  1. No! Every other team is the enemy, period.
  2. This fool for one SimonH. I waited a hell of a long time for us to win the league and it was sweet when we did. I would guess that the majority of people voting for Munich have only been supporting Chelsea for about 5 minutes compared to some of us, not that there's anything wrong in that.
  3. What highlights, there were none. Lineker should have said ‘here are the goals from the y*ds v Chelsea game'. What was shown bared no resemblance to what I saw firsthand but then MOTD try to cram to much in into the time they have which make them like tottenham................................... sh*t!!
  4. What a great day out that was, I had a ball. Going to have a sh*t, shower and a shave then it's off down the pub for a few more pints. If remember rightly we were fooking fantastic from start to finish albeit with a slight wobble after the break. Bit pissed right now and going to celebrate some more. Tottenham fans, I sh*t em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. If you didn't vote for Mata then what game were you watching!!
  6. The footballing world knows Wenger has selective viewing so it comes as no surprise that he said what he did.
  7. Went for Mata but Cech should be mentioned in despatches.
  8. I lost all interest in the England team some time ago when Lamps was lambasted by parts of the press along with a proportion of the England fans. As we know Cole too came in for much the same treatment so I say good on ya JT. That’s two fingers up at the FA and long may you continue as Chelsea captain where you’re truly appreciated. Just wish Lamps and Cole would do the same thing.
  9. Zola.... no Osgood.... no hang on Zola.... no wait Osgood... Nah!! can't decide..... f**k it yes I can Osgood. Zola was class as was Osgood but BlueBeard called it right when he said 'The perfect striker, strong in the air, two-footed, extremely skillful, and hard as nails'.
  10. Never had a penny to my name when I started going so the cost of travel and entrance was of no concern to me. Dodged on and off public transport to get to the Bridge and snuck into the ground whenever I could. I only ever got my hands on a match day program if I found one on the floor which wasn’t that often. My abiding memory of those early days supporting the Blues were one of being cold and hungry mostly and not how much anything cost. Would like to be able to say that they were happy days but they were far from that.
  11. This thread is like a fine wine. You need to take your time viewing it and savour its content. Thanks for taking the time for what you've posted thus far, not just you PB but all contributors.
  12. What an excellent thread!!! Bringing back memories long gone or so I thought. Pictures of the Bridge from how we used to see it from the terraces and the away crack too, Brighton, Grimsby, Derby etc. I'm writing this having only got to page 11 of 61 and I'm loving every second it.
  13. Don't want to turn this site into a golfing forum but it wasn't said by Gary Player, not that people here would really give a f**k. Even so it rings true Englishman. http://quoteinvestigator.com/2010/07/14/luck/
  14. This thread is entitled Favourite Drogba Moments not..... let's give him a little dig as he leaves the dressing room.
  15. Of course his goals for us are/were important, some more so than others - Saturday night being a case in point. Although not football related one of my favourite Didi moments was when he appeared on The Graham Norton Show prior to this year’s FA Cup. Prepared to have a laugh and a joke even though he may not have always known what was going on. But more importantly demonstrating his humility in what he is and has achieved in his native Ivory Coast. A top marksman on the pitch only to be surpassed by his ongoing off pitch achievements. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rw-cuoIrRo
  16. Kerry Dixon, David Speedie, Colin Pates, John Bumstead, Steve Clark, Mickey Droy, Clive Walker, Nigel Spackman, Mark Hughes . There’s a few more I could add but the one that stands out upper most was the King of Stamford Bridge. Bumped into him in a pub in Cookham. The second I walked in I recognised him standing alone at the bar one lunchtime. Me and my mate walked up to the bar keeping a respectful distance away, ordered our drinks and whilst keeping my eyes firmly on the barman said, ...and what ever Mr Osgood is having. He graciously declined my offer but instead engaged us in conversation for the next 45 minutes or so until the guy he was waiting for eventually turned up. An absolute gent of the highest order. The legend that is Peter Osgood.
  17. It’s not a taunt but more of a war cry and one I still love to this day. Nobody could lead the cry quite like Mickey Greenaway (R.I.P) and although some still do today they always fall short of MG. All I need say is................... ZIGGER ZAGGER ZIGGER ZAGGER OI OI OI I believe I’m right in saying that Mickey also came up with what many call our unofficial anthem ‘Carefree.......’
  18. Fair play to you moi but you are going to think me petty but you use that word 'luck' again. Luck has nothing to do with it, I like many others work bloody hard for what I get. Winning the lottery is lucky, not earning a wage.
  19. Just making the point that I do get out in the real world that's all, nothing more.
  20. Luck has nothing to do with it. I save hard all year round cutting back more and more on other activites I like. The day will come fairly soon though that it will be beyond my wallet though. And I'm not trying to spoil the moment at all, sorry if it comes across that way. I love Chelsea so much that I want other football supporters and people in general to hold us in some reverance. So in saying that I think our shambolic trophy presentation was cringe worthy what with it being shown all over the world. And no I don't mean like going back to Bobby Moore times, I was just trying to give an example of how it should be done with some pride and dignity that's all. As I said, when the guys are back on the pitch with the fans then they can go a bit mental.
  21. Oh I think I get out quite a bit, especially from mid August to around May going to just about every Chelsea game there is and not in a Delorean either.
  22. Let's get one thing straight here, I f**king love Chelsea. Followed them all over the country, was with them in the dark days of almost being relagated into what was the old 3rd division so I've seen the highs and the really crap lows. I'm a very proud Chelsea supporter and on the biggest night of our lives I thought the boys could have acted in a more dignified manner when being handed the trophy. If that's a bad thing then so be it.
  23. So Bobby Moore was a mindless automaton, harsh to say the least.
  24. You have demonstrated my point perfectly. No class, no dignity and we put ourselves above this lot.
