Even if the stats say Kepa is the best in the World, I wouldn’t want to keep him, I believe my eyes over the course of 40+ games, and I’m not the only one, the majority on here see it, he’s a limited keeper, its not what he saves that matters, its what he lets go through him.

Are we going to replace Mendy or what ? If Kepa has no serious competition for his place, I think we will suffer again this season. Why aren’t we going for Trubin to replace Mendy ? Young, promising talent, a 2nd Ukrainian in the squad would be good for Mudryk. Inter seem to be after him, would be good to piss them off and hijack the deal.

Colwill should share his place with Silva 50-50, thats 20 odd games each, i think they should share the captaincy as well, Silva cap, Levi vice cap. Badi and Fofana share the other berth. Trev is the utility defender/DM. I can easily imagine Silva and Fofana will be unavailable for parts of the season, that would leave us Levi, Badi and Trev.

Pochettino made the mistake of sticking with Lloris at Spuds, it cost him silverware, he had the highest scoring partnership in prem history, but only Lloris in goal.

Despite our crap league finish, we did have the 7th best defence in the league, Brighton were = 10th best defence, conceding only 4 goals less than 17th placed relegation battling Everton. Levi only started in 13 of Brightons games, he will get that many games minimum with us. He will also receive a substantial salary compared to what Brighton would be able to afford. So it’s not a hard choice (if a choice at all), play in a better defence, under a more experienced manager, playing more games, for more money.

Probably be a good idea to miss out on watching pre-season anyway, fingers crossed for the first league game that we have a team that is worth watching by then.

A bit of experience is needed, but it’s not paramount, not as important as getting the right players for the right positions in the first place, we didn’t have a plethora of experience in 04/05, we had the right players for the right positions and it worked out.

And failure to confidently command his six yard box.

I have no problem with any players moving on, apart from JT who else has committed their entire career to us in the modern era ? Good luck to Mason and all that move on. This is the beginning of a new dawn.
