cannot see in anyway shape or form how this really changes anything either.
  22. I feel more comfortable with Ivan at RB actually, I'd start him there considering the Bos's poor play.
  23. Haha I'm taking yer word on that Scott to put some money down, I'll find ya if we lose ;) Think its time we fill the back of the net a little more, that should help our odds as well.
  24. Don't we do that enough as a club? I think this is a reflection on the state of our CF's more than anything right now, if they don't have the quality in the final third is that real the manager's fault? All the effort in the world won't help unless ya got some finish.
