That video is hilarious! It literally got me laughing out loud!

Di Matteo Interview
Good interview. It's really great to see Robbie back at the Bridge, and with AVB and Robbie working together, we have a really exciting young management team.

Who has got made the better deal?
Andy Carroll has scored how many for Liverpool? How many minutes has he played? £35 million for an injured player who is still weeks away from making a return. Then when he does he'll have to play himself back in to match fitness. You never now, he might just make it in time for the close season break. Wow that's some deal. And Torres will be playing for Chelsea in the Champions League. Which is just one more thing Andy Carroll won't be doing for Liverpool.

Torres Leaving L'Pool
According to this morning's papers Liverpool have slapped a £100 million price tag on Torres. If this is true, and I emphasise if, then this is surely the end of any possible deal. It's difficult to imagine even Real Madrid shelling out that kind of money for him.

Torres Leaving L'Pool
World class striker he may be, but let him go to Manchester City or Real Madrid if they're willing to pay that much for him. That kind of money can be better used on two or three or more players to strengthen and rejuvenate the squad than frittered away on the single purchase of someone as sulky and injury prone as Torres.

£44 Million Bid for Ribery?
Undoubtedly. From what I've seen of Ribery this season, he'd struggle to get on to the Chelsea bench.

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
Lots and lots of Rickie Lee Jones, including "The Magazine" album which includes the absolutely gorgeous "It Must Be Love". Sadly, criminally even, I've been unable to find this song on youtube. Ah well, here's the title song: More Rickie Lee, "Chuck E's In Love" live at the BBC: Rickie Lee "Makin' Whoopee" lve with Doctor John:

IRM by Charlotte Gainsbourg. I adored 5:55 but am not too sure about this one yet. I'll give it a little more time however, because I've got a feeling it'll be a grower. She & Him - Volume 1 She being the gorgeous Zooey Deschanel, him folk singer M. Ward. It's something of a '60s throwback but none the worse for that. I really do like this album.. While I'm on the subject of actresses turned singers, Julie Delpy, who is surely one of the most beautiful women in the world, released a wonderfully sexy, sultry CD a few years back. This is a very, very nice album, give it a listen if you get the chance.

Chelsea vs Manchester City (Prem) 27/02/10 1245 KO
Sadly you were proved all too right. I'm equally worried, possibly even more so, about the remainder of the season.

Joe Hart
I agree, I don't see why he'd want to sign up for a place on the bench. But how about as a possible replacement for Petr Cech? Cech is a long way from his best, his positioning at free kicks has at times been questionable, as is his decision making, and so is not exactly designed to instil confidence into our defence.

Ancelotti - plain daft or the perfect motivator ?
It's as plain as the nose on my face that we desperately need to sign at least two or three players, especially when there is a strong possibility that the transfer ban will be enforced,. However, when Ancelotti states we won't be signing anyone, my hope is that he's being true to form.. Remember this? That was last season, in February of this year. Look around, you'll find even more recent denials.

- Our midfield
The other player we have missed is Frank Lampard. How so? Because thus far this would appear to be Frank Lampard's worst season since signing for the club, Apart from anything else, we are badly missing his goals from midfield. So why is this? Because it would seem that Ancelotti's biggest failing is that he is yet another manager who prefers to attempt to mould a squad of players to his preferred system of play rather than adopting the system best suited to the players at his disposal. Frank Lampard is one of the club's major assets. Under Ancelotti he has been shamefully misused.- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
This is where you're wrong. After such a prolonged layoff it will take time for a player to work his way up to full fitness. Some players, as with people in general, are naturally fast healers and will therefore return from injury sooner than others. However, generally speaking, the more serious the injury, the longer the layoff, the longer it will take to attain full match fitness. It is inarguable that Joe Cole is looking nowhere near his best. Whether he can return to peak form remains to be seen, but I do think you need to have a little more patience.- Your favourite Christmas songs...
Saint Etienne, I Was Born on Christmas Day: This particular clip features an introduction from the delightful Dani Behr:- Chelsea vs Everton (Prem) 12/12/09 1500 KO
Putting aside recent form, both ours and Everton's, this is very much a must-win fixture if we are to keep our place at the top of the Premiership. I can not see anything but another home win at Old Trafford. I would also expect both Man City and Tottenham to win their matches, at Bolton and against Wolves respectively. Everton have their own little crisis going on, surely giving us the perfect opportunity to emphatically put an end to the recent run of poor results. Nothing less than three points will suffice - there can be NO excuse.- Hilario or Turnbull
From the little I've seen of either player, Henrique Hilário Meireles Alves Sampaio would most definitely get my vote. Hilário does make mistakes, as does any keeper, but Turnbull just does not inspire confidence in any way, shaper or form.. Turnbull will be 25 in January - that's 10 years younger than Hilário. Goalkeepers can and do develop later than outfield players and I would very much like to be proven wrong, but I have seen nothing to suggest that Turnbull may ever become a candidate for the number one No. 1 shirt at Stamford Bridge. .- Old, is gold.
Whilst I do agree that the squad could do with an injection of fresh blood, I have to disagree that age was the deciding factor in yesterday's defeat. This was after all, pretty much the same team that demolished a much more youthful Arsenal side only a few short days ago, No, it was just an all-round bad day. Tactics were maybe not spot-on and we were let down by too many below sub-performances. We may have gotten away with it if there had only been one or two players not at their best, but yesterday, the majority of the team were very much below par. Add those bad performances to the breaks that didn't go our way, including a nailed on penalty when John Terry was hauled over, neither of their goals should have stood - the first should have been chalked off for a handball and the second came from a foul that never was. And who would have believed that Frank Lampard would miss a penalty? There may well have been more than an element of complacency. Otherwise it's difficult to explain how so many world-class players can simultaneously fail to perform to any kind of acceptable level, but I do not believe age to have been a decisive factor.- Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
I made it as far as 1:18. Do I get a medal?!- RICHARD TODD
Richard Todd didn't only play war heroes, he was himself a real war hero. In the Longest Day (1962), which is about the D-Day invasion, Richard Todd plays his own Commanding Officer, and alongside him was another actor, whose name I sadly do not know, playing the part of himself. R.I.P. Richard Todd, a true gentleman and hero, both on and off the silver screen.- Chance of getting Pato?
