Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Bingo! I only watch clips of players and base an opinion on a player on the strength of that Reus has been immense these past two seasons in the Bundesliga for a Gladbach team that's fairly average on paper, scoring 29 goals in the last two seasons as well as 17 assists (33 goals + 20 assists in all competitions). Not to mention that he's just recently turned 23, so is younger and has buckets of potential - therefore will only improve year upon year - and add the prices of the two players, it's a no brainer who I would pick to sign given the choice (and if I were building a team for the future, which we are)

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Oh and, before I forget, Reus > Hulk

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
But remind yourself that it's ITV and tonight they were excellent, here were some highlights -[After Reus' goal] 'Rolls Royce! (with orgasm)' [After Samaras' goal] 'GREECE HAVE WIPED OUT THEIR DEBT' Constant use of 'efficiency' used when describing Germany and sticking to sterotypes that are outdated. Khedira has been known as Özil and vice versa, and about 4 different players have been called Schweinsteiger

Messi
Best player in the world by the proverbial country mile. Phenomenal player that just oozes class, doesn't do the diving/simulation which is present in our game today (in fact, he seems gutted to be called back for a FK when he wants to carry on dribbling past a sea of defenders and slotting the ball into the net) and will go down as the all time greats (IMO, Maradona > Pele, and Messi is on course to surpass Maradona should he continue as he is atm). The most mind-boggling thing about him is that he hasn't reached his peak, yes that's a 73 goal season and the guy isn't at his f**king peak! I personally think we should all just sit back and enjoy what a wonderful player of the game we have here and just be in awe of his talents, he is football's Paganini. The best thing about Messi is how he conducts himself on the pitch and off the pitch and the dedication he has towards football - the guy is ridiculously humble and ego-less(ie. quick to congratulate his teammates and the team for his successes etc) and you can see the guy has a passion for the game that is unrivaled (I recall a youtube video where Pep is asking Messi if he wants to come off as Barca were cruising and Messi wanted to play the full 90 minutes ) and, if I remember correctly, the Barca Dr's did tests on the players and Messi was the fittest/most healthy player at Barca which is tremendous and it's quite amazing to think that he practically plays every Barca game and plays all 90 minutes of it. Unreal. This, in turn, leads me to cringe when I heard uneducated idiots compare him to CR and say 'Messi isn't a complete player', 'Messi hasn't proven himself in the Premiership', 'Messi needs assists from Xavi and Iniesta' which is utter nonesense (Messi clearly is a complete player, he doesn't need to prove himself elsewhere tbh and Xaviesta rely more on Messi than vice versa). An absolute joy to behold and we should all be grateful that we are witnessing greatness right before our very eyes - the Micheal Jordan of football.

Random Rumours
Gebre Selassie was horrific tonight, nearly as bad as he was vs Russia which just shows you when he needs to have a defensive duty against a non-average side/player he does poorly. No thanks.

What happens after JT?
Assuming he's still at the club when JT retires, then it's 100% Ivanović. Must be.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Agent Sheva must have done his job and talked up Chelsea to Iarmolenko and Konoplyanka .. Roman make it happen!
-
Hulk coming to Chelsea?
This. I mentioned the pair in the 'Random Rumours' thread iirc as they've been good this Euro campaign for Russia. If I had to pick between the pair, I'd take Iarmolenko personally but we could always get both for £25m

Alan Dzagoev
Not good enough We've still got Essien, Malouda, Meireles, Ferreira in our books so I'm pretty sure Dzagoev is a class above the aforementioned players (in terms of ability). I like Kalou but we also had him and Bosingwa upto this season too

Chelsea Players in Euro 2012
Imo, Gerrard was MotM for England and has been England's best player thus far.
-
Victor Moses joining Chelsea?
It might be curtains for Sturridge regardless of Moses coming in because he's yet to sign a new contract (and as far as I'm aware there's been no progress in getting him a new deal) and he has 1 year left, as does Moses so you can fill in the blanks.Apparently, Moses has been on our radar for a while (since he was a schoolboy, apparently)

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
I think their owned by the same Qatari business that has a major deal with Ligue Un for their TV rights on Al-Jazeera and the likes (ie. the French league is shown a lot in those sections) so I'm pretty sure they'll be untouched by FFP. In fact, most of the richer clubs will find a loophole of sorts to evade having action against them. That being said, PSG are building quite a strong side that could potentially do harm in Europe (CL) let alone cruising through Ligue Un in the coming years

Modric Act II
Tbh, if he buggers off to Madrid .. I'll happily take Sahin of Real's hands.
-
RB - Mathieu Debuchy?
Lille coach Rudi Garcia [with regards to Newcastle making a bid for Debuchy] said: "I do believe that Newcastle have faxed an offer of £4million - but they must have the wrong player."

Chelsea player to use as a sweetener.
It's the amazing Diego Costa he's after!
-
Chelsea player to use as a sweetener.
The problem is players like Essien and Malouda have had their value eroded over the past season/18 months but yeah, I think that should be the way forward for our transfers
-
Modric Act II
I'd hardly call his season 'great' tbh, he's done well against bottom sides and the likes of APOEL but hasn't been consitent at all this season. Definitely wouldn't want an injury prone 30 year old who won't be a starter and will be in a position where we've got more than enough players to play in that position. Not to mention he'd clog up mega wages and isn't exactly cheap.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Did you not comprehend the fact that he's just signed for Valencia?

Maicon rumours getting louder
And because he makes WhoScored's TOTY that proves that he's the 2nd best RB in the world? Without going off on a great tangent, that same team has Benassi as their GK and Nagatomo as their LB and in their Bundesliga TOTY there are omissions of Gomez and Lewandowski in it so it doesn't really prove to be that good an indicator of how good a player someone is.IMO, Maggio and Lichsteiner both had better seasons than him and the likes of Ivanovic, Walker, Richards and Sagna are all superior to Maicon (not to mention Alves and the best RB in the world Lahm) and there are other RBs who would be more suitable to look at - see Debuchy and Piszczek, who are also probably better than Maicon.
-
Maicon rumours getting louder
In the last two years (ie. since Mourinho left) he's been utter w**k and has eroded as a player tremendously. Yes he was good between 09-10 but that's when he was at his peak (like much of the Inter side) and since then he's been average at best. At one time he may well have been the 2nd best RB in the world, but he's certainly not even close today (would barely make it in the Top 10)
-
Maicon rumours getting louder
I watch enough to know that Maicon certainly isn't the 2nd best RB in the world.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
You mean the same João Pereira that signed for Valencia for €3.6M before the Euros

Random Rumours
He's got a much better claim than, say, those who consider Falcao as the world's best poacher
