Hodgson "joke" row
I saw people on Twitter accusing Ash of being the snitch... What bollocks... He wasn't even there. Who did though? Walcott doesn't strike me as that sort of person at all. Who do we know who plays for England who is a bit selfish, puts himself before his team, and loves to kick up a fuss when stuff doesn't go his way? Oh wait...

Hodgson "joke" row
http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/248375.html Looks like our old buddies Kick It Out are back in the press again. Utterly bonkers story that even the "victim" has denounced. People wonder why our players sometimes seem to hate playing for their country... this is probably why. We've literally just qualified for the 2014 World Cup and the media is already hard at work character assassinating everyone from the manager down.

Welcome André Schürrle *Official*
Schurrle must start against Cardiff. He is LONG overdue a goal for us and to say he has some momentum now is a bit of an understatement.

My national team are sh*te, so this WC I am watching...
You and the rest of nation Can you imagine the media frenzy if we had to face a play-off?

Off to Brazil we go then. I doubt we have the stones to win the World Cup let alone reach a the final but I think we can at least reach the semi's this time. Who should we take on the plane to Brazil though? Cahill is almost a given, he's been rock solid for England in defense. Baines is a no-brainer too as is Rooney and Gerrard. I'd still take Rickie Lambert over Sturridge though.

It's only a matter of time until Schurrle scores for us, it's only a matter of time.

Lewandowski Jose's No.1 target
Said my piece in the other (one of the many) thread but I'll re-iterate here. This is either a ploy to bolster his value and twist Bayern's arm or it's him (or his agent) genuinely advertising to the Premier League top dogs. I'd have Lewandowski here in a heartbeat, free or otherwise. If he comes on the market in January we need to break the bank to get him here.

Oscar - Little Diamond
Incredible that we got this fella for £18mil. People often slate us when it comes to transfer dealings but we landed a true gem with Oscar. Also with Mata. Also with the Hazard brothers... We've yet to use the younger one but he's shaping up to be a real steal as well.

The Striker Situation
Doubt it's going to happen but I can see Dortmund flipping the bird at Bayern and trying to offload him before he goes on a free. If that happens it'll be between us and Arsenal to sign him. Torres / Lukaku / Lewand would be nice to have next season. This is another perk to us having Jose back in the dugout, he's a big name manager who can attract some likewise big name players. If Robert had the choice of either joining Arsenal who are still struggling to win a trophy again or joining a resurgent Chelsea under Jose Mourinho's new dynasty... I think he'd choose us.

Think this will be a comfortable win for us. Might not be a clean sheet but a win none-the-less. I really want to see Schurrle score in this game, he's worked his socks off and deserves it. Be nice to see Mata get on the sheet as well.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
I have a feeling that Jose might actually pull off the seemingly impossible: Torres's Revival. If he does all bets are off as to who the greatest manager of all time is.

This Bayern side
Despite all that has happened between ourselves and Bayern Munich, what with the Champion's League final and the recent Super Cup, I have nothing but admiration and respect for them. Last year I was 100% supporting them after we crashed out and was stoked that they not only won the Champion's League but won it at Wembley, especially considering we beat them in Germany the year before. I would say we're roughly even now as far as the score goes. I thought that it'd be impossible for Pep Guardiola to build on what Bayern Munich have already achieved but he seems to be doing something right. Perhaps his time at Barcelona was not a total fluke after all. Again, I'm rather fond of both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Actually, I hope that the stock of the Bundesliga continues to grow and overshadow La Liga. Another German team winning the Champion's League this year will surely begin to turn more heads. On another note. Whenever England inevitably get knocked out of World Cups I always fall back on supporting the Germans. Call me an unpatriotic person (hint: I'm not) but I just love seeing the Germans mercilessly tear teams to pieces. They play like the Spanish do but they don't mind kicking seven shades of sh*t out of teams.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Summation of the day's events. We win 3-1 against Norwich, kudos for them for putting up a fight though. West Brom manage to hold Le Arse to a draw, we'll have to be careful when we next meet them. Hazard scored his first EPL goal of the season. Oscar continues to deliver the goods. Mata saw the pitch. ...Willian scored his first goal for the club and less than two hours later Spuds crash 3-0 to the mighty West Ham. Sweet dreams are made of thiiiiiiiis.
