Myles_91
Sad news today about Drogba leaving and will always be a club legend no matter what some say but maybe it is the right time for him to move on, winning the CL for us is hardly a bad way to go out. I still could not believe he didn't even make it up for nomination in the 20 year anniversary of the Premier League, but that says more about the red bias than it does his ability. Best all round centre forward the Prem has seen IMO, not got the intelligance and vision Bergkamp or Zola had but just an all round powerhouse. Good in the air, great free kicks, fantastic with both feet. Rated by Carragher and Reina as the best centre forward they've come up against, which included the likes of Henry, Bergkamp and even Cantona in the case of the former. Didier has left me with many memories but the one man battering of Benitez's Liverpool in the CL and Wenger's Arsenal is up there with some of his best performances in a Blue Shirt IMO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etKJm7i0K6I

Gem
I'll post pictures/video's later, hope everyone else does. My favourite Didier moments: Munich Telling the world Ovrebo was a disgrace His two goals against Arsenal in the 3-0 All the FA Cup final goals but the 09/10 one the most for the double His chest, spin and smash into the back of the net against Liverpool & Barcelona Running towards the fat Spanish waiter and celebrating His epic knee slides Christ, emotional :(

MKBlue
1/ Saturday night and one of the best headed goals I've ever seen. 2/ f**king disgrace, summed up how we all felt on the night. 3/ Cardiff in the League Cup final and all the other times he terrorised the goons. 4/ The swivels and shots against Barca and Liverpool Bottom of the list and completely forgiven now, Moscow after which I thought we'd never see him again. Wherever you go and whatever you do Didi you'll always have a warm welcome when you come home, don't be a stranger. Gabriel25
I'm new here, been lurking for a bit but never felt the urge to register. Been a Chelsea fan since around 99/00 and I'm extremely gutted to see this man go, I cried today when I saw it in the club's website, I just refuse to believe it. I wanted him to retire here. I wrote this for him in Spanish (it's my mother tongue), I'll try to translate some but it won't rhyme. Whatever: You represent the blue and white You're our champion, you're gold Didier you broke the mold From Abiya to London, your limit was the stars, the world saw you never gave up and fell on your feet. The stands shout the Drog! when they see you, rivals get KO'ed trying to defend against you. They feel your ambition, your motivation, your determination, it never trembles. You fight against every opponent, it doesn't matter if they think they can stop you, you turned sport into art, extraordinaire. You go on the pitch like a raging bull, all for a dream, the one many of us had you accomplished, you were the great Titan in blue and white, by yourself and that monstrous talent that pours whenever you turn and score, whenever you pull a flick or a kick and a plea, a scream to the sky, straight to glory, victory is for the King and Didier is our king. Number 11 will go down in history. You took your name farther than the stars, every little kid today wants to be Didier, there's no goal that resists. dressed in blue, prelude of another victory. World star without forgetting your origins, engaged with your cause and your country. Your eyes looking straight to the goal like a hawk, your fist on your chest, call it desire, the entire world saw you kiss the cup. Champion. Pressure made you stronger, breed of the superstar, I see fire and love for the game in your eyes, and in your feet the skill of who defeats fear, living legend. Fought through adversities, the whole world. When no one else believed you didn't let it stop you, now it's for the world to see that you're the number one fulfilling all you're dreams. King DD11. I'm getting all emotional now but I will miss him so much... :( I know it's selfish but I wanted him to end his career here and bow out at the bridge followed by a lap of honor and a huge ovation. Thank you for all these years DD, we'll never forget you.
Phillip
For me, like Scott Harris, it is the Everton goal. Pure class. Oh, and another thing, I cannot recall Drogs having a bad miss. Maybe I have a selective memory. Edited May 22, 2012 by Phillip
PloKoon13
This is one of them: 115th minute winner in the FA Cup Final vs Man Utd. Outrageous 1-2 with Lampard (nice ball forward from Mikel) and then brutally outpaces and outmuscles the floundering Ferdinand to poke it past Van der Sar. What a moment. FWK
Every single time he scored against Arsenal. But my favourite are showed here at 1:39. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP0CERcd8UE
Phillip
Check out goal 16 versus Bayern Munich (in 2005?). Eerily similar to Drogs last goal to knot the score at 1-1 in the CL final.
dkw
Wenger saying all Drogba does is score, and he`s overrated. Cue demolition of Arsenal and sliding past Wenger on the side of the pitch. Lovely.

PlateSpin
Of course his goals for us are/were important, some more so than others - Saturday night being a case in point. Although not football related one of my favourite Didi moments was when he appeared on The Graham Norton Show prior to this year’s FA Cup. Prepared to have a laugh and a joke even though he may not have always known what was going on. But more importantly demonstrating his humility in what he is and has achieved in his native Ivory Coast. A top marksman on the pitch only to be surpassed by his ongoing off pitch achievements. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rw-cuoIrRo

Phillip
Hmmmm, Drogs took 5 PKs, and 4 of the 5 were to the left. Thankfully, Bayern did not have that information. Upon second thought, maybe he took more PKs than 5, as the compilation is only for the goals that he made. Edited May 22, 2012 by Phillip
superdan
That Wembley goal against Man U was one of my favourites as I was sitting level with it! Don't forget people, a compilation of Drogba's great defensive headers would probably go on just as long, he was immense as an extra man at the back
