  4. oh dear lord , we just don't make it easy on ourselves. What was JT thinking of ? I'm in tatters here
  5. Yea completely agree , was just a bit surprised he wasn't replaced a bit earlier. That said who am I to question RDM , we beat Barcelona FFS !
  6. Ashley for me too. thought Cahill and JT outstanding , Didier was great. Side note , Mata looked lost.
  7. Hats off to Roy Keane , when told by that brummie "Barca had nearly 800 completed passes" , Keane says " but Chelsea have the only stat that matters". Well done Roy.
  8. was just watching JFH's goals for us on youtube last night , jesus that hat-trick against Spurs (I think) was special.
  9. I have been reading over this thread again trying to make sense of yesterday. Some of what I say is not going to make for comfortable reading. It strikes me that this thread is not about yesterday (IMHO). You see , is this just about Hillsborough or is it more ? Is it this greater than thou position that some Liverpool fans have taken in reaction to yesterday ? I mean its almost like some appear to revel in the fact that "what else did you expect from the Chelsea scum?" . Whilst completely ignoring their own minority of fans failures , I am NOT referring to Hillsborough. The clubs statement (ChelseaFC) on this has been ridiculed by some Liverpool fans as being a token gesture. We are damned if we do and damned if we don't to these people. I am completely bothered that it had to be us yesterday , so called fans of my club , a small few who are making it ever so hard for us on certain fronts. But , this hatred directed at us majority that has been seized upon by so called Liverpool fans , and Spurs for that matter I am not accepting. I am biased it is my club , I don't condone for one minute this behaviour from these people , but likewise I am not going to have the clubs , us the fans characters assassinated by the majority because of a minority. CJac22 , I applaud you for coming on here and making your point and responding to posts. Some I agree with others I don't. I'm not entirely happy with the praise you have given Everton and Spurs for their class and respect for the minutes silence , whilst making no reference to us the majority of Chelsea fans. It is easy to forget that this minutes respect was about people , I can't help thinking now particularly after yesterday's fiasco that it is just being used as one clubs reason to slag another. As I've stated to you earlier I hope that the JFT96 , HFSG and any other group of that type get closure soon.
  10. Sorry Saloman , but just not good enough for where I want us to be. We have signed KDB and whilst the Belgian league is just that , I would like him to come to us next year IF he is going to be given a shot. He has pace and skill , great crosser , can take people on and certainly knows where the goal is. Otherwise we have to go out and buy big.
  11. In my near quarter of a century (jesus is it that long?!) since my first game I would have to say Zola. He was loved by other fans (in the most) and adored by us. I got to say the early days of me going , John Bumstead , Ken Monkou , Dixon , Wilson , Mcallister , Roger Freestone , Erland Johnsen (ha ha) . I'm roaring laughing at where we were!
  12. CJac22. I'm trying to be as sensitive and delicate on this as I can , also respectful to all those families. You are right it is not my place to say whether this game is played on this date , but to have an opinion (to the contrary) and have such a reaction I find difficult. Every action gets a reaction , some may say what did he expect , my opinion is its an over-reaction by some minority. Just as yesterdays minutes silence being disrupted was done by a minority , although if you read media reports it almost implies that our entire end was singing during this time. Can I feel what these families feel on this date ? No , but as a person , I have empathy with them for their loss. The Taylor report vindicates Liverpool fans in their accounts for that terrible day. The myths about that day you refer to are perpetuated by whom ? The media , SYP ? I believe I'm wise enough to see with better eyes than to believe the media and what they compose. I think I will leave it there.
  13. Just don't see the problem with Alan Davies comments really. Its not for me to say whether it is right or not for Liverpool to play on the anniversary of Hillsborough , but we can all have an opinion can't we ? Did he say anything outrageous ? How does what he said show a lack of respect for the 96 people who died ? I have not read the Taylor report , nor will I. It was a tragedy for those families and nothing will bring their loved ones back. If justice is what will help bring closure for these families , well I hope they get it , sooner rather than later. 23 years is a long time to carry such feelings. I can only think of the impact this long term fight for justice will/is having. I hope it doesn't turn out to be a pyrrhic victory ,
