Chelsea vs West Ham (PL) 26/12/14 KO: 12:45 GMT
Expecting a really tough game. Credit to them, West Ham are in terrific form this year and playing some attractive football too. He didn't put a foot wrong at Stoke but I'd leave out Dave for Felipe Luis. We need to start using the squad given the Christmas fixture pileup, and with this in mind, I'd bring in Schurrle and Oscar too for Willian and Mikel. I also don't think we'll need the added defensive solidity from Mikel; We're at home and West Ham don't really worry me on the counter attack. Granted Mikel's physique would be helpful defending corners but we've got enough size without him to deal with West Ham's aerial threat. I also presume Hazard will be fit; if not, Schürrle comes in on the left. --------------Courtois-------------- ---Ivan---Cahill---Terry---Luis-- ---------Matic------Fabregas---- Schürrle----Oscar----Hazard--- ---------------Costa---------------- For various reasons, this will also be the first Boxing Day game I have gone to for about 6/7 years I believe. Really looking forward to it. 3-1 Chelsea.

As a Finn I'm sad to see Sami leave Brighton. After Leverkusen and this latest experience he needs to bounce back at his next job in a big way otherwise he may never reach the Champions League again as a manager.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
I don't think there's anything in it either but just wanted reassurances that Torres cannot come back if we don't want him to. I honestly do no want him anywhere near this club ever again. Not even at Cobham for any pre-season stuff. JUST STAY THE F*** AWAY FERNANDO.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
So Milan unsurprisingly want to end Torres' loan agreement early. Am I right in thinking that they are stuck with him for 2 years regardless? I cannot fathom why we would ever agree to bring him back so surely they just have to put up with him for the next season and a half?

Stoke vs Chelsea (PL) 22/12/14 KO: 20:00 GMT
So true. There really isn't such thing as an easy away game for us IMO. Every last team is always well up for it when we show up. Looking forward to this quite a lot. I always relish the physical challenge that lies ahead when we go up to Stoke, unlike certain clubs. Costa vs Shawcross will be a key battle and could have a big impact on the final outcome. Hope it's not too windy up there as that will help them more so than us. I expect a tight game but I think we'll be ok just about, 2-1. ------------ Courtois (if fit?) ------------ --Iva-----Cahill-------Terry------Dave-- -----------Matic-------Fabregas--------- ---Schürrle----Oscar-----Hazard------- ------------------Costa-------------------- I'd roll the dice with Schürrle in this one. Whilst his general play hasn't impressed me much at all he has scored in his last two assists, he also scored two crackers up there last year. Hopefully his confidence is on the up now and he can be threat on the counter attack.

Felipe Luis' free-kick was brilliant.

Funny what happens when Pellegrini actually plays two defensive mids and one up front in Europe like any other competent manager. As Souness said though it's almost like Pellegrini stumbled into that formation given that Aguero and Yaya Toure were both out. Very intrigued to see what he does in the knockout rounds when he has a fully fit squad, I feel as though he's going to have to sacrifice one of the big names in order for a more workmanlike player like Milner/Fernando. Similar situation to the one that Fergie had when he would play Rooney from the left because he knew Ronaldo wouldn't track back.

Just another one of those special European nights at Anfield.

Neil Barnett gone?
Met him in Madrid last year. I was pretty drunk but he came across as quite condescending and arrogant. Bit of a know it all, but in fairness his knowledge of Chelsea's history is excellent. I agree that he also shouldn't take the piss out of the away fans pre-game. In all honesty I think he's usually pretty decent when it comes to reading out the teams.

How old were you the last time Spurs won at the Bridge?
Born in 1989 (who would have guessed from my screenname?) so have no recollection of it!

Who is Our Most Irreplaceable Player?
This^. Suprised that Fabregas hasn't got more of a mention. If he gets injured then I don't see a direct replacement in the squad. Although JT and Matic are of enormous importance I still think we'd get by with Cahill/Ivanovic/Zouma and either Mikel or Ramires in the holding role.

Even his glasses are from the Arsenal Megastore I swear.

Ross Barkley
Naismith? Really? Good player but he's not good enough for us IMO. I'd really like us to get Barkley. He'd start off on the bench but could really add some creativity to our 'pivot' and be a good alternative to Fabregas when injured/suspended. However, I have a feeling he'll end up at Man City this summer, when I predict that they will sell Yaya Toure.

Thinking about the squad, I'd certainly take David Silva, Dzeko and Fernando too. In terms of starting XI's though I don't think any of there players would do better than the players we already have operating in their current roles.

Problem is that because they are in the Europa Sp*rs play on Sundays a lot and therefore seem to be on TV quite a lot.

Modern football- things that get up your nose
How about the 'Yoof' that turn up with all their flash gear singing utterly obscene sh*te like "I'd rather be a P*** than a Y*d". And I'm only 25 myself...

So Far, So Good.
Exactly. They are fomenting a very particular agenda at the moment in order to then hammer us if/when we do lose.

One's just been started called Chelsea Fancast or something. But they seem to interview people before the game rather than after when the emotions take over and people make total tits out of themselves, as shown above.
