Well, a result to make SAF-era Man U proud: a rather dodgy performance, maximum points and no cards for Fab and Matic! Love it! As for Fab, that was probably his most significant contribution for us in many months, that goal. Nice to see him picking up over the last few games. Of course, I share the sentiments of others when they point and laugh at QP-ha. What a cruddy, two-bit 'club'. The ultimate example of how money doesn't equate to success, they seem to buy players based on how they did in FIFA 10 or whatever, or to sell shirts to would-be gloryhunters...maybe because they don't have enough real fans to start off with. The Conference hopefully beckons...

For Chelsea, I can't see why Douglas Costa would be any more than a squad player. He's good at crossing and free kicks, but he's been no more than decent in the UCL and he's not as hard working as Willian or Oscar. He is at best on Oscar's level technically and IMO below Willian. I'd honestly prefer to keep Oscar instead.

Yeah and no goalkeepers LOL. Far sight from the 2010-11 Premier League club. Same could be said of Wigan too.

I don't think Salah had a poor mentality per se unlike many Egyptian players (Amr Zaki, Ghaly) - he seemed fairly professional and hard-working - just that he wasn't really good enough to crack the team and struggled with competition.

Hazard as per usual. Willian and Remy were impressive too. Lucky that Remy is showing good form now that Costa is incapacitated.

Part of the reason why he's so lethal with Fiorentina: 1) He's been playing a more central role behind Gomez/Babacar, whereas with Chelsea he was played wider. 2) Fiorentina are more of a counterattacking side, quite often playing a 3-4-1-1/3-5-2. 3) He's one of their best players based on ability, whereas here he's just a squad player. Clearly he thrives when he's the star of the show, as opposed to a bit-part who has to battle for a place. Also while his technique is decent (though inferior to Hazard/Willian/Oscar), his decision-making can still be questionable - he gets a lot of chances for Fiorentina on the counter and still misses a good number.

These must be two of the worst posts I've ever seen on this forum. If Mourinho is tactically inept, then how come his Porto side of 2003-04 defied the odds? Simple; not only was his strategy effective for the time (high offside trap, structured defence, bombing fullbacks), but he varied his tactics based on the opponent (changing strikers to suit the opponent, could alternate from attack to defence). As for your suggestion of better tacticians than Mourinho - Neal? Hoddle? Don't make me laugh. Vialli? Not even for his time. Di Matteo? A better motivator and man-manager than tactician. Moreover, Mourinho's budget at Porto wouldn't have been that great.
