Even Kante looks poor at times next to Cesc in the pivot, it just simply doesn't work with him in there. Not everyone has N'golo's tenacity.

We need to sign someone to help Hazard. It's ridiculous that over the last 4/5 years, we haven't signed someone close to his calibre in an attacking position. Shame that City are after Sanchez because he's the killer we need in an attacking position to take the brunt off Eden and help Alvaro with goalscoring.

I know all games are must win but this is definietly a must win. Can close the gap on Spurs and United before we play United next week. Also, Arsenal play City next week so it gives us a chance to move away from them slightly. No excuses. 0-3 Chelsea.

Cahill and Luiz cannot play in a two man defence. Only time they've been able to was to win us the CL, ironically. It's never worked apart from then. Alonso whilst he may be a bit of a cult hero for his heroics against Spurs, he's not the level we need at left wing back and it's exactly why Conte wanted Sandro. He would struggle in a 4 man defence due to his lack of pace, same with Moses who whilst he may be quick would definietly not have the positional sense to play right back. Our usual back five is poor on paper and it's showing since Azpilicueta has had his poor run of form. Rudiger has to start the next game. Also, Kante is just such a huge miss for us. Bakayoko struggles next to Cesc but I think most players would as it's double the workload. Our attack needs some freshness to it in the wing positions. Willian has been here 4 years now, Pedro is entering his 3rd season and Eden has been here for 6 seasons. A right winger is paramount next season, along with a LWB, a striker and even possibly a CB.

Cesc is an extremely talented footballer. His long career has clearly taken it's toll on his pace because at Arsenal he was reasonably quick (see goal vs Spurs) However, we can no longer play him in a midfield two. It quite simply, doesn't work. Games this season with him in a midfield two (PL): Burnley (H) 3-2 Loss Arsenal (H) 0-0 Draw Palace (A) 2-1 Loss That is evidence enough that he simply isn't cut out for the physical presence of the Premier League. He should be in a midfield 3 or on the bench and this is coming from someone who is a massive fan of Cesc.

Covering for Cesc might be more simple for N'golo but he's more of a robot than a human. Anyone would struggle next to Cesc.

The lack of urgency at the end of the game was very telling, the players didn't seem too bothered if im honest.

Azpilicueta has been dreadful. Our performance today is reminiscent of a few years back, do the players look bothered? Not in my opinion. Palace want it more.
