  1. 'Liverpool fans are known for their sportsmanship'...As they've never made light of the Munich plane crash have they...?
  2. I only got back from university yesterday so I was a bit skeptical with some of the claims on here that the media were having a w**kfest over Liverpool but after watching a few hours worth of tv, this is unbelievable. I don't have an issue with the Hillsborough tribute but the self-entitlement is off the scale, I know it might be bad for our title challenge but I could comfortably sleep tonight knowing City twat the sh*t out of them.
  3. I despise Liverpool, but to throw accusations solely at them of seeing the club as a religion is a bit far as every club's fans do the same thing. The issue for me is their sense of entitlement, that somehow their way is somehow the best way despite that being disproved by every logical argument. The 'your only good because of money' is obviously a statement designed to get a rise from their title rivals in us and City, but the alternative would be lunacy. If someone came along and said 'I'll make this team wildly successful with very few massively negative benefits', you would have to be mental to turn it down. They can go on about the 'Liverpool Way' and yes they have performed well beyond their expected capabilities this year but going by their comments you'd think us and City had wasted our fortune when since their last day in the sun in 2005, we've easily outperformed them this last decade. Or something like that, I'm tired. f**k the red pricks.
  4. Thought the ref was brilliant tonight, great to see a quality official for once.
  5. Luiz for me, that was a Makelele-esque performance, probably his best in a blue shirt.
  6. Hazard to rip these f**kers to shreds and Ivanovic to get away with kicking Suarez's head off.
  7. My favourite non-Chelsea player would have to be that big African striker at Galatasaray...name escapes me though
  8. Hazard rested, usual defense, Matic, Lampard, Schurrrle, Salah, Willian, Torres
  9. Its funny as Torres won't ever play in it (crosses fingers).
  10. Would be ecstatic to land him if possible, Kroos-Matic would be one of the best pivots in the world.
  11. Possible language barrier maybe?
  12. Apart from Hazard who was ok, that was f**king sh*te, Ramires in particular.
  13. Problem for United is that Bayern lead on away goals which means they can't park the bus again, got to come out and play them.
  14. Haven't seen much of him, but would Thorgan Hazard be ready to be part of the first-team squad?
  15. So after wading through the pages and pages of despair in the wake of the Palace game and the Scouse revival, I thought it would be good to start a thread dedicated to all the things we can be thankful for this season. 1) The return of JT. After the idiocy of the FSW to bench him, he's been playing some of his best football for absolute years, looks like he could last another 4-5 years. 2) Re-signing Matic. Aside from the Palace match, an absolute f**king rock and credit to the board and Roman for swallowing their pride and allowing us to buy him back. The way he dominated Toure at the Etihad was pure artwork. 3) The rise of Dave and Cahill. Two solid if not spectacular squad members last year, now could get into most first eleven's anywhere. Dave in particular playing on the wrong side has been insanely good. 4) Beating Liverpool, United, Everton, Spurs and Arsenal and City twice. Our results have been freakishly inconsistent this year but I'd rather have it this way round than be in a situation like Arsenal who crumble against the big boys. I fully expect Mourinho to iron out the small teams problem next year, especially with a good striker. 5) Winning the Champions League...
  16. Eto'o Ba Lukaku Bamford Anyone in the youth/reserves Anyone else Torres
  17. Bamford just scored for Derby, get him on the phone for the 2nd half.
  18. Appears to be, probably wants to see Lamps attacking much more.
  19. Team is: Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpi, Lampard, Luiz, Matic, Hazard, Schurrle, Torres.
  20. They've been beating sh*te teams 1/2-0, I'd like to think we would provide more of a challenge than Nice and co. Their going to have to up their game massively to take on a team that's beaten Man City and Arsenal twice, Liverpool, United and Spurs and were a few moments away from beating Bayern.
  21. Not a loss but I was livid after the 2-2 draw at Anfield last year. FSW decides to take off our 2 best players in Hazard and Mata, then the team is struggling to deal with lots of aerial balls into the box. If only there was a sub good at organising the defence and good in the air...so he brings Benayoun on instead of JT. 6 minutes of injury time are plucked out of thin air, are completed then the ball goes dead and another 90 seconds appear and the biter goes and scores. And the worst bit is that after the match, FSW didn't complain at all, just thanked the Liverpool fans. I always thought people were too hard on him but after that I was all aboard the FSW OUT train,
