alan'82
Just a question, but is there any player in the current squad you'd be content to use to sweeten any possible future player deal?.You would still have to add cash but, adding a player would seal the deal. For example: £30 million & Danny Sturridge to spuds for Bale and Modric,(or Kyle Walker). Or Essien & say, £10mill to Inter for Wesley Sneijder?. Malouda plus cash for Ben Arfa & demba Ba or Cisse? Ross Turnbull & £5 million................ for just taking Ross Turnbull!, (only kidding, honest). I think you get the idea but, is it a good one?. Mike 93
Yeh, I wish buisness was conducted like this more often but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Defo Modric 25mill and essien or something sounds very interesting. Although they wouldn't need essien as they have sandro and parker. Another one would be 15 mill and meriles for Moutinho. Uno
Torres straight swap for Cavani to the guy at A.Madrid?
BaneIvanovic
The problem is players like Essien and Malouda have had their value eroded over the past season/18 months but yeah, I think that should be the way forward for our transfers

TheWestwayWonder
Gael Kakuta. With the wingers we have brought in this summer, he is clearly never going to be the world class player he mightve become at Chelsea. Sadly. When we bought David Luiz, Nemanja Matic got us 5 million euros off the price. Considering he cost us 1.5m like 2 years earlier and was still a raw prospect that was a good deal. Cam
It's made harder with the wages...chances are we'd be paying those players more than any other club who might be interested are willing to pay. Is it feasible to continue paying the difference in wages between their existing contract and the contract at the new club until the end of the contract? Maybe, but I don't know how often it happens in the real world, and it's certainly not the best business model. It would work better with fringe players (like as mentioned, the Matic situation)...because they wouldn't have such high wages.
Zeta
People like Essien and Malouda spring to mind, though not sure who would want them, the latter especially.
SydneyChelsea
Malouda will be a Euro 2012 winner come sales time. Personally, it's highly disrespectful to either player given what they have achieved for Chelsea. Both should be allowed to move of their own choosing, not where the club suggests or shoehorns them to go.

For the good of the club we need to be moving players like these on. Thank them for their hard work but show them the door.
Coxy
Raul Merielles and cash for a solid forward like Huntalaar, Cavani, Higuin, Falcao or even Hulk would be ideal.

And have you also noticed how the TT are always taking the piss out of anyone who dares to express a contrary opinion of Torres? U no it makes sense, joins in the thread and makes a post suggesting he would swap Torres for A.N. Other, cue some of the usual TT suspects, (not Mike 93 I would add), having a dig.
