Completely agree , only the type of scouser who comes on here to rant , is the type that sings "munich" or refuses to accept that LFC had anything to do with the Heysel tragedy.

Bad form , and we will have to suffer for a minority. I'm not justifying or trying to off load today's lack of respect , but if you look at the things that are said by some supporters of all teams , not one team can sit on that moral high horse and point the righteous finger at us. (they will and always will).

Man Utd 2 - Chelsea 3 . Bobby Campbells kids , gave us no chance , my first visit up there and did we enjoy ourselves. Arse 1 - Chelsea 2 . Claudio's tears , Wayne bridge lashing it in , I think I may have done a Dickie (attenborough) myself. Boro 0 - Chelsea 2. 1997 Fa Cup. Taped all the lead up to the match , got about 5 hours coverage and watched it til my eyes watered and still do. Stuttgart 0 - Chelsea 1 . 1998 CWC. Sports Cafe , Haymarket , the place went crackers , absolutely nuts. Too many more to mention

Gotta say I'm happy enough with our first half , great goal by Didier. As for the minutes silence , yes all support have a minority of idiots. Was it from our end ?

I don't know if this was used before (I'm sure it was) but away to Pompey , Rumbelows cup gotta be 20 years ago. There was this old style rattle (the clack style) going from the pompey side , you could here it all over the ground I reckon. The chant came from us "you can stick your f**kin rattle up your arse , you can stick your f**kin rattle up your arse" and so on. The best thing was I swear I heard the pompey crowd laughing.

So with the game approaching fast I can't help but remember back to all the previous meetings with them and how genuinely I feel we were done by some terrible decisions. I'm not so sure about the whole conspiracy thing , and to be honest its gone now so I don't annoy myself about it. What I am bothered about is how we are going to cope with more p*ss poor decisions and then not having (this is going to upset a lot of people) the ability to do something about it , as in beat them. The diving around , the rolling around , the surrounding the ref , unless we get a very good ref , we are bow lockeds. Now I'll be honest other than the CL games that have been on the box with Barcalona playing I have seen none of them domestically. I don't think its the best team they have had , but I think they are better than us. If we come out with a win at SB I will be delighted , but going to their gaff is going to be , well frankly I don't think its going to go our way. Dare I say we will end up with 10 men ? Anyway as always KTBFFH , and come on lads give it everything and you just never know...........

A bit lucky , but we're still there and the citeh faithful are getting restless. Raul and Lamps looking a bit out of it tbh. Rambo no good at crossing , nothing really going in for Torres although he is working hard and looking sharp. Mikel looking good in there , which I never thought I would say. Drogba got to go on and bully the back two.

Savic and Kolo ....its not the strongest CB pairing is it? (in light of Savic not starting I'm gonna say) Richards and Kolo ............

Just to add to this , if Torres doesn't play but Danny does , what type of reaction would you expect from Torres and the other players. I mean there were times against Leicester where I'm sure the other players were throwing their arms in the air at some his selfish play. I know in reality there will be no real reaction but in terms of doing what you can for the team , Torres deserves his start.

I see the pressure being on Citeh , but they surely have the players to overcome that. However , if we keep them out early on it will definately increase their anxiety. Whether we go with Torres (who deserves a start) or Danny (who will have a point to prove , ex Citeh) we have enough to score. I'm gonna go with ------------------Cech--------------- Iva------Cahill-------Luiz-----Cole ----------------Essien--------------- ------Lampard------Ramires------ Torres-------Drogba--------Mata Come on lads , get a result here and against the spuds and we are right back in it. Torres by a long distance. Showed true class and the team ethic with his play for Meireles goal. Outstandingly unselfish.

This I hope is a new start for Torres. In fairness his play has been great recently , helping the team and assisting , just missing a goal , well not now. And TBH the setting up of the 5th goal was classier than scoring a hat-trick. Danny take note.
