This season is by far the worst one that I can remember in all my years of supporting Chelsea, although no doubt it seems heavenly next to the 1970's and 80's. Luckily I cannot remember those times so I now have this season as the ultimate reference point for Chelsea mediocrity. One of the few saving graces is Leicester's miracle title win, probably one of the few things that could possibly obscure Chelsea's fall from grace. Claudio, once again we thank you. It's almost trite to discuss the things that went wrong this season. Chelsea was almost like a living embodiment of Murphy's Law - everything that could go wrong, DID go wrong. From the disjointed pre-season, to dressing room friction, to Jose turning into a parody of himself, to key players rapidly losing form or getting injured, to relegation-standard play, to what is the worst title defence in living memory, to some highly questionable and perhaps politicised selections and tactics...it's actually a challenge to think about what went RIGHT. Well, here's my list: - Willian, perhaps the only player who played anywhere near as well as he did last season (albeit he was solid last season, but not great) - Kurt Zouma's continued development - Claudio Ranieri finally winning a top-flight title - (Maybe) Antonio Conte's end-of-season appointment, given that he doesn't suffer fools lightly Anyway, on we go to next season. It surely couldn't be any worse - could it?

However, from what little I have seen, he has retained some of his sharpness in front of goal - his predatory instincts and aerial ability are still intact. Maybe a slower-paced league with smaller central defenders is what he needs to try and rebuild his reputation.

No, I disagree. Benitez was a hate figure at Chelsea for historical reasons. Personally, I think Pellegrini is a capable manager - not a massive fan of his but besides the little bit of edge provided by our recent title rivalry with City, I don't think Chelsea fans have an especially strong opinion on him either way.

Not a big fan of Rangers like many Chelsea fans, but am glad to see them beat Falkirk and stay on course for automatic promotion. It would be nice to see them regain some of their lost glory.

Torres was absolutely brilliant at Liverpool, even more so than Sturridge. When he decided to turn on the afterburners after attaching himself to one of Gerrard or Alonso's through balls, he was nigh-on unstoppable. Sturridge was lethal in combination with Suarez, but he is not the singular matchwinner that Torres was.

(Assuming this rumour is true) Besides being a shoddy way to treat a legend, I don't really understand this decision. Why give Ivanovic a year more while discarding JT? Even at CB, I would prefer JT, especially in games against good opposition in which his experience will come in useful if we sit deep and counter. Not to mention he'll have a hand in propping up dressing room morale and providing experience to the younger players. He's seen it all and now he'll have seen his last here at the end of the season. Very sad day for us all.

Chinese clubs have been throwing around money for years, so it wouldn't surprise me. As for Ramires, all the best if he does leave. 25 million is a great deal for a player of his calibre. I'm amazed that he's served with us for so long, because it was like yesterday when Carlo signed him. In 2011-12 he was one of our best players (albeit in a weak squad) and the chip against Barcelona was sublime.
