Yeah, it's very hard to nominate a Man of the Match without having seen the full game. From the bits of radio commentary I heard, Anelka sounded very impressive. I might vote later if the highlights show a particular player to be a dominant force.

Just got a phone call from a friend who was at the game.

He told me McEachran was excellent in the holding role.

Too early to name MOM until I view the entire game.

Probably better waiting to see highlights before voting.

Ah, are these polls for people who have seen the matches? Now there was a turn up.

My Daughter heard the new JLS Record on the Radio today...she said it sounded to her like Anton was the best Dancer

I was at the game and for me it was McEachran - played a good competent game. My son (9) says Van Aanholt for his runs, effort and positioning...

Josh!!! He played very deep in a holding role, maybe to give him the chance to be on the ball more. Confident in his distribution and he got stuck in. He linked up well with Lamps. I thought Sturridge did well with A RIGHT FOOTED heel flick for his first and a beautiful left foot drive across the keeper and into the corner for the second.

A good day, and very encouraging .......I thought Kalou stunk the place out though......just sayin........

for me it was lamps...josh and sturridge played well, but lamps showed what we have been missing...funnily enough while he has been missing...he bossed midfield, managed to find space (unlike our other midfielders in the bad run) and constantly looked for the quick incisive pass...e.g for the first goal he intercepted and passed it in front of kalou to run onto in one movement and that gave Kalou space to run into, which meant when he passed it to anelka he also could run with menace at a couple of defenders rather than a wall of opposition shirts etc...

he was also still throwing himself into tackles late on and there were two trademark goals...

josh was impressive and sturridge took his goals well...just feel lamps was more influential.

Yeah I was at the game and I have to say a brilliant performance and my MOTM would of most definatley been Sturridge or lamps for the effort and just the way the found space and the goals, still can't get over sturridges second it was a perfect shot

After just watching the Highlights on ITV its about as hard to pick a MOM as it is listening to the Radio.

On what I saw, Both Sturridge Gaols were very well taken, as were Franks, Anelka looked good in the couple of minutes they showed and Kalou though again slated in some posts here made sure of the Goal he nicked from Anelka and set one up very nicely to make up for it.

Hardly saw Mceachran but hes impressed me every time I've seen him.

Would like to have seen how PVA played before he went off but I doubt defensively he had much to do.

on those highlights Sturridge Anelka and Lampard could all have got my vote so I'll reserve judgement as a couple of minutes just doesn't tell the story.

Great result though and I hope they all gained some confidence from it.

I managed to miss the ITV highlights (don't ask!) but I've just watched around 30 minutes worth of extended highlights on Chelsea TV. Torn between Josh and Frank, but eventually decided on Frank - two excellent performances but Frank's goals were the icing on the cake.

Amazing what seeing the whole game will do. based on the highlights, I'd almost certainly have picked Anelka. Not going to vote on a game I don't see though

Saw those same highlights and as you say, from that, Josh & Lamps looked like the two stand-outs. But I've gone for Sturridge!!

Was great to see Josh playing alongside Lamps and learning from him. Just as Bruma will benefit playing alongside JT I think it's exactly the same for Josh with Lamps. He's already very composed and comfortable on the ball, but playing with Lamps he will hopefully learn how to really impose himself on a game.

Missed the match and Chelsea TV only had 30 mins highlights (no idea why!). From what I saw, I went for Frank. Still reckon he'll get to 20 goals for the season even after the late start.

I still haven't found time to watch the entire game, but to be fair to myself, besides the 30 minutes worth of highlights, I also had the benefit of Kerry Dixon's full match commentary, and if Kerry Dixon says that Frank and Josh were outstanding, who am I to argue!

I remember one comment of Kerry's in particular, in which he described Josh's performance as "imposing". I didn't get the exact quote, but this is roughly what he said:

Josh McEachran has had an imposing game today, always wanting the ball, doing well in the holding role and futher forward, probably his best game in a Chelsea shirt
