Well opinions are bound to differ, but all I remember from him in his last season or so was a lot of mis-placed passes, jogging around and not a lot else. He pops up with the odd headed goal now and again, but i doubt he would have made any difference to us really.

Hardly convincing but it will do, 3 points was the important thing.- Chelsea v Wigan (PL) 09/04/11 KO 15:00 GMT
1631: Fernando Torres is still waiting for his first Chelsea goal. He shouldn't be, because he was clean through and in acres of space... but his control let him down badly from Petr Cech's huge clearance. Just what is wrong with that boy?- Chelsea v Wigan (PL) 09/04/11 KO 15:00 GMT
Sopcast doesn't work on this computer. And anyway, my internet conneciton can't handle anyhting above about 100KBps and they are usually about 500-800- Chelsea v Wigan (PL) 09/04/11 KO 15:00 GMT
Given up with the streams, maybe if i listen on radio Torres will score.- Chelsea v Wigan (PL) 09/04/11 KO 15:00 GMT
Started well, but been disappointing for the last 20-odd minutes. I know Anelka is our top scorer and has quite a few assists, but he just seems to be invisible in a lot of matches to me. And on the occasions he gets the ball he just slows everything down. Everyone is slowing things down today though, there is no urgency. Malouda has run at people a couple of times, which is good to see, but then the crossing has been sh*t again. Ferreira is the only decent crosser of a ball we have, which is worrying. Second half I'd take Anelka off, bring Torres on and stick him up front with Drogba. Might as well move Malouda to behind the front 2 and play a 4-3-1-2, because he always drifts in to the middle anyway.- Todays match Vs Wigan

Well we'll have to, because it's the Champions league or nothing this season, so they bloody well better put up a decent fight at Old Trafford. If we try hard and lose, fine. But if we put in mediocre performance with no real drive or determination then I imagine a hell of a lot of people are going to be thoroughly pissed off.- Ballack
He was a libability more often than not for us though and I remember a lot of complaining about him towards the end with his poor passing and slowing things down, so I don't think he would have made much difference really. As much as I disliked him, Deco would probably have been a better choice to keep since he was more creative. Hell, even Belletti could have done a job.- Chelsea v Man United (CL) 06/04/11 KO 19:45 BST
Last night exposed the major gulf in class between us and Man Utd unfortunately. It was painful to watch them get the ball and work it very quickly into space and run at us, compared to us getting the ball, jogging, turning back, passing it and passing it and trying to pass our way through their whole defence and just getting crowded out. We did actually get to the byline a few times in the game which makes a change, but the crossing was abysmal all night long. Only positives were Terry and Torres who both did well, Torres unlucky not to score twice, he's looking sharper and hopefully that goal will come soon. Why he bothered bringing Malouda on I don't know, he just did his usual of drifting into central midfield to try and shoot, leaving our left side more exposed. I would rather have brought on Kalou then Malouda. Or just brought Anelka on for Zhirkov and gone with Anelka behind Drogba and Torres. On the slightly positive side, we are perfectly capable of winning at Old Trafford, we have a great record there, but if we are going to do that then the players and the coaching staff are going to have to have a serious examination of just how outclassed we were last night and do something to try and rectify it. In all honesty, I cannot see us getting through. We'll be lucky to get a draw at Old Trafford really, their crowd will be up for it and their players will want to prove a point that they are the dominate team in the country again. Just hope that f**ker Rooney doesn't score again. He used to never score again us, now he always seems to.- Robben
I'd take him back at the moment, even if he is injury prone. Our lack of decent wingers is appaling.- Following our young guys!

Well let's face it, if he's not even showing enough to get into Fulham's team he's not likely to get into ours any time soon. If he was playing well in training and when he does get the odd appearance, then i'm sure he would be picked more. But he clearly isn't.- Stoke City v Chelsea (PL) 02/04/11 KO 15:00 BST
I suppose when you look at the results Stoke have had at home this season it's not an awful result, they've done very well at home and it's a tough place to go. Still disappointing though, I would have liked to see Torres instead of Anelka, he is starting to show quicker feet and a better touch than he was a few months ago, which is good. Whereas Anelka was pretty much invisible the whole time he was on. Also Kalou should have replaced Malouda, not Ramires.- Stoke City v Chelsea (PL) 02/04/11 KO 15:00 BST
Well realistically we were out of the title race anyway, but today just confirms it. Got to focus on the CL now and try and end the season with something to show for it.- Stoke City v Chelsea (PL) 02/04/11 KO 15:00 BST
Well that's a given for all of our matches.- Stoke City v Chelsea (PL) 02/04/11 KO 15:00 BST
Anelka's done pretty much nothing so far, I'd take him off for Torres at half time.- Stoke City v Chelsea (PL) 02/04/11 KO 15:00 BST

This Man Utd team has got to be one of the worst to win the league in a long time, if we or Arsenal showed a bit more consistency we would surely have won it.- Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
What a surprise.- Team you despise most?
1. Liverpool 2. Arsenal 3. Spurs 4. Man Utd The rest of them ,eg: West Ham, Leeds I can't really bring myself to hate because we usually beat them so there's no point really.- Stoke City v Chelsea (PL) 02/04/11 KO 15:00 BST
