I think Hazard you can say is easily comparable to Robben and Duff, if not better. Hazard didn't have the same players around him as they did and he pretty much carried us to a league title under Mourinho post January.

First and foremost, I think we've been spoilt as fans over the past 15 years and would never take anything away from that. However, I think this must be the softest group of players I have ever seen under the Abramovich tenure. Our defence whilst decent on the ball, doesn't seem to have any aggression about it and are dominated so easily. Brana, JT, Ricky, Ash and even Luiz would never let an opponent dominate them like this bunch do. Our midfield (whilst Kanté is excellent) lacks any sort of guile or aggression, we've been bullied by Spurs on more than one occassion over the past couple of years. When the likes of Arsenal are even bullying you out of matches, that's when you've got a problem. Fabregas is slower and less physical than a tortoise and Bakayoko looks like bambi on ice. Do people think the likes of Essien, Ballack & Frank would let Dele Alli get away with his sh*te yesterday? He'd have been booted into the Shed End, no questions asked. Our wingers are probably the only thing that's remained consistent throughout the years. Hazard & Willian whilst aren't great goalscorers like Robben & Duff, but without a doubt have the quality to match. Then we have Alvaro Morata & Olivier Giroud. I rate them both but one spends far too much on the floor and the other gives the ball away too easily. Whilst Diego did give the ball away a fair bit, he made up for it harrassing opponents and making defences work hard for every ball they kicked. Of course, we can't forget about Didier who was an absolute monster. I remember Carragher saying whenever he used to play against him, he used to help him up off of the floor and be friendly to him because when he starts to get annoyed, he's unplayable. Now, I'm not saying you can't have a team full of nimble players because Man City aren't exactly stocked with physically imposing players and they've probably assembled the best Premier League team of all time. However, when you play such an aggressive style of play as Conte does but have such a lack of tenacity in midfield, it will never work. Chelsea have always been at their best with a physically imposing team. This is why we dominated Barcelona for years because they couldn't deal with how distruptive we were, another reason we dominated Arsenal for so long. I almost feel like we've turned into Arsenal. Thoughts?

When was the last time Real Madrid bought someone for their first team's attack who was over the age of 27? Benzema, Cristiano, James, Isco, Higuain, Bale, Di Maria & Kaka have all been signed as attackers but not one of them were over the age of 25. I think Eden's time to go to Madrid was just after 14/15 when we won the league under Mourinho. He was imperious that season and easily the best player in the league and one of the best in the world. He was 25 then and that's when he should have made the leap to join them. I think he will stay due to lack of potential suitors.

Pedro, Moses, Bakayoko & Cahill should go in my opinion, whether or loan or permanently. Bailey or Mahrez, Ramsey or Vidal, a right wing back all need to come in.

You make a very good point about Hazard. I also get fed up of the slowing down play to then re take that player on that he's just gone by. It's infuriating. Willian definietly uses his pace better than Hazard does that's for sure.

We desperately need another central midfielder next season. Someone who will dominate from box to box. Cesc can take a bench role.

I'd like to apologise for giving Willian grief just after the Atletico game. I definietly overstepped the mark saying he's not good enough for us. He's been electrifying of late, he's outshone Hazard, Pedro, Giroud & Morata and along with Kanté has been our best player.

Agree 100% with point one. Point two, I don't agree with. On their day, Hazard is the better player. He's virtually unstoppable when he's in form. Point three, I do think he's world class but I don't think he's in the upper echelon. You can be world class but also be overrated at the same time.

Tonight shows exactly why the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona etc will stay away from the likes of Eden. At his best, he's in the top 3 players in the world but his best doesn't come round often enough. He's 27 now and will be entering his prime yet still turns in similar performances as he did when he first joined. Will be over the moon if he stays as he's far and away our best player but this is inveitably why I think we'll keep him, he hasn't got the killer instinct that Madrid etc require.

We have to upgrade our midfield in the summer. Send Baka out on loan and get someone with a bit of experience who can bomb forward. Vidal is leaving Bayern so he may be the best option but I see him going United or China.
