Lampard Out of Euro 2012
Hamstring strains, sprains that result from over-extension and trips and falls I can understand but 'torn muscles' are invaribly intentional over-exertion injuries.'Thigh anxiety' - cos here comes Henderson. Would much have preferred Adam Johnson.

Lampard Out of Euro 2012
The question I'm asking myself is why he's getting so badly injured so close to a major tournament (and Barry!)? What are Roy Hodgson's training methods? Torn muscles are at best avoidable at this stage of the prep. (including friendlies in regard to Gary Barry.) I agree with a previous poster, torn quads and hamstrings can take months to mend.

Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Evidence? What do you mean by 'evidence'? So it's all a fabrication is it? Really? It's not just this forum that has alluded top his questionable attitude on various levels.Firstly, 'No-one at Lille will mention his attitude....of course they won't; he's their number 1 asset and they'll want top dollar for him. Secondly, he has been known to to do an 'Adel Taarbet' and exit the stadium after being subbed and not just the once. His cryptic self-important tweets belie an ego the size of Belgium. The 'I will be playing in blue or maybe red next season BS!! Will I be in London or living in Manchester?? He will be a huge success wherever he ends up we know that.; but how many of the other 'elite players' have conducted their business in this way?? Show some class and respect for the clubs that are interested in you. He's basically saying I'll be the main man I will play exactly in 'this position' and regularly and build around me cos you're lucky to have me......cos I will bring you the UCL trophy......oh, wait a minute............This is the best & toughest league in the world. He's been a big fish in a small pond thus far........

Eden Hazard at Chelsea
There's nothing more dangerous and unpalatable than a young footballer who believes his own hype. We have a class number 10 in Juan Mata - lets spend our cash elsewhere and leave him to the Mancs. Nothing would please me more if were to publicly pull out of this proposed deal and telling this little ego maniac the precise reasons why. Jog on Hazard, we don't need you.....

Valencia v Chelsea (CL) 28/09/11 KO 19:45 GMT
I hope someone someone sticks one on Kalou in the dressing room. Handling it on the line as the ball's goal bound I can understand - but from 12 yards out? I hope this demonstrates to AVB that this lad has to go....

Chelsea and Rangers
Boomshanka? Looooool. Check your bad self. I couldn't care less who younger Gers fans follow - they should be following Rangers FFS. I choose to opt out on certain elements you've eluded to there, does that make me less of a fan? My Mrs is Jewish - should I be supportin the Spuds? Any doubts about my previous 'generalisations' have gone. I feel vindicated now.

Chelsea and Rangers
I think we're maybe looking at that article from different perspectives. I understand your (and probably many other Chelsea fans) rationale for having the Gers as a second team. I grew up with sectarianism in Glasgow & it was part of my life, - it was and still is endemic and it is part of the fabric of the city. I have to disagree with you but that article is full of sectarian rhetoric - trust me I know, I could paraphrase but I can't be @rsed. As a teenager at Ibrox I was as bad as the rest. It wasn't until I removed myself from that environment and changed my mind set that I woke up to it all. Do I still have that insatiable hatred towards Celtic? No, not anymore. It just rekindled some uncomfortable memories for me that's all..........this is just a personal opinion grounded in experience. Football should be about football.

Chelsea and Rangers
Sorry but this article makes me feel very uncomfortable. It's peppered with sectarian nonsense that has no place in British football. I'm Glaswegian (Govan) - left in 87 to pursue a career in London (west). Rangers fan and regular supporter. Like me, anyone who who has been to an Old Firm match in Ibrox or Parkhead can testify to the palpable hatred, antagonism, and ensuing violence - even now. I never got that at the Bridge and I loved that......... It wasn't until I'd been away for a while and returned home that I realised what pathetic, pointless and parochial behaviour this truly was. I understand the history, affiliations and camaraderie but society has moved on hasn't it? There is no place for racism so there should equally be no place for sectarianism. Yes we have a 'relationship' with Rangers but what is it truly based on; and are we all comfortable with that? The general footballing populous in London couldn't give a monkeys' about the SPL and any of the teams in it - as I'm frequently informed. I'm glad the younger supporters don't 'appreciate' the history This is a great site. I love it - I don't usually contribute but I felt I had to. Sorry if I've upset anyone *ducks*

Sergio Aguero hints at summer move to Chelsea

Luka Modric
Sandro's injured at the Copa. Flew back and had knee surgery yesterday. May 'complicate' things further..........

Essien injured?
You can't have 2 ACL injuries to the same knee and expect to comer back as strong. If it is....and I hope it's not, his playing career (never-mind Chelsea career) may be in real jeopardy.Let's face it he's not been the same player since his last injury. Poor bloke. I hope the scans are positive. Looks like Josh will have to step up to the mark and Mikel will be hanging about for the foreseeable.

Juan Mata at Chelsea
22. Friend of Torres One full season at Valencia TOP TOP winger Off to the U21s in the Summer (keen!)despite owning a World Cup winners medal already. Chelsea should be busting their collective balls to bring this lad over.

Malouda OUT, Zhirkov IN?
What a lovely dilemma to have?? Zhirkov showed some real hunger tonight and he's fit and coming good at a time when we really need his inventiveness and vision.. I think Malouda's tired....... What really pleased me tonight was Carlo's ability to make the big calls that changed the form and pace of the game. Tactically he was faultless. What a night!! Inspiring

MOTM vs United
Luiz all day long. I thought everyone stood tall today. Feel very proud. OMG OMG OMG OMG....How good is LUIZ???? EH?? PS Ashley - get your gun there's a RAT - faced c*nt in our Shed.

Torres Leaving L'Pool
Yeah, I clocked that. First thing I thought was 'he's got the right hump'. If Torres is Chelsea bound they need another striker...who plays in the Prem.........and can be part of the deal. Sturridge is a complete no-no. It would be Anelka or Kalou. Now we know for sure which one's been offered.
-
MOTM vs Ipswich
Josh!!! He played very deep in a holding role, maybe to give him the chance to be on the ball more. Confident in his distribution and he got stuck in. He linked up well with Lamps. I thought Sturridge did well with A RIGHT FOOTED heel flick for his first and a beautiful left foot drive across the keeper and into the corner for the second. A good day, and very encouraging .......I thought Kalou stunk the place out though......just sayin........

We get the Fish n Chips, you get the scraps ...
Good thread! Yes, they have great individuals and more than likely will get some more before August is over. Can someone tell me though, who has the passion, commitment and drive in this team to push for that success? For the life of me I can't find any 'real leaders' in there that would die for their club. All I see is already established, imported (dare I say foreign) footballing stars. Granted we did splash the cash when Roman pitched up but we had a core of great team players that gave their all........and we still have em!
