TJB reacted to C3blue in Robert Sanchez joins ChelseaSign Martinez, we can’t expect the front 3 to outscore the opposition all the time.
Sanchez makes the entire team shaky.
Why are we persisting with Brightons reserve keeper?
It’s been years now, I don’t know how good Penders is but he’s 21. When is he going to be ‘ready’. If he ain’t better than Sanchez right now then what are we doing?
We signed Cech when he was 22, straight in. Their keepers, it’s not like they have to get used to the pace of the game. Sign Martinez and ease Penders in but Sanchez is a liability. I struggle with all the player upheaval to see why this guy keeps his place.

TJB reacted to Gordon Bennett in Robert Sanchez joins ChelseaPenny needs to drop mate. He's always been sh*t - you can't keep blaming the manager, especially when it comes to goal keeper.
He was a terrible signing, nowhere near good enough and we hugely overpaid.
I've no idea which of our legion of Sporting Directors wants to keep this turd in the squad but Xabi needs to knock some heads together.

TJB reacted to dansubrosa in Fulham vs Chelsea (PL) Monday 24th August 20:00 GMTOh look, the c*nt is coming on. F*ck off Enzo.

TJB reacted to CFCholland in Fulham vs Chelsea (PL) Monday 24th August 20:00 GMTAlso the Reece James in midfield experiment has got to stop imo.
-
TJB reacted to bluelightening in 26/27 Season ExpectationsI have zero expectations, none. This side is Jekyll and Hyde, so shake that off, stop being bottlers and winning games when we go in front; and to ditch the coma-inducing zombie football that we played under Maresca.
Wouldnt mind a push for top four/ secure top four and get the big midweek nights back to the bridge. I wouldn't mind the FA cup or League Cup. That would be progress imo

TJB reacted to dkw in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityEvery knowledgeable chelsea fan i know in the real world cant stand him and see him for the liability he is, his "clutch" goals dont cover the issues he creates for us.
On another forum 90% are the same, want him gone and cant stand him.
-
TJB reacted to loz in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityNot sure I agree that it will fire him up. He regularly disappears at the first sign of pressure and I don't see that chsnging because he gets abuse. I'm stil hopeful he will be gone before the window closes.

TJB reacted to Nibs in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityHas he gone yet? I've got some champers on ice...............................

TJB reacted to SydneyChelsea in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityYes, he finished behind the passing maestro that is Marc Guehi and just above Ezri 'Xaviesta' Konsa. You're right, he did do a lot of passing...against the mighty midfields of Algeria, Austria, Jordan, Cape Verde and Switzerland.
Goal aside he had a very mediocre performance against England, until the game was broken open. Stats mean nothing without the context of game state.
I am not surprised to see a player, who played 7 of his 8 games against teams defending deep, racking up the numbers on the possession stats.
As for the other remaining game, well, we know all about his performance in that one...

TJB reacted to PloKoon13 in Jordan HendersonThis cheered me up a bit:

TJB reacted to Scott Harris in From one extreme to the otherAll I see when it comes to support for these two players is that it will help the young players. Why will it help the young players? What do they have to learn from 36 year old Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson to refine their game take it to the next level? Welbeck spent his career as a complete failure at the top end of the league before finally making it as a semi decent midtable striker. Henderson has always been a phoney. The fake hardman act he had going at Liverpool. Some are saying he is coming to play cheerleader, well how does that help us? Henderson clapping like a seal on the side lines shouting "let's go lads"....yeah, that's really going to make a difference.
We had Thiago Silva around for 2 years with the young players, a much better player than Welbeck or Henderson could ever have dreamed, but what difference did that make? That didn't stop our defenders being so naive by getting caught out on every cross to the back post and falling asleep at crucial moments.
The whole "help the kids" line is just a lazy simple minded excuse. I'll tell you what would have helped these young players out, training alongside high quality players in their peak years. You will learn a lot more training alongside actual quality than you will from old man legs like Welbeck and Henderson and whatever words of wisdom people think they can pass on. If our young players were training amongst pro's that had been at the top level of the senior game for 10 years with plenty left to offer on the football pitch, it would have just naturally brought those young players up to their level, like how Terry learned from Desailly. They're not going to learn sh*t from a player that failed multiple times as a top end striker and a completely washed player like Henderson.

TJB reacted to The Rising Sun in From one extreme to the otherWellbeck and Henderson aren't the sort of signings a top club makes.
I would be laughing my head off had Arsenal or Tottenham signed those two. The fact that Wellbeck is better than what we have up front right now ( apart from Pedro) is indicative of our season after season of shambolic transfers.
-
TJB reacted to dkw in From one extreme to the otherNo issue with signing Welbeck, hes better than Jackson and Pedro and is a good experienced professional.
Henderson on the other hand, cant stand him, hypocritical little git.
-
Met with City behind our back twice, despite signing a contract extension with us. If he hadn't done anything wrong, he and City wouldn't be paying us any compensation.
He's a hairless freak with no spine.
-
I'm so glad this has all come out officially, the Maresca fan boys can stop believing he was some sort of martyr that left millions on the table because he didn't like the owners. In reality, he was plotting to slither his way over to Man City. Good riddance, I look forward to Man City's collapse when his dire football has them moving down the table and the fans turn on him within a couple of years.
-
TJB reacted to All Barco no bite in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityI think Enzo Fernandez leaving will be for the benefit of the team. We try to shoehorn so much of our football through him at the detriment of everyone else.
If a proper number 10 was given his box crashing freedom they'd get much better numbers or if we want a proper 8 we need someone much more well rounded.
Hopefully we throw the money at Rogers.

TJB reacted to PloKoon13 in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityWell those are two words you usually don't see in the same sentence. Jorginho had no trace of athleticism, not a single strand within his DNA.
-
TJB reacted to dkw in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CitySo if its measurable you should be able to show us the prof, right? Jorginho was not a great passer in the slightest, the vast majority of his passes were 5 yard wall balls, totally risk free possession for the sake of it with absolutely zero progression.
-
TJB reacted to SydneyChelsea in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityJorginho was an awful passer, barely an assist to his name for a 'playmaker'
-
TJB reacted to KonaKai Blue in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CitySometimes just forget what they won and actually compare the player. Cesc best season for us was light years above Jorgino. There's even an argument for Mikel being better than Jorgino.
-
Absolutely brillant intelligent play from Delap in the build up to the goal. Ran away from the ball twice ensuring he wouldn't bollox it up again.
-
TJB reacted to El regreso in Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!Should have a summer off completely
-
No way should he be playing at the World Cup. Us sticking with players who are out of form is part of the reason why we are perpetual losers as a nation. Gibbs white currently miles ahead of Palmer on form.
-
TJB reacted to Caps_Lock_King in Brighton and Hove Albion vs Chelsea (PL) Tuesday 21st April 20:00 GMTHandball? It was outside the box anyway
-
Genuine question, you'd take every single manager in the premiership over Rosenior right?
