  1. Excellent, sounds just what I need!
  2. This seems a good place to ask my question! My mobile phone is a chunky little Nokia which is now bordering on being antique, but I love it. Thing is, I'm using T-Mobile pay as you go, and it's costing me a fortune now that I don't have a landline. The thing is, being an old git, I know next to nothing about mobile phones and just wanted a bit of advice. I want a contract where I pay monthly with possibly unlimited calls, but there are so many phones on the market I've no idea what to choose. I'll be going down to a phone shop in town later this week, but don't want to get ripped off or sold a pup, so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, you lovely people
  3. Welcome, Bradley. I did see a couple of colour photos of this game not too long ago, I think Shrewsbury were playing in all red? I'll have a scout around and see if I can find them. My late uncle went to this game and gave me the programme, I must have been eight years old.
  4. Hutch has supported the Blues for well over 40 years, and has far more knowledge of the club and it's history than most on here.
  5. Where did I leave my keyboard?
  6. Yeah, international football was great back in the old days... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtC1pByt-os
  7. Alan Hudson was a great midfielder in his time, and should have been an England regular. I idolised him when I was a youngster, he was a major part of the Chelsea team of the late 60's and early 70's. Dave Sexton got rid of him because he couldn't handle him - Hudson was one of the many Chelsea players who liked a drink back then and was turfed out along with Peter Osgood, amongst others. Hudson went to Stoke City where, naturally, he was a great success, then spent a couple of years at Arsenal before going to the States to play for Seattle Sounders. However, I don't have much, if any, sympathy for Hudson. He constantly whines that Chelsea should help him out, but so far as I know Stoke and Arsenal have never helped him either. He slags Chelsea off to whoever wants to listen, then expects the club to bail him out - maybe if he showed a bit more respect for the club they might be inclined to help out.
  8. I'm getting an ad for the Alzheimer's Society - how did they know??? OK, who told them...?
  9. Here you go, Maks - as YB said, more to come!
  10. Davie Cooper only 10th??? Much as I loved Gascoigne and Goram while they were at Ibrox, no way were they better than Cooper! Still, it's one of those subjects that nobody's going to totally agree on, and it's a great article. I'd have liked to have seen Derek Johnstone and Willie Johnston placed higher, but then I never saw some of the players from earlier years so I can't really compare. Nice one, erskblue!
  11. My favourite Lucky Dube albums came out consecutively... 1987 - Slave 1988 - Together As One 1989 - Prisoner 1990 - Captured Live 1991 - House Of Exile 1993 - Victims I'd strongly recommend the 'Captured Live' album, it's absolutely brilliant! The best of the studio albums is probably 'Prisoner', but they are all well worth a listen.
  12. Some great pics on that link, just wish I could download some of them!
  13. One of my favourite reggae artists ever, Lucky Dube, South Africa's finest! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAtnwI7mP80 I truly regret never getting to see this man live in concert. He always stated that his main musical influence was Peter Tosh, and sadly he died in the same way...
  14. Only caught a bit of the Italy v Mexico game, but saw the Pirlo free-kick goal. Is it just me, or did the Mexican keeper drop his hands at the last minute? Seemed to me he could have got to the ball, but he seemed to hold back. sh*te keeper or f*ckin' cheat?
  15. First thing that occurred to me too, they realise they've f*cked up royally by giving Pardew a long contract and want to drive the twat out. Can't say I blame them, Pardew is a prize prick.
  16. I always hated the red/white/green kit, couldn't stand seeing Chelsea playing in red. For me, our best away kit ever was the old yellow/blue/yellow from the late 60's/early 70's, closely followed by the Embassy Regal kit, which sadly only lasted one season. First time I saw Chelsea in the red kit was at Coventry in 72 or 73 - we won 3-1, but it really felt weird watching the boys playing in red. Still, we took the Coventry end as usual, which took some of the pain away
