2012/2013 Pre-season
Defense is shakey at best... Josh looked quite good in the beginning but did give that ball away... That takeaway and through ball was very Modric-esque on that first goal. They look a bit tired and not match fit, which is understandable. Marin for me looks quite good. Romelu has shown some Drogba traits too. Hazard looks good as well. Feck, I am on a new phone and it's fecking killing me. Took me way to long to type this. New subs now, we''ll see how they do... anyone running the Samsung Galaxy S3 and know some tips, please IM me. Feel like I aged 20 years on this thing...

The Oscar thread
Unathletic? He is one of the top 3 young Brazilian prospects in their country... I cannot get my head around what it is you are saying... Surely he is skilled and athletic. Perhaps you need to watch another YouTube clip?

Yeah, one could catch the train to Kamakura from Tokyo and see a beautiful little town on the coast that is littered with shrines and temples. Obviously better in the summer season but I've been there in all seasons and in the winter its still very enjoyable. The train from Tokyo goes straight through Yokohama so on the way back, you could grab a locker and stow away your souvenirs and go see the match. Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Roppongi are must sees at night and one can do all three in a single night. I also recommend Omotesando and Harajuku which is also near by. Shinbashi is my favorite for drinks and is near Ginza but really Izakayas are everywhere. If you choose to stay down there and like sushi, get up at 4am and head to Tsukiji Fish market. Crazy fish market where the sushi is still warm. We stayed down there for about 80USD a night but it was offpeak in May and on a Monday. Of course this was May 2010 and we were getting about 94 Yen to the dollar. When we were there again last Winter, we were only getting about 77 Yen and with the EU and US is dire straits, one could expect more money printing so that could probably cause the Yen to gain even more strength.

Big news everybody, we now have a global Energy Partner
Until Putin throws a fit and pulls the puppet strings to freeze Europe out of natural gas this winter.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Or they will spend all of the kitty they get from Modric moving on. Be a good signing for them but who will be the midfield who ties it together? They're better off with Moutino than Hulk. To me this photo looks ridiculously staged and I wouldn't put it past AVB to pull this kind of a stunt to draw attention. Did Levy really agree to pay Ade 100k per week? To make this post legitimate, I agree with the "We don't need Hulk anymore if we bring in Oscar" For almost the money Porto is demanding, we could sign Oscar and go out and grab Keisuke Honda. Honda could play all three top positions in a 4-3-3 and/or the 4-3-2-1 and is a great talent. Could probably pay 20m to land him.

Do we have any figures? Gazprom is one of the largest oil/nat gas players on the planet. Stock was soaring in '08 on the insane energy/commodity prices before the shoe fell on Lehman.

Random Rumours
I wouldn't give Spurs anything apart from a few beatings on the pitch next year...

Chelsea after Willian? Again...
The 5.25 Floppy! Use to have those for the Commadore 64...

Chelsea after Willian? Again...
Haha! Not sure if you are referring to the Nintendo of the mid to late 80s or perhaps a newer version but that photo of that handheld sure has me reminiscing of old times! Remember those Head to Head" games? I had the Baseball and American Football. Following that red dot kept me entertained for hours! Do they even make 9 volt batteries anymore? Ah, kids today truly don't know what it was like pre internet and before CD-ROM and now Blue Ray games at home! There was once a time where if you wanted to play Dragon's Lair and/or Space Ace, you had to leave your home and socialize in the arcade! And when that wasn't feasible, it was DnD in the basement at home with Dr Who reruns on in the background! Apologies for getting a bit nostalgic... I. Am sure some of you lot could relate!

AVB - Any news on him?
Sorry, but who fecking cares about this guy now? We all knew last summer when he was signed it was going to simply go one of two ways... Unfortunatley, it didn't work out! Just like Scolari! Move on already! If AVB feels to be a big mouth in the media (which we all know he is) so be it! So tired of hearing about this guy! We spent all season fighting over whether he should go or stay and I for one wanted to give him a chance. But he failed, plain and simple. He can mouth off about how it was his team that won trophies and how Roman didn't give him time, blah, blah, fecking blah! Last I remember was his team was in disarray and it was Robbie that started treating the squad like human beings and won us our trophies, with his style! AVB claiming to have a part in those is like Jose claiming it. Jog on AVB, keep yapping to the media... For me, its clear he hasn't learned a thing. Best of luck and hope you do well, now shut up and manage your new club and stop thinking of your old one. You have nobody but yourself to blame!

Yossi Benayoun
Go on, list away! Better get out the baby spoon though...

Yossi Benayoun
...and the likes of your kind said the same thing about Borini and now look. Probably score a few goals against us as well...

Chelsea after Willian? Again...
Will he play on the right? Does this mean Hulk is off the table now? And what about Piazon? Adding Willian is going to put him down another notch, especially if the talk on Oscar today is true. Not sure Willian is needed here with our recent signings. Hopefully, RDM is going to start rotating some of the youth in the squad. Piazon and Feruz are our future and by the time they are ready Hazard, Marin, and Mata will be hitting their strides at the ages of 27-29. If we have Oscar too, he will be in that same age group. If Piazon and Feruz, Josh and KDB all come to fruition, plus what we have in young players now, we are looking quite solid. Still, getting back to Willian, where does he fit in? Seems to be a wasteful signing and I use that term delicately. Still have Kakuta out there too. Feels like we are signing everyone now, similar to a few years back.

2012 FIFA Club World Cup
My wife grew up there and we have enough miles for for us to fly from the States but it is highly doubtful we will go. We just spent 4 weeks there last winter and don't plan on going back until next summer at thee earliest. We were there last December when they were playing and I must say its quite the draw. Should be a fun time! The Japanese know how to throw on a party and they sure drink copious amounts of beer. We go often and Japan is truly a fantastic place. If you are looking to do touristy things (highly recommend it) and need some insight, just ask!

Kagawa is a poor mans Hazard
Honda is a fine talent and one I've been hoping we would go out and sign for the past two years. He can play in a few different ways and styles but I think with who we've signed the past year (Mata, Hazard, Marin) I think the ship has sailed on us ever making an effort in going after him. I guess he could play instead of Torres (and who knows we may have to grab him or somebody like him in January if Torres disappears)... Just don't see it happening because we were desperate for a player with his qualities and we didn't go for him then, doubtful we will do it now. Perhaps its the injuries that has plagued him a bit and that's why we don't rate him? Then again, playing in Russia in the winter could have something to do with his injuries. Don't most clubs play on artificial turf? A bit shocked he has not signed with anyone else tbh. Spurs could certainly use him however that would destroy my liking of the man. I know the Scousers were looking at him last year as well. He would be a good addition to a lot of clubs. It's too bad nobody rates Asian players more. There are some out there with fine qualities, like Kagawa... Sorry for regurgitating a little of what Spiller said. I'm chiming in on my phone and didn't see his last post...

Kagawa is a poor mans Hazard
Read close to a thousand people greeted him at the airport yesterday. Drogba is going to rule the Chinese Sportsworld the next two and a half years. With more people surfing the internet there than the EU has actual people, it will be insane.

Kagawa is a poor mans Hazard
Son, know when to quit... First its this ridiculous thread, then the song that has no rhyme, now its Kagawa is rubbish! Here is a nickel, buy a clue. Wait, give me that nickel back. It's for the time I wasted reading this...

Borini to Liverpool
Pardon the ignorance but doesn't Suarez play on the left? I think Borini is coming in to possibly replace Carroll? Heard rumors (no idea on credibility) that he may be sent on loan... A few Spud supporters on soccernet were hoping they can pick him up on loan. Than again, they were shooting off about how they should only pay 15m for Moutino, and 7m for Sturridge. Them Spuds are full on delusion, thinking they are gonna have levy nick these guys for nothing. Pathetic!

Malouda > Santos
Spot on... Money isn't an issue... And didn't we get Piazon when we shipped Deco to Brazil? Be nice to get first crack at some others in the future...

The Oscar thread
He shouldn't he going anywhere... I couldn't stomach the though of seeing him in another Club's kit... Regardless where it may be... Difficult enough having to watch Drogba in Shanghai, which I am sure will get plenty of highlights this year. Honestly, the way he played in the end and even at half that speed, it'll take the entire back four just to knock him off pace. Anelka and Drogba are going to light it up like Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen would on a playground!

The Oscar thread
I know it is still fresh in my head and obviously know the beautiful play Super Frank has bestowed upon all of us since coming to Chelsea but for me... When I think of Lampard, that pass to Ramires will always be the first thing that comes to mind. Perhaps the most crucial goal in this era... We were done for! Ten men and our Captain out. At the Nou Camp, first half closing down... Lampard goes to get the ball but before he even does he has his head up, looking... Drops his head down, gets quick possession and in an instant looks up and simultaneously puts a ball beautifully in place for a streaking Ramires who compliments Super Frank's play with his own beauty and scores the goal... We go on to shut down Barca and eventually Bayern, in Munich mind you to be where we are today! Without that play, there is no FA Final, No CL Final and no chance for Drogba legend in his own right to walk off into the sunset with us beckoning his name. Oh, and then of course there is the matter of this kid Hazard signing for us! Sorry, but that Lampard play will resonate through this club for ages! Xavi, Pirlo, Maradonna, and even Pele would be proud to do that... But, you're right, he lacks technique...
