  1. I have a funny feeling that the FA will want their pound of flesh!
  2. yeah he has. ramires and josh mcechren in some matches where he was a bit iffy!
  3. i respect people's opinions but ramires is a defencive midfielder first and foremost because it is his best position. he played there for benfica, brazil and us. he is such a quality player that he is generally pretty good around the pitch. a bit like phil jones who is a central defender.
  4. the qualification for the olympics is not really all there! argentina the holders and several top nations are missing. no wonder they are finding it hard to shift tickets! with the furore of beckham, i guess there will be empty seats all round!
  5. the drog will be missed but we are way stronger than last season by a country mile. torres backed up by sturridge and lukaku is fine. best to give gametime to the 2 so they can gain experience than to get another in. the team and squad has so many attacking and potential midfield scorers that i believe they can share the goal burden. lamps, mata, hazard, db,marin and for a defencive midfielder ramires has an eye for goal. even in defence terry, cahill, luiz, ivanovic all chipped in last season.
  6. we don't need another striker. best to give lukaku and sturridge the game time. we are one of the few teams where we have potent scoring midfielders who can share the burden. lamps, mata, hazard, and for a defencive midfielder ramires is scoring important goals as well. even the defence are chipping in!
  7. josh was pretty good in the pre season but was ignored for experience for the pl campaign. He really needs someone like a whinger to encourage and develope his talent. This season will be very interesting to see if RDM can show he can emulate whinger. Especially with the other young players as well.
  8. Mr Carter-stephenson said that Ferdinand had only decided to go to the police when persuaded by his agent Justin Rigby. Ferdinand denied this saying "No i made up my own mind. I wanted to do it." My opinion is that someone has a sack of potatoes on their shoulders and could open their own chippie!
  9. merci beaucoup. when i'm over there i will definitely watch a match.
  10. must be a spud fan!
  11. he wants to leave a legacy to be remembered and admired by every football fan.
  12. no to hulk and his ilks! our scouts are idiots who just scout the most obvious players that any idiot can do! they hear a player who is scoring goals or have that one good season or are so obviously expencive that they have to tell roman! arneson had the right idea when he recruited taiwo and woods but he knew sod all about english football and by the looks of it european football!i fear eventually we might end up like the goons where they have losted the english soul from an english club! so sod hulk and give sturridge his chance and get scouts who are familar with the english game!
  13. elmo and his ilk are lazy leeches living in roman's colon! they just go for the most obvious talents that anybody with half a brain can make! it would be more beneficial if they made more recruitments in england and actually put in the effort to ensure the talents have a better chance at been first team regulars. i fear that these idiots have not learned from past mistakes. areneson had the right idea when he signed wood and tom taiwo but what does he actually know about english football and come to think of it other countries?! oxlade-chamberlain would of been a nice recruit. is it a wonder why certain past managers never saw eye to eye with him! shame they let brendon rodgers go, in fact shame they let jose's backroom team go!
  14. i wasn't to happy with how he left and joined loserpool, but he spent 7 years with us and he gave 100%. i can still remember that cheeky goal of his against manure! he is a legend but not quite in the same level as some but if he came back and manage us to what rdm did then he'll be right up the top with them!
  15. dorset old boy! the reason hazard chose us is because we have a football lover as an owner. citeh were never in it because their owners just think money can buy anything to show the world how affluent and magnimous they are. manure has fergy as a draw but even he can't last forever and not many will join a club with soccer loving money/debt making owners. there signing of kagawa is a fine example and their unsigning of ozil another one! look across to the emirates and you will realise what a good job whinger has done but ever since dein threw in his hat with the uzbek (who looked like a football lover) instead of the soccer loving want to make money stan they have suffered 8 years of hurt. expect more good players and more academy players because abramovich will get it right eventually by his experiences.
  16. chinese new year, young unmarried people get lucky red money envelopes as shown by those degrading hsbc adverts! this is why many in the far east supported loserpool and manure but their support is backed up by their recent success and having players like ronaldo, rooney, gerrard and torres! having gone back recently to the far east the trend for many is to support successful teams with charismatic players, especially english players like lampard and terry. the reds do not rule! cardiff owner is stupid and has no real love for football, just a need to showcase his wealth to people back home on how well he is doing!
  17. the FA have a lot to answer for the decline in passion for team england. they do not see english fans. they just see cashcows. with the endless friendlies and the lack of tournament evolution has led to a lack of real interest from english football fans. factor in the mismanagement and a severe lack of empathy with english fans then you will always find if they had a choice then they would rather watch their clubs performing in proper competitive football. english fans are different from england fans but i would still cheer on england but not as passionately. this will probably never change because i just don't like the FA offcials and the way they run football.
  18. he did his part but anybody in his position would be outstanding if the whole team played defencively. i would have to say he has at times given us good service.
  19. I realise we are behind Spuds and Goons as the best team in London and that Frank Lampard is to fat to be considered captain for England! After all Gerrard is captain for Loserpool who got Roy the sack but Roy dosen't bare grudges! He instead acknowledges what a wonderful job Gerrard has done with his teammates in winning something and finishing in the top10 and getting King Kenny the sack as well! I'm sure there is a moral to this story but for the life of me i don't know!
  20. cech ivanovic, cahill, terry, cole ramires, lampard sturridge, mata, hazard torres subs romeu, bertrand, mcechren, piazon, luiz, de bruyn, turnball. manager rdm talented english players should be given as much chances as possible so that we do not become like the goons!
  21. it is easy to blame roman abramovich after all he is the owner and it is his money. i did at first when jose mourinho left but over the years certain employees names have consistently cropped up .for instances there were the employees who treated the pitchowners with disdain and the lack of support for the manangers and coaches. roberto di matteo having done what he has done is treated abysmally by those employees. they should be on their hands and knees telling roman this is the right course of action of giving di matteo a chance. having seen and heard what happened to butch and certain others, these employees seem to not want to jeopradise their positions for what is right for the club. seeing what jose mourinho has gone on and done and the people he bought with him doing well, i hope abramovich wakes up and realise his employees are doing him and his/our club a disservice.
  22. Di matteo utilised fully the 'legacy' that Jose Mourinho left which is coming to an end. The acid test for any incoming manager is how to evolve the entire production line to benefit the first team. Recruiting is not a problem but we do not want to end up like Arsenal.I for one would like Di matteo to be given a chance to evolve the club so that we can sustain even more success. The reason i like about Di matteo is that he recognises the English and long establish contingent of players is what gives us the 'backbone' to be successful.
  23. guardiola is brilliant at developing and managing players. villas-boas as far as i know never did that at chelsea but brendon rodgers did. villas-boas is good at strategy with a settled team with no need to develope. di matteo is good at managing but is he good at deveoping young players? at this stage i would only look to di matteo and give him the chance to prove he can develope young players. i would not look at guardiola because he is spainish and i can see him doing what wenger has done with the goons. wenger never replaced the english backbone with english players and that dry run looks like going on and on!
  24. i dislike the FA. they rip of the fans. they act like FIFA on a smaller scale. 25000 tickets for a 90000 capacity stadium! i expect at least 10000 will end up in touts hands! as for the national team, i can hear the laughter from other countries!
  25. i hope people don't take this the wrong way but if you have everyone playing a defencive strategy then the 3 defencive midfielders will be made to look good if it creates success.
